First off, not a fan of the decor, it's in a strip center and the tables need to be arranged to be more cozy. We have been to some nicer hole-in-the-wall restaurants, that we liked better, and felt more at home. The conference room chairs are uncomfortable, along with the flat decor with loud colors. For the food, all we can say is Meh...and the drinks are weak. There are so many better mexican restaurants to dine with, in this City.

I really tried to like this place since a lot of people go here, but when I walked in, I could kinda tell what demographic the food was catered to. Still, I was craving Tex-Mex. Drinks: 10/10 - strong and worth it. Got buzzed off two. Fajitas: 2/10 - small, overpriced ($20+ for six strips of beef). Chips & Salsa: 6/10 - salsa too salty, chips not salty enough. Chimichanga: 3/10 - tasted like American brisket in a soggy tortilla. Sauce was decent. Overall: Drinks were the highlight. Service 10/10 Inside is small.

I haven't reviewed a place on the spot in a while. This place...what a really nice visit. Miguel took great care of us. He was on TOP of it. No drinks came close to running dry. He offered great menu tips. He even spotted a soiled napkin in someone's lap and showed up with a clean one. He even noticed my ice tea didn't have enough ice and asked if I needed more ice. Super attentive without being intrusive, and super nice - very personable. Food was solid - everyone agreed. My chili relleno was unconventional but Miguel gave me that heads up - and I went with it. Definitely enjoyed it. It was so big and so filling that I took my rice n beans home. Chips were fresh and not greasy. Salsa was great - had some zing for sure. Rice n beans were very good. Ice tea was fresh. Guacamole was solid. Generous portions across th3 board. Clean and simple interior. Would definitely stop here again!

Delicious doesn't even begin to describe the food, but the hospitality and kindness from their staff and manager, Antonio is even better. House made chips, perfect. Queso blanco hot and delicious. Bean dip yummy. House margarita for $5, yes. And it's great and not too sweet or sour. Get the birria tacos. Or the guiso. And the homemade apple pie. Actually I don't think you could go wrong with any menu item. We met a couple who said it's replaced their Mi Cocina Saturday nights and we 100% agree. They're owned by the cousins of the owners of The Fifth and Shady's. Yall go check this place out, you won't be disappointed

If I lived in the area, I think this would be my regular spot for Tex-Mex! The service was kind and attentive, with our waitress being on top of water and chip/salsa refills. They offer both a black bean salsa along with a tomato salsa, which I thought was unique. The chips are on the saltier side, but I thought that they paired well with the black bean salsa which is less salty. I ordered the queso Serrano enchiladas, which were accompanied by rice and beans. This was delicious and very affordable ($13 for dinner) for the amount of food I received. My friend ordered a spicy margarita and was pleasantly surprised by how generous the size was and the strength of the drink. They do not skimp out here! The decor is tasteful, and the seating area is tidy. Overall a successful outing in my books and I would recommend checking out this place!

Decided to try this local spot since Yelp gave it good reviews. As we sat down a delicious hot basket of chips came to the table with a very flavorful salsa and bowl of creamy black beans for dipping. We started with a cup of queso so creamy with just enough heat. It was before 4pm so we ordered the Timmy's off lunch menu. We asked to change the chicken enchilada with a cheese one it also comes with a beef enchilada, crispy beef taco and beans and rice. All for $13.99 and checking in on Yelp we received a free cup queso ! It was enough food for both of us. Great service nice restaurant. A new favorite on our list.

It's the afternoon and we were hungry for a good lunch after church. Glad we decided for Pineda's the hostess was friendly and seated us right away. The vibe is chill and good music playing while we enjoyed our meal. Our server Angel was top notch and the food was excellent from the complimentary chips, salsa, and Ben dip. The queso was hot and savory and our entrees were delicious .

I checked in and picked up our dinner. We ordered Nachos, Fajitas and Flautas. The food is delicious. Service is fast and friendly serving staff. Clean and well lighted restaurant.

Are their beans and rice vegetarian?

Sandy, Our beans are vegetarian. Our rice has chicken stock in it. We have spinach enchiladas and veggie fajitas as vegan options.

Is this restaurant located in the strip center behind Dickies BBQ? I do not see it from the street view maps.

    Yes, it is. Suite 119

This place looks good but out of line on pricing. My gosh. It's almost in Pappacitos realm. Why so high?

We thought the prices were high until we had dinner there. The food is authentic, unique to the area, fresh, made to order and large portions. On top of that, their wait team are amazing. They are attentive but not overbearing. We live 30…

What do you have in the way of vegetarian options? Are your rice and beans prepared with meat stock or lard? Thanks!

Thanks for your question. Yes, we do. Veggie fajitas, spinach enchiladas, cheese enchiladas, and several other options. Our rice and beans are not prepared with either of those, and are cooked fresh daily.

Is 2 dollar taco for dinner as well?

Yes, our street tacos are $1.99 everyday.

Do you all have happy hour specials or taco tuesday specials?

Every day, all day is happy hour. We are waiting for our liquor license, and giving away a free drink for now. Our street tacos are $1.99 on taco tuesdays, and worth every penny.

Do you cook with any dairy? For allergy reasons.

Only on plates that are topped with poblano sauce. All other plates are non-dairy, but please confirm with your server to be sure.

Is it authentic MEXICAN food? You know, like in Mexico? Or is it just another Tex-Mex place?

We are not 100% authentic, but are as close as we can be. Everyone seems to love it just the way we are.

We loved the enchiladas Suiza and the tacos de Camarón. The shrimp tacos were delicious, but be aware they're pretty spicy. Highly recommend both entrees. The service is CRAZY good. And if you're lucky enough to find a spot at the bar, you're in for an even better drink/food journey. Favorites: the carne asade and seafood chile relleno (w/Serrano queso). If your dining mate will split these two dishes with you, you're going to have the perfect meal. All their drinks are good, but among my favorites are the Mezcalita and La Diabla. If you're unsure, you can share your liquor/cocktail preference and the bartenders will serve you something delicious. Also, if you like things spicy, they have a creamy green salsa that is . You just have to ask. I can't wait to try their new location (mostly because I want to see how some of my favorite bartenders are doing over there). Sueño deserves all the success because they truly care about your experience from start to finish. Which reminds me, get the churros if you save room.

Unfortunately, since the ownership change, the experience just hasn't been the same. The customer service is still decent, and I genuinely enjoy their spicy Mexican martini -- that's honestly the main reason I still stop by. However, the food quality has noticeably declined. Over the past year, I've experienced stomach issues after eating here, which had never happened to me before under the previous ownership. I'm not sure if it's a change in ingredients, preparation methods, or sourcing, but something is clearly different. It's disappointing because this used to be a go-to spot. Our waitress gave exemplary service and was attentive and personable. We started our meal with the complementary chips and salsa. Easily THE BEST chips and salsa combo there is. The salsa is smoky and flavorful and the chips are so light and crispy- absolute perfection! We also had a cup of queso which really hit the spot. For an entree I had a cheese enchilada and a chicken tinga enchilada with rice and beans. It was all so delicious. The chicken tinga was juicy and had excellent flavor. The cheese enchilada was great too, a very satisfying chili con carne goes so well with the melty cheese. Of course the rice and beans are never just rice and beans here- they were both delicious too- Pappasitos really has great attention to detail when it comes to developing scrumptious recipes. For dessert we had the tres leches which was excellent. Sweet, but not overly so- and bouncy sponge cake. Very nice way to wrap up the meal. Our waitress gave me a to-go cup to finish the rest of my passion fruit drink. It was a nice way to cap out our perfect meal at Pappasitos. We'll definitely be back again soon. Today was her birthday (one of those that come every 10 years) and she wanted to go to Papasitos. I made reservations, checked the box that we were celebrating a BD. We arrived ahead of our reservation and had a little wait for a table. No problem. The young lady from the check in seated us and ask if we were celebrating anything. I told her that it was my wife's birthday, but she didn't want the full blown hooten hollering sombrero celebration. We waited 8-10 minutes before a server came to our table. He immediately apologized for the wait and said that he was helping out another waiter that was supposed to have our table. He took our drink order and soon returned with our drinks. To my surprise, he proceeded to take our food order. I thought he was temporarily helping out until the other server could catch up and take over. That wasn't the case. Ok, No problem so far. I'm giving 2 stars because the food came out super fast and hot and delicious. Then our server delivers hot flour tortillas.., all 3 of them. After each eating one taco, we were ready for another batch. Now this is where it started to go downhill. Several minutes go by and I could not grab his attention. I literally had to waive my hand in the air to flag him down across the restaurant. He finally looked my direction and soon delivered more tortillas. That was the last we saw of him. No checking on our table, no refills on our drinks, no nothing. After we finished our meal, we waited another 25 minutes to try to get his attention to close out our meal. He would never look our way. He was like a horse with blinders. Honestly, I think he forgot that he was our server OR MAYBE he saw us as 2 people and his gratuity was going to be smaller compared to the larger tables. Finally, I flagged down another server from another table and ask if he could close us out. He asked if we had a paper receipt, which we had not. He closed us out on his iPad. I didn't even get the chance to order my wife a dessert to celebrate the occasion. No bueno! Let's just say the service was abysmal and absolutely unacceptable. My man went MIA. It is questionable whether I will return to this establishment.
