She repeated that I had to select "gift wrap" during online checkout, but from a customer's perspective, after waiting in a long line, receiving 10 gift items stuffed into a small shopping bag was extremely disappointing. I understand store policies, but I expected at least a simple wrapping option or even an extra shopping bag. The way I was spoken to and dismissed made me feel very uncomfortable, and I couldn't help feeling that I was being treated differently--possibly because I'm Asian. I definitely won't be returning after this experience, and I regret not asking for the employee's name (short-haired lady with not-so-fluent English).

As long as you go in through the right entrance, you don't have to walk the whole mall, although we love the huge size and selection at Great Lakes! We used the map right by the door and found GameStop quickly. The mall felt welcoming and had a lot going on, so it's definitely a place you could spend more time if you wanted to. Even though we didn't need help from mall staff, we were greeted by a few people as we walked through, which was nice. It turned out to be a smooth and easy visit overall.

My favorite stores to shop here were: Just Cozy, TJ Maxx, Burlington, and The Nike Store. All of these stores had items that I needed and all of them had a large variety to choose from. Many of these stores also had great sales and specials. They had a Winter Wonderland setup and Santa Claus was there for photos. I also appreciated that they had Christmas Carolers from a local church group singing live here. The food court was not good. We had a family member get sick from the Japanese food place, so please be careful. The variety in the food court is also a range of different options, which was good. This indoor mall is now my fave here.

She also has a point system that links to your account, (so that you don't have to worry about keeping track of a card or something like other places have done) & when your points add up you get a discount off of your order. There is always sale items on the back racks. She does pop ups and fun sip and shops. She posts on her Facebook and IG, so I make sure to follow so I can stop up and have a mimosa and shop. :) I have ordered online and I love that it gives a description and size measurements so that I have no problems. As soon as I told her what I was shopping for she was right on top of leading me to the proper section with clothing I was looking for. On top of that she was making sure I knew of all the amazing deals they had going on (which there were a lot of deals and they were surprisingly amazing). She helped me pick out new work pants that were comfortable, affordable, fit right, and looked great. She also helped my mom find some new clothes just because of the great deals. The store is fed by the left overs from the non-outlet stores in the area, which if you shop Eddie Bauer like I do then you know that the Oakland Mall store and the Somerset Mall store do not carry the same things, but at the Outlet you'll get some from each. The staff are always helpful, the selection always good and the "take an additional 70% off the lowest marked price" section always packed. Perfect!

It's at the very end of the village area, with it's own parking lot! Von Maur sells clothing and also does free alterations on items you purchase there. Lots of different sizes are available, including men's childrens and of course, womens. My mom and I love it here because they also have great markdowns and sales. Some of the clothing can be expensive, but not any more then other places. The service here is great, and we've never had a problem. Each department has their own staff and there's always someone around. They also offer gift wrapping upstairs, and have a charge card that doesn't charge any interest. I've gotten quite a few outfits from them over the years and it's been a great experience thus far.

I have been to their Somerset store before, I am not someone who buys too much from them, but I might now, since this store had great prices. I also love their cute whale logo.
