Super entertaining. Staff was nice...food was good but just different than what I was expecting. I love tortas but the ones I get in the states from authentic Hispanic establishments are just different. They are loaded with avocado, cheese, jalapeños, and meat that is marinated. You know...the fatter more unhealthy version lol. Which is so good and bad at the same time. The drinks though...wooo! SO GOOD!!! Papas Fritas were yummy. Small shack on the water but I'd return. Torta Brava was an awesome stop. We were cruising by and decided to give it a go. The views are amazing and the staff was super friendly. Luis and Efrain were super helpful with the menu. We ordered a guacamole to start it off and it was super fresh and yummy. I had to try one of their tortas and it did not disappoint me. The bread tasted as if the had just baked it. All infringement were super fresh. If anyone is around the area definitely give it a go read more

OK, you need to pay attention. This place is easily a 5 overall and it's for multiple reasons. Let's start with cost. We're in Cancun. Everything is overpriced. But not this place. Two of us ate lunch, had an appetizer, and I had a tequila shot. $40. The crappy buffet at my resort costs that much for one person. The server, Luis, was super nice. And the food was great. To top it off, it's on the water and outside. Beautiful view. We will be back here for lunch every day until we leave. read more

We were walking down the hotel strip & met some folks that told us to try Torta Brava. We ate here twice & it was fantastic! We loved the tortas. We tried the breaded pork & breaded chicken tortas. They are served on this delicious soft bread with sliced tomato, sliced onion & shredded lettuce. They have a variety of sauces to slather on the tortas. We really like the chipotle sauce. It's really a yummy treat especially with an ice cold Corona with half lime squeeze. Oscar was our server all three times we visited. Great guy! We did not get to see Buch, the resident pelican. But we hope to see him next year. We will definitely be back for some more delicious tortas. The owners are super nice too. read more

This local restaurant is a simple breakfast and brunch place with amazing view with reasonable prices in the hotel zone. We found this place when I was craving for Tortas for the breakfast. I got the perfect torta with eggs and generous amount of cheese. The dipping sauces and salsas are home made and really good better than few of the restaurants I tried in the hotel zone. One sauce in particular the spicy avocado sauce is really good I had my torta dipped in this sauce. We also tried their cheese quesadilla, it is prepared with home made tortillas with bean sauce on the side and we got few veggies as well. Lattes are must try, we ordered dalgona and caramel latte it is very refreshing with added cinnamon powder on top. Perfect ambiance by the water and the interiors have green walls. Service was top notch. Arturo and Oscar were great. Very positive people. The food was OK, I only say this because I'm vegetarian and ordered a cheese quesadilla which was good and filling. Awesome lunch spot in the Cancun hotel zone. We went on a fishing trip which left from a marina just a few hundred feet down from Torta Brava. Stopped here for a quick lunch after we finished fishing. We were the only Americans in the place which was a good sign. Mostly locals... lots of taxi drivers. Waiter was very welcoming. We have been wanting to try Torta Brava for a long time.....upon recommendation from resort staff and fellow travelers who gave many rave reviews. So we pulled ourselves away from the beach and went for lunch. Enjoyed Arrachera Torta with iced cold Victoria beer. The service from the entire staff was great. They are all very friendly here. The food was fresh and delicious. We ordered some fries and was delighted when they came piping hot and Krinkle fries!!! Nice upstairs deck to sit on, good views and music was all enjoyable. Fantastic food. The French fries are AMAZING -- best fries we've ever had. They were crispy crunchy on the outside and soft and delicious on the inside. Shrimp quesadillas were excellent and the equivalent of a Philly cheesesteak was SO good. Reasonable prices and wonderful service from Oscar our waiter. And the Joshua the bartender & margaritas were really great. Best meal we've had in Cancun -- Even counting 4-5 star restaurants. Only drawback is that they're not open for dinner. Out of all the things we ate in Cancun, Torta Brava was HANDS DOWN the best thing we ate. We had the steak sandwich and chicken quesadillas, both were delicious. All of that, a bottle of water, and a tip was less that $10 USD. We ate upstairs that had a beautiful view of the lagoon and a perfect breeze. But do know that they are closed on Mondays. We were so excited to go back that we saved it for the last day of our trip, only to be disappointed that we missed out on the best value on food that Cancun has to offer. We found this place by accident for lunch cause we were tired of walking!! It was cheap, friendly fast service. You order downstairs and then you can go upstairs and sit and look out onto the bay with a nice breeze. The food was delicious, not a huge menu but still plenty to choose from. I'm not even sure what I ordered but it was steak with melted mexican cheese served with tortillas and refried beans and was excellent! My bf had pork tacos which he said were delicious as well. This place is amazing! We stopped here before going on our yacht, and it was the best decision we could have made. The servers were attentive, energetic and loving. They accommodated us very well and always came to see if we needed anything. They even changed the music at my request, and they pulled us up to dance! The food was amazing. The smoothies had fresh fruit and were the perfect hangover cure. I would recommend this place ten times over. They were also very kind and chilled our champagnes while we ate.
