I place an order online on March 29. My credit card was charged March 31. I received an email telling me my product was delivered on April 15. Unfortunately, it was not delivered. I contacted Marge at Torrid and she said she could not find my order. I told her I would have to dispute the charge and she agreed. From the moment we walked in the store and were appalled by the customer service girl asking if we (grown people) were messing with their clothes & leaving them laying around to one of the reps taking the clothes I was shopping for right out of my hands, saying I can hold those at the register for you. if I wanted my stuff held at the counter I would've asked them to hold it. I was literally gifted a top for my birthday 5 days ago and when I went to exchange it for store credit the store clerk basically scoffed at me telling me the top was too old she couldn't find it in her system. I went in today looking for an outfit for my interview tomorrow, totally stressed out because I'm going from wearing scrubs to looking for something more business to wear. I usually have great service with a phone call to check if they have a collection or an item in stock. This time I did a call in & I was put on hold with a girl sounding panicked which made me a little uncomfortable but when she came back on she sounded fine & when I asked to see if the store had a jacket in stock, she said "I'm not sure, this isn't my store so I don't really know." Ok... I had to ask the internal question "Am I even talking to an employee? What's going on?" I politely hung up& made a call to the Glendale location where I was conversed with professionally and properly if they had the items in stock. I don't know what happened at this Torrid's but employees should be aware of how to speak properly with a customer or anyone because this was a very uncomfortable short conversation with customer service. I didn't have the greatest experience yesterday (nobody greeted me, no offered help, I had to hunt down someone to get a dressing room) but I normally do. On other visits, they're always so nice, helpful and they always make sure you're satisfied. Yesterday, I hope that will be the only time I received bad service. Uh yeah, I don't think I'll be shopping at this location for a while, which is disappointing because this is one of my favorite shopping centers for stores I like. I came in to do a return and make an additional purchase. I'm used to being greeted as soon as I walk in, that didn't happen here (which is fine, it just set the tone for the whole experience though). In the store there were 3 employees and only 2 other shoppers. Once I find what I want, I go to the registers to make my transactions. The employee working the register is just standing there talking to 2 ladies about their pets. They continue to talk for a couple minutes before the employee even begins to ring up their stuff. Once she finally start ringing them up, not only is the employee stopping to yak away about irrelevant things, but the customer keeps going back and forth with different items she wants to add to her transactions. Their checkout took 10 minutes! The problem I have with this is that this goes on for 10 minutes (I'm the only other person in line) and not once did the employee ever acknowledge me or even say "I'll be right with you". The other thing that was weird was that during this whole process another employee walks up to the registers and just stands there and says nothing for over 5 minutes, she didn't acknowledge me either and she literally was not helping anyone or doing anything, she was just standing there behind the registers, staring at us. Once it was finally my turn to process my return and make my purchase, the employee and the previous customer are STILL talking across the store while she is trying to ring me up. The employee had attitude with me and acted like I was an inconvenience and was not very nice or cordial at all, and she also very rudely informed me that I will be "losing my reward too" (VIP reward used on returned item). Also keep in mind that the other employee is still standing there staring at us. I was so happy when my transaction was over and I could leave the store. My husband and I both agreed that it was a weird vibe and bad service. I'm so put off that I will not come back for a long time. read more

I'm giving one star because 0 star is not an option. I got a $10 coupon and I used it to buy the Mickey Mouse ears $11.46 so I ended up paying only $1.46 I'm so excited even tried to bragged about it to everyone about what a nice deal I got from this store. I ordered my stuff on 2/14/19 and it's 3/8/19 and still haven't come in yet. I've been calling the store if they received it and flat out lie that they didn't receive anything with my name or order number and told me to call customer service come to find out that they messed up didn't call me when my package arrived and sent it back to the warehouse. The nerve of the customers service told me that they just going to return my $1.46 I mean seriously? No, u guys should of handle that better than it should. This is the 2nd time you guys didn't call me when my stuff arrived. It's either u guys need to handle online orders better or find employees that competent enough to follow through the orders. I'm so disappointed regardless of how much money a customer spent u guys should of follow right procedures. I went to this store twice and each time I was not acknowledged when I entered the store. I went to the store today with My Mom and aunts and were barely acknowledged. However, I noticed that when white women walked in the store, they were greeted and one of the sales girl Courtney even told them her name and asked them if they needed help to let them know. We weren't provided the same level of customer service. Needless to say, I purchased what I wanted and got the hell up out of there. I will contact the manager to let them know that they should treat everyone with the same level of customer service. My original post was written almost a year ago and I haven't stepped back into this particular store location. However, I did want to add that MY review was based on MY EXPERIENCE! ALL reviews are based upon one's experience! CUSTOMER SERVICE is something that I pay very close attention to and the lack thereof was what MY family and I experienced!!! Courtney and the other salesperson may very well NOT be a racist and its possible that it was unintentional. However, the point I was trying to make was that in those moments I felt as though I was being discriminated against. It doesn't matter what color/race any of us are. She is like one of the sweetest workers there along with everyone else who works there.
