I've lived less than 10 minutes from this restaurant for the last 4 years and I had never been before but I'm so glad I finally did. The service is great, the food is delicious, and I'm low key obsessed with Tortas La Vecindad. The restaurant is big and colorful, and they have a couple tv's but super loud if you choose to eat inside. At this point they might be familiar with my face for how often I buy lunch from them. 100% recommended! read more

Unfortunately I had to get up a total of 3 separate times to ask for items and service . Our waitress did not assist us with this it was another waitress who brought the items to us . If I could leave zero stars I would! Me and my boyfriend went to eat here, took us almost an hour for me to get up and ask if our food was about to come out! Reason I went up to them was because there was a big party that came after us and they gave them their food!!! THE FORGOT ABOUT OURS!!!!! Today my boyfriend and I went out for dinner at la vecindad.The interior visual art work is amazing. I had the gringa and it was really good. My boyfriend had regular pastor tacos and said the meat needed to be a little more crunchy. I would suggest to have two waiters to have a better service. The waiter looked a little overwhelmed. If I could give less than one star I would the meat was just fat in the sopes I ended up throwing away worse experiences ever.

We waited like 40 minutes sitting down waiting for the tortas and then the waitress comes and tells us they lost our ticket in the kitchen. I did not have the opportunity to taste the tortas and I definitely will not be back. Not worth it. You know what they say about first impressions. Sorry but I don't recommend. read more

This is one of the few places that when I ask for crispy tripe taco (tacos de tripa bien dorados) they were crispy! Tacos and salsa were good! I also got a torta de barbacoa, I know... ya girl can eat, the bread was a lil soggy from the meat juices but still very good. Service was great. My server was attentive for most but the other server filled in when my server got busy with a large table. I loved the design and it brought childhood memories. read more

It's just okay. There is so much potential to be great. The bread is delicious. My milanesa was tough and stringy so it came out every time I took a bit. The choriqueso was about 50% grease. Came to try a new taco place and it was a hit. They give you beans instead of chips and salsa which could of been better but overall they were ok. Then came the main dish 4 tacos of arrachera and variety of salsa to try from. The tacos were great and had a great flavor. So far one of the best Tacos that I have tried in Dallas; beginning with a big smile welcoming, delicious beans and 4 different salsas( cacahuate, chile serrano, green and red). The tortillas are fresh hand made and the arrachera is soft and juicy, the pastor and barbacoa tacos are really good. They gave us some frijoles charros for free, which was nice, except they tasted like water. Very flavorless. The tacos I got were steak, which was chewy. The handmade tortillas had the consistency of something like a tortilla and jelly. Very squishy and gross. To top it all off, it was expensive as hell!! 4 tiny, gross tacos and a soda for $12!! I was gonna take some Huitlacoache tacos to go for my mom since she wanted to try them and they told me whether I got the 4 tacos or 1 taco, it would be $9 cuz it was the most expensive item on the menu.
