I have been shopping for insurance after AAA raised our rates by over $1000. So I started an online quote with Mercury insurance bundling homeowners and Auto. I had contacted a few different insurance brokers, and I was surprised by how little engagement, follow up, and follow through there was. In the past, I could rely on the broker's expertise and experience to guide decisions on insurance options, but up until my contact with Gina, I was given little guidance, if there was even any follow up to begin with. Clearly, a significant contributing factor is that the brokers are being buried with more requests than they can keep up with, but it is also clear that some can juggle that workload better than others, and I really appreciate Gina's prompt and responsive help navigating my policy questions and needs while doubtlessly handling many other clients at the same time. I'm shocked at the reviews this company has. My experience is a solid level D service at a job that could be A service with something so easy as communication but I guess some people find responding to emails very difficult. I reached out for a quote and received it three days later but sadly forgot to inform the rep that I'm building an ADU as well and would like to supply information needed on that. The last response I received from Carrie their rep was on 07/15/25 asking me why wasn't she informed about the Adu. Today is 07/31/25 still no response. I replied to her question same day I was going thru chemo and wasn't feeling well but would supply her information needed which I did once I didn't feel so knocked down. The information was given on 07/20/25 07/28 I asked her via email "I submitted you ADU information requested and would like to confirm you received my information via email since I didn't hear back from you. If you can please confirm it was received" 07/31 still no response from her. 13 days later still no response from a company you're trying to buy insurance from. People reading this. Trust me, good service still exists out there and this is not the place. read more
