Without a doubt, this is the best taco truck in the state. Worth every penny. The tortillas are thick and fresh, they aren't stingy on the meat, and everything tastes amazing. I usually get the barbacoa tacos and horchata. The meats are cooked to perfection and I have to fight the temptation of taking more tacos home with me to go because they are so good. Pro tip, bring cash. They charge a small fee if you pay with card. When you come to the lot you will see two trucks named La Frontera. Go to the one closer to the jack in the box next door. La Frontera #1 is just like their sister La Frontera #2 (off 16th St & Van Buren). Solid, simple menu. Not crazy expensive. Cash only! I think the only difference between #1 and #2 is #2 has a food truck for mariscos and tierra; #1 only has tierra. My go to has always been a cabeza burrito and horchata. I never get any salsa because the burrito itself is pure amazingness- lots of flavor, lots of meat and toppings. The horchata is a massive jug. Not the best for someone with "the beetus" but it's a solid drink. This La Frontera has a more difficult parking situation - maybe 10 spots total right off 35th Ave (not Lincoln). If none of those are available you could probably street park along Lincoln. It's definitely a busy lunchtime spot during the week- so timing your arrival is key for parking. Finally I have found a taco stand to replace my old favorite. The tortillas are hand made so you won't get that sour tortilla taste that you get at some places. Everything is finely chopped which to me is a deal breaker. I brought my Mom and sister here for a late lunch and we ordered 3 tacos, a quesadilla, gotta, & three drinks and only paid $18! For me that was a steal especially for the portions. The quesadillas are pretty big and the tacos are just the right size. I will tell you this its in a sketchy area but you can always order them to go if you don't want to stay and eat there. I will definitely be coming back soon. read more

i have been coming to this food truck for 6 years now and they have never disappointed. first and foremost, their tortillas are handmade which says a lot about the establishment. their tripa is always cooked thoroughly with a little crunch, bc if you're like me the chewiness freaks me out. their carne asada tacos and burritos are to the best in town. their ceviche is so flavorful and always fresh. i have yet to find another taco stand that is just as authentic as la frontera. i have taken several family members and friends who have raved about it to their friends. we occasionally visit their sister stand in downtown phoenix, but this will aways be our favorite. read more
