Worst burritos i have ever tried . SUPER DRY ! We ordered 2 asada burritos & they ended up giving us one asada & one we have no idea what it was ( looked like carnitas) . I enjoy the usual "escaping the office" on my lunch break routine, and today was no exception. I'm glad I did because I found this little gem through yelp. Someone in the group yearned for a sandwich and chips...my brain decided to go with Torta because after all it is THE Mexican sandwich, right? The establishment has the feel of a hole in the wall spot as soon as you enter. The menu is straight to the point, easy to read with prices. There are pictures too, but yelp also helps with that! The music playing in the background...estilo Banda Macho today... added to the ambience. After perusing the menu, I decided to stick with the Chilanga Torta and a Mexican coke to wash it down. I plopped myself down on one of their booths and anxiously awaited my order. When it came out I couldn't believe the size of that thing!! The torta was GINORMOUS and fully loaded with all the fixings-milanesa, pork, ham, queso fundido, avocado, refried beans, shredded lettuce, tomatoes, and jalapeños. This was the biggest Torta I have tried eating in my entire life (I took the other half home) AND it was amazingly delicious. The bottled homemade red and green salsa was a bonus. My overall experience was great at this place. I'll definitely be coming back and trying the tacos and their Kuinitos Fries (their version of asada fries with chorizo added to mix- heart attack heaven in the making!!) note: -parking is iffy and easy to miss. -There's a $1 fee to use your credit card/ATM card -share a Torta if you must. Lacking in customer service. Was waiting for someone to attend me and was just about to walk out when the cashier finally came to take my order. The cook was on his phone during this time period. And did not like that fact that he didn't put on gloves. Now on to the torta. The asada was dry and chewy and lacking flavor. For the price I would expect quality ingredients but you get the complete opposite. Was skeptical in coming here because of the recent negative reviews but unfortunately they were corrct. The 2 stars is just for the customer service, I'm not sure what was wrong with the cashier, but customer service is what keeps people coming back and that wasn't the case here today. She was rude, unwilling to be helpful to a new customer, quick to say no you can't do that and not give suggestions on what I could do being I'm paying for any additions I was requesting. Being it was my first time here, the experience was not pleasant. Unfortunately for them that makes new customers not want to come back. This place is a hidden gem. You probably are here reading this because you already know they have HUGE tortas, yes that is very true. However, it's not just the size (though expect to only eat half), it's what's inside that really counts. The tortas are overfilled with tasty goodness, in fact I suggest not getting one of their signature tortas (DF/Chilanga) that pack on ingredient after ingredient. I suggest going semi normal and just getting a pierna or milanesa, the pierna is delicious. This makes it more manageable and you can really savor the flavor more than it being just a grab bag of everything they have in the kitchen. Finding this place made me feel like I am on to something special. If Jonathon Gold was around, this would have been on his radar (if it wasn't already). This place is special. read more

These are some huge tortas. If you haven't ate in a while and have a huge appetite, this is the place for you. I had 'La Chingona' and this thing was too big for me. It has every ingredient necessary for a good torta and I could taste each ingredient. This is great since some places have low quality ingredients and they all blend and get lost within each other. The consome was almost cold and the gorditas looked like they cut it with their bare hands and just threw a bunch of lettuce on top to cover it up . The messiest Gordita I ever had . BEST TORTA SPOT EVER. These bad boys are GINORMOUS!! And the taste is delicious!!! I ordered La Chingona and La Muy Muy (torta) and two bottles de agua fresca drinks (horchata and de tamarindo). I'm no fan of horchata if it's not real but it was actually very refreshing. I could of shared one torta with someone else because the half was very filling. this lives up to its name most definitely! I was in shock when we received our food because the torts was as big as my boyfriends head (it's pretty huge btw) but for the price of the torts i would expect the torts to be the big! The torts we got was " la chilanga" and it had carnitas , Ham, beans, carne Asada and cheese. We also got the kunitos asada fries that had chorizo, asada, beans, cheese and sour cream those were to die for! I would recommend to spilt any of the torta with 2 people. Seriously delicious!!!! Just left the restaurant and I can't get over how good it was! They have high quality, authentic Mexican food for cheap. And their portions... HUGE! I'm a girl with a huge appetite and today was one of the few times that I was not able to finish my food. My bf and I shared some carnitas surtido tacos... Amazing! I'm pretty sure they are my all time favorite tacos :). I also ordered a Torta Cubana which was ginormous. It was soooo good! I only managed to eat half, and I'm impatiently waiting a couple of hours to finish the rest. My bf had a torta de milanesa, and he says it was really good too. This unique spot has a lot to offer. Their tortas are MASSIVE; I absolutely recommend sharing with a friend. I tried the carne asada with queso fundido and it was incredible. The meat needed the fat trimmed off a bit better, but I would just pull that meat out and move on. The torta is fresh, the avocado brings a lot of flavor, and overall it was a fantastic lunch. My group tried the milanesa and pollo tortas, with rave reviews, too. They offer more than tortas and have a daily special that makes trying some of their items more affordable. I didn't think tortas here we're going to be so big. Yes I've heard the tales but never faced one of these beasts before. I however ordered a chingona to share with the wife, I thought "well if it doesn't fill me up I can always go back for seconds" The torta arrived within minutes of ordering it and to my surprise it was magnanimous! My mandibular bone structure is of a human, not an anaconda so there was no way I could bite into the monster like you would any kind of sandwich. Instead you have to work your way in layers I found. The best technique to devour one of them, is to start from the bottom working your way up to the top bread layer. The amount of meat they put in this thing was of epic proportions, 6 different types on the chingona. Mouth watering pierna, salchicha and crisp milanesa were the highlights of all the flavors. They say there's avocado inside but it probably gets lost within the meat avalanche that enters your mouth. The atmosphere is that of a real Mexican joint, food prepared right before your eyes, Mexican regional music and plenty of families enjoying just a great Torta. read more
