This has been the absolute best experience I've ever had in an auto parts store in my almost four…read moredecades on this Earth. Listen, I've owned my share of used cars. With that comes trips to auto parts stores. I purchased yesterday and I'm STILL thinking about the amazing service I received! I needed to get a battery. My husband attempted a battery purchase at XXX (a store that provided crappy service). I attempted a battery purchase at XXX-mart, but the line was incredibly long and moving super slow. While in line, I called Advance Auto Parts. I talked to Rick on the phone and that's when it all changed. He was extremely polite, knowledgeable, and said he could help. I got out of line and went straight to store #01706 in Pontiac, MI. When I got there, Rick remembered talking to me. He popped the hood and got to work! He explained the warranty, cold cranking amps, and installation. I know plenty about vehicles (remember, I've owned a LOT of used vehicles) and everything Rick told me was on the up and up. While I waited, I watched Rick greet every customer who walked in - even some by name. He was genuinely pleasant and I could tell he enjoyed what he was doing. I don't know if Rick is the manager, but he should be. He carries himself like a natural leader who knows service. I've worked in hospitality management and I know great service. It can't be taught. While DoorDashing with my daughter, I was assigned to deliver an auto part from their store. When I arrived, the customer informed me that they had not ordered the part. Unfortunately, I was unable to get in touch with DoorDash to resolve the situation that evening, so I returned home and brought the part back to the store the next morning. The young man working that day was incredibly appreciative that I took the time to return the item. His professionalism, gratitude, and genuine kindness left a lasting impression on me. Both Hass and Rx assured me the parts were available and to send my daughter and "They Got Me"... My daughter arrived in Columbus with only the rocker Moldings and after the holiday she went back home and called Holbrook in Brownstown to get the pieces that were missing. The supposed manager, Nate vehemently denied responsibility blaming my daughter that was no more than a delivery person on top of that Nate was rude and kept overtalking me. I offered to send him the text I sent my daughter that described in detail the parts we wanted and that my daughter read to Rex but her refused to allow. I asked to speak with him and Rex or Haas and refused to do that. I told him that I thought this was a pretty dirty move to steal $200 dollars and blame it on my kid and then Nate hung up. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB as well as the state Attorney General. After speaking to Nate I am certain he will choose to disregard the complaints but hopefully many people over time will read this review and my other complaints and go elsewhere for any used part needs.

Most of what you see in the industrial park is, well, industrical buildings - warehouses, especially. The customer counter for Terminal Supply Co isn't facing the street - it's between two of the Terminal Supply buildings. The guy working the counter seems to enjoy helping to solve your electrical questions and problems. In our case, we needed a crimper-majobber to do something to an automotive wire harness with an open-something-or-other. The man at the counter first brought us the very best tool for the job (and exactly what we asked for) but when it ended up being a little more than $80, he had a perfect suggestion that would still get what we needed done. Some places with a main business and then a cute little customer counter seem annoyed by live customers, but not Terminal Supply Co. If you need something they offer, they're happy to help you pick it up right there.
