Came here because I saw Blondes Who Eats, Dallas Influencer, come here. She is known for finding really good breakfast burritos and tacos with the green salsa! I am so so so glad that I came here. When we came in, I just knew it was going to be good. I wanted the breakfast burrito, and I got bacon, egg, cheese and beans. It was delicious. It was the perfect size for me. You could tell that the tortilla was homemade, and I liked the green salsa too, it was more on the mild side. Probably should've added a little red for some heat, but all in all solid! My sister went with the birria tacos, and they looked phenomenal! She gave me a bite of one, and I have to say they were pretty freaking good. The meat was super tender, and the consume was well flavored, it was really yummy, and they crispy edges of the tortilla, you just couldn't go wrong. I would come back here for sure and get both items, or some breakfast tacos, which I got one for my dad to go. I would recommend ordering extra bacon for any of the breakfast items.

In the end, Rayo's won out because of location and also because the first time I went to Rayo's it was outstanding. This time I tried the birria tacos. I had them only once before in Cancun and they were ok but the hype did not meet the reality. This time, based on Yelp reviews for the birria tacos at Rayo's, I gave them a try and I was not disappointed. Your get 4 tacos to an order. I think it was $15.99 (I am guessing because I did not get a receipt). Each taco has a generous helping of meat. The meat is very juicy and tender, good quality meat. They add onions and cilantro if you want (I did), and top it with a bit of cheese but not too much. The tacos are very good alone without any dipping sauce. But the dipping sauce is what takes them over the top. The sauce has deep flavor and is a bit spicy. I am not sure what they put in the sauce, but it was delicious and had me sweating. Luckily, they have Mexican Coca-cola so that cooled me down. Service was fast. From ordering to food on the table was maybe 5 minutes. I am a fan. Now I get what birria tacos are about. I will be back to Rayo's.

I absolutely love this place! The vibe and the location are perfect, it's always such a chill welcoming spot. The employees are always so nice and make you feel right at home every time you come in. The tacos are sooo good, and their chicken birria is honestly the best I've ever had. The flavor, the tenderness, the seasoning everything is on point. Chorizo breakfast burrito with no potatoes

I woke up with a very specific craving for a breakfast burrito, but most places I frequent didn't contain the desired ratio of eggs, meat, and other ingredients for my taste today. That's when we went searching for a new options and Rayo's came up. And let me tell you, it did not disappoint. When we got there the place wasn't busy, but there was a constant trickle in of customers. The decor is minimal and it's fairly quiet with one speaker playing music pretty low. The menu had plenty of options and the prices were extremely reasonable. We were greeted immediately and placed our orders pretty quickly: 2 breakfast burritos, 1 bacon breakfast taco, chips and guac, 2 horchatas, and flan. I asked for no potatoes in my burrito. We sat down and they immediately brought us our horchatas, and the guac came out shortly after. The guac tasted super fresh, and the horchata was to die for. We actually bought more horchata after we left lol The rest of the food came out pretty fast and also tasted great. The taco had a very generous portion of egg which made me extremely happy, and the burritos were the perfect portion size. Mine wasn't any smaller than my bf's even though I asked for one less ingredient. All in all we'll be back to try more from their menu. Highly recommend!

I visited Rayo's Taqueria in Dallas, TX on Saturday, 6/29/24, around 1:30 PM for lunch. I decided to order a plate of Carne Asada Enchiladas and a plate of Birria Tacos. The enchiladas tasted great, it just needed more enchilada sauce. The tacos were phenomenally delicious; I loved the flavor. The customer service was decently fine. The restaurant appeared to be super busy, and it took a bit of time to receive assistance. The inside of the restaurant was clean and spacious. There were a lot of tables and chairs available for eating indoors. I recommend checking out Rayo's Taqueria. Good food and affordable prices.

Birria tacos for the win!!! I looked high and low for some authentic birria tacos and consome in Dallas, and I'm happy to report that I've found it!!! This place knows their tacos, and their Michelada's are amazing!!! I downed the drink before I could capture a picture, but the birria speaks for itself. You will not be disappointed!

This is my second on third time going to this place & I always order the same thing- birria tacos. I'm sure their other tacos are good as well but once something is good I tend to stick with that. I have no complaints about the birria, there's a good amount of meat, and the tortillas are the perfect crispness. The consome is not my favorite, I do wish there was meat inside there as well. I can't speak to the service dining in, because one only done pickup orders. The overall vibe is low key, and super laid back. read more

Took a chance on this taqueria on my way to run an errand, and I'm glad I did! I chose the taco plate--three al pastor tacos with rice, beans, grilled onions, and a grilled serrano pepper (no radishes unfortunately). The tacos were loaded, the meat was delicious, and the balance of heat with the salsas was spot on. The meal was light yet filling, and I didn't get that sleepy feeling that usually hits after a big lunch. I'll definitely be stopping by again to indulge! read more

This is my favorite Birria Taco and Ramen spot in all of the United States....that I've traveled to so far and I've been to a lot of places. This is a small mom and pop establishment. We felt very welcomed. The service was quick even with the language barrier. This will be my first stop anytime I go to Dallas! They don't get enough recognition in my opinion, but they def have a loyal customer. Everything was a 10!!!!! Delicious birria tacos. Ordered to go and they made it 20 mins home staying crispy and hot. The consommé had good flavor and I just dipped into it and crunched away. Probably even better there. The birria tacos are seemingly a bit greasy in general but these were not overly so. Also ordered a few gorditas which had tasty corn cakes cradling steak cut into small pieces. Red and green sauces had flavor and everything was seasoned well. Service was friendly - caught them when they were empty right at 5pm on a week night and the food came out quickly. If you're from California and want some actual Mexican food come here everything tasted amazing. No complaints at all no fat in the meat whatsoever. Salsa was not crazy spicy either. read more

I was looking for a good breakfast stop and definitely found it! Staff were friendly, very clean dining area and food came out quickly. I got the bacon burrito and added potatoes and avocado. Burrito size wasn't overwhelming but the flavor was absolutely top notch. Highly recommend!!!! read more

I had a few other food bloggers tell me Jazzy Tacos birria tacos are better but this one is in their top 3 as well! My top 3 so far are the Off The Cuff chicken birria, Vidorra's Birria, and here! THE VIBE: casual dining. Lots of seating. The area is a bit sketchy I'm not gonna lie so don't come here looking nice. Parking lot is uneven PRICE: ~$20 WOULD I COME BACK? Yes! **** Overall Rating: 9.5/10 - This taqueria had a very large menu and I was tempted to get something else but I had to come here after seeing @blondeswhoeat post about their phenomenal Birria tacos! - The crunch on the shell of these tacos were insane they were SO hot and crispy when it came out to me and tbh it was still pretty hot when I was done eating it's honestly a lot of food they give you 4 big meaty and cheesy tacos! - I can't get over how crunchy the shell was sometimes Birria tacos can be soggy but these were SO good. The consume was not too oily at all I hate when consume is oil overload this was perfect and with some extra lime was perfect. - The service here was actually very nice I believe the owner took my order and he was so sweet and helpful! They honestly had a very diverse customer population too. - This area is a bit sketchy but those are where the best tacos are at lol. read more

The food is on point. The Birria tacos are a must. You get 4 good sized tacos with dipping sauce. Full of Meat and cheese. I also had the Tripa taco cooked just right. Crunchy on the outside and soft in the inside. The Birria tacos are the best hands down. read more

Can say without hesitation that this place has the best birria tacos in Dallas. Crispy, cheesy and damn good! I've tried maybe 5-6 other spots and Rayos takes the cake. My gf and I regularly make 25-30 minute trips out here just because it's that good! read more

In total we ordered my salad, a Cactus empanada of sorts, a couple tacos as well as a couple enchiladas. For about 20 dollars, the proportion of my salad was stellar! I got plenty of shrimp as well as a gracious amount of Avacado to go with it, all sitting on a bed of crispy salad, diced cucumbers and grated cheese (not sure which cheese.) The enchiladas were delicious, I got a bite of it and it was very bright, the mushrooms in it went well with the flavor they were trying to go for, and the sauce on top was delicious. The music wasn't too loud but it was noticeable, the lights all around were nice and dim, and there was occasional floral and red candle decorations around the place giving it a flowery, near authentic Tex-Mex restaurant experience. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to get really good Tex-Mex food with a very nice service! P.S: I love that they have the addition of mouthwash in their bathrooms, perfect for adjusting your breath on a date. But do not make the same mistake I did of pumping mouthwash onto your hands thinking it's soap, don't be like me

Forget about smelling smoke and getting all excited about good barbecue. It was nearly enough to make us turn around and get back in the car. Grateful for the inside seating because if the only available option was to sit outside, I would not have sat there and eaten my food with the smell of that garbage coming across the parking lot.
