Very Disappointing Customer Service Experience I recently received assistance from a AAA representative named Phillip, and unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. I expected professional, respectful, and helpful customer service, but instead I felt that my concerns were not handled appropriately and that I was given very poor service. Phillip's communication and overall approach left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied. When I reached out to AAA, I expected someone who would listen, explain my options clearly, and make an effort to resolve my issue. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I hope AAA takes this feedback seriously and reviews how this interaction was handled. Customers deserve to feel respected and supported, especially when they are reaching out for assistance. I have been a AAA member for a bit. I renewed my membership in person May 2025 when I was back stateside and on Long Island in NY. Loved my experience on that day with the AAA office and team at their Franklin Avenue location in Garden City in Nassau County and wrote a 5 Star Yelp review acknowledging and thanking them. * I did mention to them that I am a nomad and to ensure that the service be valid nationwide. I presented my e mails from AAA, my DL, military ID, and phone number and e mail address plus my screen shot of my receipt at AAA on Tuesday 5/06/2025. Mr Ramsey in window number 8 - God Bless You! The scam is " we can't find you in the nationwide system . Oh but I can get you everything in your e mail for $207 today, that's a great rate. " Ray Ray thinking on the inside - Moron, that's my membership e mail( nationwide coverage). I have coverage already; it is prepaid. He added an additional discount and got really desperate. I picked up my stuff, smiled and walked out. I called AAA at 1 800 922 8228 and got transferred to the NY division who sent me a digital card and my updated info in 4 minutes. I feel like the people in here just don't want to help you and will turn you away any way they can. One time I went in just to pay a muscle fee for a boat and they told me they couldn't help without additional paperwork. I went into another AAA that same day and had no problems. Same thing trying insure a motorcycle they told me they couldn't do it because it's salvaged. I went to another AAA down the street and they did it no problem don't go to this location. read more

I have been in contact with Kristen for a little over 3 years now. I've been wanting to arrange a trip to Ireland for some time now but... life get's in the way so for all the work she put in with me, I'm sure she probably thought I wasn't really EVER going to go. It is hard to reach someone there. I email Kristen then I'll leave her a message and granted that my trip isn't for a while and perhaps they have more pressing travel arrangements coming up so I will take that into consideration. Kristen has always demonstrated patience with me and if she wasn't familiar with something in particular I was asking about she would get back to me. I am a VERY picky guest with luxurious taste so I figured I would keep up with her. I finally booked my trip on my own but wanted her to get the credit even though it was something she and I never discussed before. The convenience of using AAA travel services can't be beat especially they allow you to make payments and they are 'hands-on' for the details. Keep in mind though if it is with an operator (in my case) that they have no relationship with... their control is limited. Bad experience. The lady looked at all the title transfer paperwork I had provided her and she looked at me and told me she couldn't help me with anything and didn't provide me with any info or solution on what she needed in order to transfer the title and just said "you don't have the correct paperwork" . I drove over to the location in Laverne with the exact same paper work I brought to the upland location and they had told me that the upland worker didn't know what she was doing and Laverne took care of all my paperwork and settled everything. I'll continue to go to Laverne instead of upland because of their customer service. read more

Paid $199.00 to have the Upland AAA Instructor attend my Daughters DMV Behind the Wheel Test, utilize the AAA Car, after she completed the Driving School. We met the Instructor at the AAA in Upland. My Daughter and the Instructor drove to the DMV, while I waited in the Parking Lot of AAA. I get a call from the AAA Instructor 10 mins after my Daughter's Appointment time. AAA Instructor tells me my Daughter has to reschedule her Behind the Wheel Test, since the AAA Car Registration hasn't been paid. True story... Wasted an entire day off from work. I called Corporate right away to request a Refund and they obliged. I asked if this is a common practice of theirs. The Rep told me they have never heard of such a thing happening. The next available Appointment my Daughter could be scheduled for, is one month out. Unbelievable. Great Instructors though. read more

My fiancé and I made an appointment yesterday morning (Saturday) to meet with a travel agent to book our honeymoon. We were lucky to be paired up with Kristen who was so friendly and knowledgeable about the various resorts available in the Dominican Republic. While we ended up booking through Costco (at a better price), we appreciated the wisdom and time Kristen shared with us. I did not give this location the full amount of stars for two reasons: a.) It is very difficult to get ahold of someone during the day via the phone. I had to leave a message and I called back again before my message was returned. b.) I was disappointed that Kristen did not ask us about our honeymoon goals or offer us suggestions for other similar locations within our budget (that was shared with her without her even asking). She started throwing options and suggestions to us before we even shared that we wanted to merely relax on a beach, our trip expectations, etc. She also did not seem too promising about price-matching with Costco (even though we had been told AAA does this). This was probably the most deterring factor for us to stick with Costco. Overall I would return to this location and request to work with Kristen again. I just want to start off by saying I LOVE AAA!! I signed up with AAA at the Irvine branch since it's by my office and I have always experienced the best services from them whenever I come by for discount tickets, go over my protect, and so on... They are usually so helpful. I have also been to multiple other branches including the Rancho Cucamonga, Anaheim and a few others. Apparently it is just this Upland branch that seems to be hiring insufficient individuals who are not up to par in customer service. I came by on a Saturday afternoon (around 12:30pm) and as I walked in, the girl at the front saw me and started walking away... Then she came back and asked what I needed. I inquired about the Knott's Berry Farm tickets in which she flat out said, "we don't do Knotts." I have seen it listed on my promo and the website so I asked her if she was sure. She thoroughly expressed her annoyance with me and said that she would check on it. I thought she would walk over and ask someone, but instead she literally YELLED OVER to some Joe person about the Knotts tickets and they YELLED BACK that they don't have it. I was quite confused and I told her I saw it online. Then she tells me that I can only get it online... And I was just like, you just told me you guys don't have it. And she was like blah blah blah it's only online and it's just like their summer promos. At this point I didn't want to waste anymore of my Saturday afternoon arguing with some clueless **insert colorful noun here** so I just left... NEVER COMING BACK!! I had AAA about 50 years, I no longer drive, I am 89. During that time I have been sitting at a signal (red) 3 times when rear ended. Never a problem, always easily handled and everyone was treated fairly and respectfully. They have towed me, they have replaced a battery, they have changed tires and they have opened my door when my dog knocked my keys out of my hand as the door closed, locking me out of my car. I had my phone in my pocket and did not have my insurance card number but they were there in 15 minutes. Always courteous and prompt. The price was reasonable, and service was always prompt, I would have been a customer longer except when I was young I married a man with a DUI. When I was notifying them I would be changing last name and address the agent checked his driving record & told me about the DUI & that they would not insure him due to the DUI and I would have to be canceled. He advised me to change insurance in order not to have an insurance cancellation on my drivers record, because that would cause me to have to pay more on insurance. I appreciated that advice, should have reconsidered the marriage, it did not last, when I divorced him I insured with AAA again. I still have my Renters & Flood Insurance with AAA. read more

Phone call - sure there's a menu, but it took less than a minute for someone to pick up. I ask my question, they asked for my license plate number, and looked up my info and how much it cost. Arrival - per habit, I stop by the member check in desk. Since I only had a renewal, I was pointed around and behind the desk, no check in required. I am very disappointed with this location. Their insurance department is unfriendly and unhelpful. I called in January and was told that my renters insurance was on automatic renewal and I would get a copy in the mail. I never did!!! So by March i called because I had not received anything andturns out I had not been on automatic payment so I now had a lapse in my renters insurance!!!! So I was charged and helped with setting up automatic payment. Then a few weeks later still no copy of my renters insurance. My husband called and was told we didn't have renters insurance and had not payed... my bank statements say otherwise!!!! And he was told that they did not have my email on file... my email history full of emails would also say otherwise! So today I received a bill in the mail dated 3+ weeks ago saying we owed.
