Bad experience here. I was not able to pick up an online order within the time window. So I figured I'd call and maybe they would hold it for the next day. I was assured that it would be held for me and not canceled. I went the next day to pick up and they had canceled it. The manager/supervisor then told me they have to cancel the order, no exceptions, didn't seem to care. She said I could purchase the items again with a price match from my original order. So I attempted to do so and the other salesperson could not find my order in the computer because it had been canceled. All in all a huge waste of time. It shouldn't be a problem to hold an order an extra day. Nor should it take 10 minutes to find someone's order in the system. With time to get there and then waiting to leave with nothing I wasted over an hour of my time. read more

I went into this Torrid store looking for a new outfit for a family/friends graduation. My mom and I came in with our nose and mouth covered by a face shield. A little inside knowledge about me, I am pregnant and and my mask is approved/suggested by my doctor. My mother is vaccinated. We both got asked to leave by a tall, white, blonde woman who said "No cloth mask then you have to leave." (I am describing what she looked like because I didn't catch her name) This is the first store we've ever been kicked out of because of our masks! I also used to work for TORRID and helped this store out a lot, this store always struggled with sales and keeping employees. Speaking of keeping employees, I noticed a hiring binder to the right of the front door. I would have loved to drop some money and shop shop shop. I love Torrid, it's a shame that since covid Manners and customer service have been thrown to the waste side. As a previous employee we trained about the 3 C's! Trust me she did not make us feel confident or comfortable. Sadly we will not be returning! I hope Kathleen addresses this individual. read more

As a lady of the curvaceous persuasion, you better believe I am all about stores that are, in turn, all about that bass. And Torrid, being a plus-size retailer, absolutely hits that mark. I remember Torrid back when it was online-only, and one of the only places you could find truly trendy clothing options above a size 12. Torrid specializes in size 12+ clothing, with pants available in short, regular, and tall lengths, and its own sizing system (0 - 4) for tops and elastic-waisted bottoms. According to the sales girl, their other sizing system goes like this: 0 = 12, 1 = 14, 2 = 16, etc. The clothing is also cut for curvier bodies, which made my pants fit better than the same sizes at conventional clothing stores (like Old Navy), which is great. I happened to go in during a storewide Buy One, Get One Half Off sale, so naturally I walked out with two full shopping bags, heh. Torrid isn't particularly inexpensive (jeans are priced at $58), especially considering its surrounding stores in the Springfield Town Center include Forever21 and H&M, but it is nice to walk into a store knowing that you'll be able to find every clothing item in your size without fail (which is definitely NOT the case at Forever21). Honestly my problem is only with one person. Deloris, or Delora. I don't remember her name but she was very rude to the employees making them run around like chickens with their heads cut off while she was on her phone the entire time! Time times I've been there she's never greeted me or told me about the promotions. Never asked if I needed anything. She always stays behind the counter doing nothing. This nice girl with braids came up to me and asked what I needed and even brought some cute tops to the fitting room. Something needs to be done about Deloris because every time I am there she isn't doing anything. If it wasn't for the fact that this is the only Torrid close to me I would definitely stop shopping there because of her. So rude! read more

I love the women who work in this store. The customer service is exceptional. I also love Torrid's amazing selection of clothes for women who aren't a size 2. They have plenty of things that are appropriate for people my age (52) who want to look fashionable without looking like we're trying too hard. I LOVE this location in particular. Always have all the new arrivals and have so much more of a selection. I come here pretty frequently and i feel that the customer service is great. I discovered torrid not too long ago and LOVE that they offer , short,tall and regular jean sizes. I don't know of any other store that does that. Torrid is my go-to store, i don't shop anywhere else anymore. I know that whenever i find something i love here, it's even better when they hug at just the right places and look flattering on me. I suggest signing up for their "torrid insider" rewards. Their monthly brochure comes in the mail with coupons and their new arrivals. Also, quarterly they have haute cash which is 25$ off a 50$ purchase coupons that you rack up from previous purchases,it is such a deal!!! I looove torrid!! read more

Such an amazing store. They carry plus sizes and accessories. The clothes are decent in quality and the prices range from decent to expensive. But they always have some sort of a special going on. I recently bought some leggings and found out they had a hole in it. I brought it back in for an exchange and they were so kind and understanding. I was in and out in minutes. UPDATE: 3 days after writing this review, I got a reply from Torrid stating: "we are so sorry to hear that you left our store feeling like anything other than the valued customer that you are" and "we would love the opportunity to look further into this and have someone personally reach out to you." I was given an email address, so I contacted them and.... nothing. Nobody bothered reaching back out to me to make me feel like the "valued customer" they claimed I was. Torrid's replies to the multiple angry Yelpers is B.S. - just a way for them to look good by making others think they are actually doing something or actually care about their customers when in reality they are ingnoring the issue. read more

I ordered shoes on 10/4 and they were supposed to be here by 10/11. Its 10/13 no shoes, no email, nothing. Waited on hold for 45 minutes and still cant get the shoes until 10/18. Which is Monday and the wedding is Sat 10/16. Thanks for nothing! I want my money back! read more

This is regarding feedback on my store purchase today. I tried on two pair of skinny jeans. I purchased one pair and a t-shirt. The cashier asked for my drivers license when I gave her my credit card. I had to search through my wallet to find it so it took me a minute. She said "there it is!". (in my wallet?). I don't need help looking in my personal wallet for my license. I let it go. When she got ready to hand me my bag, I reached for it over the counter and she moved it out of my reach and came around the counter to give it to me (??). When I grabbed for the bag, she looked down into my pocket book. This is very unfortunate to be treated that way. I am a good customer. Well I WAS a good customer. I wasn't intending on spending $80 on a pair of jeans, but when you need good fitting "curvy" jeans, they aren't cheap. They had a buy one get on 50% off thing going, so it was two pairs %25/off. The salesperson was nice to me even though she had an armful of clothes, and checked on me in the dressing room, that's pretty good on a Saturday I thought. It was my first visit--lot of cute plus size clothes, good style--I'm older so don't want to look foolish in the clothes, and there was enough there for me as well as the mostly younger crowd I saw there. Like I said, needed modest and well fitting jeans. So they didn't fit at home after wearing (they DO stretch more, beware) and I called just now, they were perfectly nice about exchanging them. I have to go back, but oh well. I would recommend this place to young and old. PS. Most people wore the face masks but not all, no conflict going on over that--some kid was in the store actually eating lunch but everyone rolled with it. Employees wore masks which I appreciated. PS. Torrid is my new favorite store! I visited Torrid at Springfield Town Center, also my first visit to the new mall, very nice in every way. At Torrid, I discovered a treasure chest of boots on clearance, in just my size. I am a tall, curvy woman who wears a size 10-11 wide shoe, and I have always had big legs, even when I was a skinny Minnie, so I have always had trouble finding boots wide enough to zip up all the way. Not so at Torrid; they had a fabulous selection of stylish, high quality boots in larger wide sizes, designed for women like me, to fit those full calves. I was in heaven! The sales associates, Sullie and Denay, were very friendly and helpful, offered suggestions without being pushy, called another store to place a pair of boots on hold for me, and brought me items in my size to try on. I bought 7 pairs of boots, all on clearance, and several items of clothing as well, perfect for my figure. Denay even helped me take my purchases to my car because I had more than I could carry in on trip. Fantastic experience, and I will definitely be back. read more

i've been a customer with torrid for awhile now . even got a membership credit card with them . unfortunately today I have chosen to no longer purchase from here . spent $300 on two pairs of pants and a shirt because the cost is outrageously high for clothes here . already knowing my size I ran in grabbed some black jeans put them on for my first day and found wholes tares and rips in them that shouldn't have been there asked for a store exchange and they refused . you lost a loyal customer today I will take my business elsewhere for my money's worth ... jeans were shit quality . read more

Torrid is the best store catering to women with wide calfs. I went crazy during Christmas when their boots were 70% off. Even though Torrid is a great place to shop, the Springfield store has the worst customer service. The managers and the employees are rude and bend the rules to cater to the "big spenders"/frequent customers, rather than to enforce store policies to ALL customers.
