My wife took our 13 year old toy poodle here and he came back a mess. Refer to pictures(first 2 are his baseline, then how we received him). His hair wasn't cut right and worst of all he was bruised up. My wife reluctantly paid and upon seeing him after work, I went there the next day myself. I'm a professional, so when I walked in I asked the lady in front (now who I know is likely the owner, I think her name is Stephanie) and stated that I'd like to speak to 2 people: first, whoever cut his hair, and two, whoever is in charge. Her response: "Ok. Talk." Realizing she's never had customer service training, I asked which of the two people she was then. She said she was "in charge" so I asked to speak to whoever cut his hair first. Out comes the groomer and I asked how his hair cut went yesterday. She states that he did well, that he was obedient and that he had no issues. I inquire about his huge bruise and she states: "oh no that's his skin." I explain to her that no, it's a bruise. He's a lap 7.8lb lapdog and after 13 years, I know his little moles etc but this is 100% a bruise. She suggests I "go to the vet if I want a second opinion." I didn't know her opinion counted as 1st, and what I'd really like to know who she thought was going to pay that visit. I inquire why half the hair on his head is long vs the other. Now her and the "manager" state that they have clear policies about not being rough with uncooperative dogs to achieve a perfect cut. My counterargument is he's 13: he's easily been groomed more than 100 times and never has he comes out looking this disheveled. Their response: "oh well maybe those places were a lot rougher!" I was stupefied: "yet he's never come home bruised this way!" The conversation then turned into them telling me a puppy cut doesn't exist, which again he's been groomed 100+ times in multiple states and even countries and while I understand there may be slight differences, everyone knows what I mean. Apparently not here. Then they keep telling me go to a vet for a second opinion. Seeing this was going nowhere, I asked if I could speak to the manager separately. I was very clear: given what has happened here, what I think is fair is a refund and an apology. She she begrudgingly gave me the refund and no apology was ever uttered. I feel responsible for my dog's suffering. The bruise to me looks like a pinch. His nails were too short and he licked them for 3 days uncomfortably. He didn't eat for 2 days and shook constantly. I really wish his usual groomer hadn't been on vacation. I wish I had just waited. I recommend you look elsewhere, for your little one's sake. This business is totally unprofessional.

Our dog was attacked by another dog a few years ago & that trauma left him very uneasy around other dogs...he loves people...so we have to find the right person to care for his grooming needs. Cookies Paws was the 3rd one we tried after moving to Morris County in July 2021. Today was no different than the last time...she confirmed & was here on time. Manny had no problem jumping into her grooming truck and walked out happy & excited. Manny looks great, smells great, & feels great I highly recommend her! PS she may not answer right away but work with her...she's a solo MOBILE business owner. And FYI her personality is soft & gentle which I prefer for my dog because pets feel our energy & react accordingly. SIDE NOTE: Be considerate & kind to hard working businesses especially a mobile business that travels from client to client like Cookies Paws.

She was very uncaring for a dog that had some health issues that she was aware of and was not at all patient with him and he had a stroke and a heart attack within an hour after her grooming. In addition.. she gave him a terrible haircut prior to his death which was his last experience before suffocating and passing away. She got very loud with me after calling me while she was still on my driveway to find out if I like The grooming job. Don't know why she called me obviously she felt something was wrong or knew the dog was having a problem from her mishandling him. Unfortunately I picked up the phone thinking that maybe I overpaid her for underpaid her and I didn't even have a chance to look at my dog yet as my husband brought him in. I told Tracy to give me a minute to look him over and it was a terrible haircut! She cut away too much in the wrong areas. If she didn't call me out of guilt I don't really know why she called and unfortunately I brought him back out to her as she was still on my driveway to fix something in a professional manner. I wish I would have just let it be the way it was as it is only hair and it grows back and he might still be alive as he was fine that day until that point in time. She was yelling at me and making him very nervous and pointing scissors near his eyes and pulling the fur on his face while she was talking to me about what she did and didn't do. She made my dog very upset and nervous and caused the heart attack and or stroke but he died on our way to the vet. He was the love of my life and she had a very uncaring attitude all she said was,"it must have been his time". Well maybe somebody will say that to her when her children pass away or something terrible happens to her I guess it's their time! Do not use this groomer! We are trying to make people aware that she is very harmful and should not be a dog groomer as she has no love for dogs and very bad client skills. We hope she goes out of business.

The groomer was rough from start to finish and argued with me about my dogs minor health issue. I didn't need a diagnosis because your not a vet and I know full well of her ability to be groomed and yes Petsmart does a better job. If my dog could have looked in the mirror like us humans do after a visit for a shampoo and cut, she would not have been happy, especially for a $125 cost.

However, after a few interactions with a certain employee at this groomer's, I have to leave a complaint. I believe this employee was hired around summer time when I first brought my dog in for a haircut. They have a round face and curly black hair. Initially, I figured they were in training so I didn't say anything about the person not being knowledgeable when I asked certain questions. However, I recently went to have my dog groomed for the second time and this person was very rude to me over the phone and in person. I called the groomer's to check in on Ellie during her service which was from 9:30-12:30. I was told I'd receive a call about 12:15 or so. I didn't so I called them myself. This person picked up the phone and I asked if they could give me a rough estimate of when my dog would be finished. She said, "We can't give you an estimate. She just got on the table." I was polite and said, "Ok, no worries. Thank you" Click. She hung up without saying anything else. Prior to coming, I asked her about anal gland expression to which she said, "It's when we express their anal glands". I said, "Yes, I understand that but can you please tell me more" the other woman who was older in purple and had more experience had to step in and explain to me. This woman has always been very friendly. This afternoon, I brought in the tip for the services provided yesterday since I forgot to give it to the groomer yesterday. Upon walking in, I said, "Hi, I'm so sorry but I forgot to tip yesterday. I wanted to make sure you got your money!" The girl with curly hair said, "Ok" and turned her back on me. The older woman in the back mouthed "Thank you!" which I appreciated. I'm not one to leave a bad review for a wonderful business but I was offended by this employee's demeanor. Not friendly whatsoever. Very off putting. I am considering going elsewhere, but B & B really is an amazing spot.
