Been coming here for years first it was the original Tio now he's son always great food and great prices I luv their menudo give it try!!!

To start it's a ZELLE and CASH ONLY soot. No problem for with that. The place looked clean and well kept. I ordered to go so I can't say much about a "dine in" experience. As far as the food goes I just bought 2 lbs of chicharrón de lonja to try since it was my first time there. The meat was good I just wished they would of chopped it a little finer ready for tacos. Will I go back? probably. The only thing that didn't work for me is having to order in person since they do not take phone orders. I wanted to place a large order (10lbs mixed of carnitas, buche and chicharrón) for a work luncheon but I was told I had to place my order in person. I ended up ordering elsewhere since it defeats the purpose of getting there picking up my order and driving back to work. I would be wasting just about my whole lunch time waiting in line to place my order then wait for my order etc. Anyway like I said the food I did get was good and might be back again. read more

Always flies in the restaurant, staff have an attitude, and can never place phone orders. Any time you call to place a phone order, the owner has the phone instead of the restaurant and tells you to go in person. Dont expect quality service read more

Honestly getting a plate after being hung over with fresh tortillas most definitely hits the spot !

It was so good! Everyone is super friendly. It's not fancy but there was a line the entire time and everyone eating laughing and enjoying their food. I highly recommend it especially if you want good homemade authentic Mexican food. The salsa was also delicious. read more

Best carnitas ever! Good prices too. The prices did go up by like $2 but still decently priced. Bring cash because they don't take cards here. I always get la orden mixta and it's enough for like 4 people. The place looks old and dirty but the foood is good. read more

This Restaurant is a rat hole, so dingy n out dated inside this establishment. Food is so gross & bland, best spot for exquisite carnitas is @ "Carnitas el Artista" located in Inglewood. That establishment is extremely clean, spacious and great customer service. You won't be disappointed! read more

Was looking for some Carnitas for this year's Corona Cinco de Mayo Taco Tuesday . All the usual places where sold out. Yelped and saw this place, decided to give it a try, as I am getting there I realize it's in an old familiar place I probably have not been to in almost 30 years, where Pollo Lucas used to be. I get there and it's as the other reviews described, hope in the wall place, and they have taken good precautions for the corona virus scare. I ask if they sell carnitas by the pound since it's not on the menu, and they do. Exactly what I was looking for. They have buche too, also not on the menu. They saved our Corona Cinco de Mayo Taco Tuesday. The carnitas where good, a couple dollars more than the Vallarta or Northgate would charge per pound, but fresher and not burnt like those places. All of it was edible, sometimes at other places you get chunks of fat or burnt rock hard pieces, so that makes up for the higher price. The taste was good too. Definitely will be back to get our carnitas fix. read more

This place does not look like a place you would want to go to. It does look old and could use some updating, but it is clean inside. I remember coming here as a child when it was a totally different restaurant. My husband kept bugging he wanted to try it so we finally came to try it out. We bought 2lbs of mixed carnitas with its respective salsa and it was delicious. The mixed carnitas are not super greasy or super dry like other places. The price is great. They reheat very well as well. They tasted fresh the next day. Definitely coming back to try their other dishes. Recommended, make sure to have cash on hand as its cash only. read more

Had the mixed carnita tacos, they were okay. The eating area was very dirty, too many flys inside, the old man grabbed the carnitas with his hands to chop them that's nasty we don't know if what he was grabbing before that or if he washed his hands. There was barely any salsa left on the tiny salsa bar they had. The staff was very nice but Overall I wouldn't go back. read more
