We were craving some Agua Fresca, and since this was the closest place to us we decided to try them out. Once there, we decided to also order a couple tortas. This was a mistake- we encountered snobby ladies at the counter who rolled their eyes at us for asking to slightly customize our tortas (no grilled onion & add jalapeño). The agua fresca was anything but "Fresca"; it was flavorless, the licuado was watered down and warm from letting it sit blending forever while they stood around on their phones. The tortas were horrible- stale bread, dry and flavorless cold chewy asada. Guácala! And the prices were crazy expensive! $45 for a couple small sandwiches and 2 drinks; and they still ask for a tip for doing absolutely nothing! I rarely leave bad reviews, but this place absolutely deserves it. The tortas were terrible--dry bread, barely any meat, and what little filling there was tasted stale and flavorless. I've had better sandwiches from gas stations. To make things worse, the service was just as bad. The staff seemed annoyed we even walked in, took forever to take our order, and never checked on us once. It felt like they were doing us a favor by letting us eat there. First time visiting the 51st and Baseline location due to the great reviews this place had. Unfortunately as soon as I approached the counter I was met with an attitude by a younger female. She def didn't want to be at work on a Saturday afternoon. I proceeded to order 3 tortas and two drinks. Made one modification to my torta - no onions. The order was bagged up and noticed she forgot a bag of chips. Tried to get her attention and she straight ignored me so had to call her mother (I assume) over to ask and she gave me the chips they forgot to pack. Upon getting home noticed my torta wasn't correct as they didn't include anything else like the mayo, lettuce and tomato (was only the torta bread, carne asada, and avocado). Taste was good - too bad they didn't get the order correct. Customer service horrible / lack commitment to the job. Never will I spend $$ at this establishment again. I always support independent businesses - sucks when it starts and ends bad. read more

Another great spot we frequent for lunch. Our whole office was waiting for this spot to open and were here the first day it opened. Loves their fresh aguas frescas, the fruit ones are made fresh on the spot when you order them. One thing I don't like is that their aguas frescas are water based, only way to get them milk based is to get them in a licuado. To be fair though, their water based aguas are still so good and fresh. My favorite of all time is agua de melon. So good. Another thing is that their food menu is so limited. Yes, they specialize in tortas but their torta selection is very limited. Seems like they only offer pork and chicken and no beef. For me the best torras are meat based ( milanesa) and they just don't offer them here. Seems like their best seller is the cubana and Hawaiiana but I just don't like ham. Overall best place for aguas frescas but ok for Tortas. We are still here about once a week so they must be doing something right. read more
