Brisket Mole Enchiladas Platillo

Tonight was our first time. The environment and service had us sold with entry! Then we had the most amazing meal! We love authentic Mexican flavors. This place is absolutely wonderful!! We recommend the Mole Brisket Enchiladas and the Tampiqueña Enchiladas!! The green jalapeño salsa is to die for! Also try the Jhonny Taxi and Cucumber Margarita!! We will definitely be returning!!

Curb appeal? Not really. Friendly service? Absolutely. Good fajitas, quesadillas and margaritas? Yes. They have kids meal options that our toddler devoured. The refried beans are delicious and the queso blanco is so rich and creamy. Would definitely visit again!

I'm excited I found this place! Great food and good service. They do their own margarita mix and it's good and natural tasting and strong enough! The avocado chicken enchiladas were a bit salty but still really good. The fajitas were great and a great value compared to other larger places. We found our favorite TexMex that won't break the bank and it's just around the corner! Too many margaritas? We can just walk home!

Beetle in the beans

The restaurant is not very clean. That was already a red flag. There were paint cans, wood pallets, and other stuff by the side entry inside. Talk about a hazard. I don't like that they only have black beans. The queso blanco was good, but finding a beetle in the refried beans was not!! Will not be back to this place.

Us on our way! I always forget to take a picture of the food.

Amazing! Delicious! Wonderful! From the second you come in, to the second you leave. Food and customer service is impeccable. Their beverages are so fresh and their alcoholic drinks are mouth watering! Special shout-out to our friend (we forgot his name but we call him "primo") lol and to Ruby for always being so attentive.

Surprisingly a delicious find in Garland! I used yelp (of course) when I was visiting my sister in Dallas. This popped up with some decent reviews, so we gave it a shot. And to my surprise it was a hit! The margaritas were delicious with various flavors. Chips were homemade, and crispy hot and fresh. Hot sauce was incredible. Our server was very attentive, and we ate every bite. I was so happy to find a place that had a humble home-style feel. If that is what you are looking for - go here.

Holy Frijoles Slap my saddle!!! That was the BEST dang poblano relleno I have ever eaten!!! Geez Louise the corn and mushroom sauce and grilled chicken tasted so fresh. The presentation was beautiful and Maria was a fantastic server. The water was good and tasted fine. Highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to try othe entrees! Yeehaw!!!!!!

We found our New Mexican restaurant!! Fresh food, great atmosphere, and live music on Saturdays. Many vegetarian options to choose from too! Try it out!

Wasn't a real Mexican restaurant. Outside appearance and location not the best. Decided to try another restaurant instead.

We were very pleasantly surprised. It's even better in my opinion. The people are very warm and friendly. The food is really delicious. I love that they bring not only good salsa with their fresh hot chips, but also a tomatillo sauce and a black bean dip. We've now eaten there several times. The taco meat has a nicely charred flavor. The tamales were very good. (I'm picky about my tamales. I've tried their ranchero sauce, chili con carne, and sour cream sauce. None of them disappoint. Their rice isn't dry like it is at many other Tex-Mex places. And their $5.00 all day frozen margaritas are worth it. We usually go for the lunch specials that run until 4:00. They don't have mole on the menu, yet. I'm looking forward to their future specials. In this day and age where it's hard to keep a restaurant open, I really hope this one survives. It's not fancy, but the food and service make it worth it. And I'm a picky person when it comes to spending money on food I don't make myself.

We have been to some nicer hole-in-the-wall restaurants, that we liked better, and felt more at home. The conference room chairs are uncomfortable, along with the flat decor with loud colors. Unfortunately, since the ownership change, the experience just hasn't been the same. The customer service is still decent, and I genuinely enjoy their spicy Mexican martini -- that's honestly the main reason I still stop by. However, the food quality has noticeably declined. Over the past year, I've experienced stomach issues after eating here, which had never happened to me before under the previous ownership. I'm not sure if it's a change in ingredients, preparation methods, or sourcing, but something is clearly different. It's disappointing because this used to be a go-to spot. I truly hope the new management takes a closer look at the food quality and consistency. There's a strong history here, and it would be great to see it restored.

I.got the crab enchiladas with beans and rice and they were delicious!! Creamy, crab tasted fresh, just the right amount of heat. We've gone three times and each time we've gotten the same items. Quality and taste never changed- on one occasion we went pretty close to their closing time and STILL...great quality and service. Definitely a recommend!

The tables are normal height, meaning for somebody in a power wheelchair like myself, it was a tight fit. They didn't speak english but that's fine and I managed. I got a full meal for 10$. 3 tacos (pick any 3 from their quite big menu options), along with a side of rice and beans, and some onions and lime to add to the tacos. I got a potato and scrambled egg taco, a ham and scrambled egg taco, and a chorizo and scrambled egg taco. The potato and the ham ones were good, although the chorizo wasn't my favorite. It was pretty early so I obviously went breakfast with my choices, but they had a variety of options ranging from barbacoa to chicken. Their creamy hot sauce was really good, although the red sauce was too thin for my taste. I'll be back again to try some of the non-breakfast tacos. Upon my arrival to this very unassuming little joint, located in the parking lot of an El Rancho Super Mercado, I began to wonder if I was even at the right spot. The building look's like somebody just plopped a box down, has few windows, and has plain white entry/exit doors 180 degrees opposite each other. Entering, I was hoping I was in the right place and using the right door. I was and I did. For my tacos, I ordered one each: Chorizo, Chicken, and Beef. To drink, I ordered a Jarritos Lime soft drink. The tacos were served traditional street style - two small corn tortillas for each - stuffed with meat, onions and cilantro, with a couple of lime wedges on the side. The lime wedges were super juicy and the tacos were hot and delicious!! The red and green sauces were not as full-bodied as I prefer (I like the sauces to have a solid color, smooth almost creamy look, with no seeds visible.) and neither was as hot (spicy) as I would have liked. Both sauces had about the same heat level - a solid "Three." Nevertheless, I wholly enjoyed my tacos and would definitely visit Los Compadres again! The person who took my order was friendly. The prices were reasonable and my appetite for tacos was satisfied! If you're in the area and looking for some good tacos, definitely give this little shack a try! You won't regret doing so. Also, you'll probably wish you'd ordered more tacos than you did, so go ahead and order two extra! You'll eat them!! As far as amenities, there is a handwashing station inside the "dining area," but I left not knowing whether there was an actual restroom on the premises or not. So, on that note... "go" before you go! Eat well. Be well. Cheers!
