I had no idea this was here. It's a parking area with several food trucks on-site. I was searching for some really good, tasty tacos, and this came up. I must add that, in such a busy place, parking was easy. I walked around looking at the different vendors and decided on Toteria Tacubaya. I ordered two chicken, two pastors, and one carnitas. The girl was very sweet, taking my order, asking what I would like, and suggesting other things to try besides the tacos. I most definitely like her area the most because it has this huge shaded cover to block the Texas sun. So, I relaxed there, watched TV, and enjoyed my tacos. I can say I only liked the chicken tacos--the other three not so much. The flavor was there, but I think I was searching for another flavor, if that makes sense. Now, the area and shaded part I thoroughly enjoyed. I relaxed there longer than I should have because the TV was on and a breeze was blowing through on a very hot, windy day. With that being said, I will keep going and try the other food trucks. I'm sure there had to be at least 20 trucks with many options of Mexican and Asian dishes. It is always a comfort coming to this truck after a fun night out. Reliable tasty food. The ladies can speak in simple English but you may want to point things out for them. Cozy little shack feel. I got 4 chorizo tacos and 4 pastor tacos. It was around $44 for all 8 tacos. Their tacos are slight bigger than the Mexican street tacos. The pastor was good. My complaint is that the chorizo meat was a tad hard and it tasted frozen. Normally it is fine, but it isn't enjoyable. read more

This is one of the taco spots nearby that serve lengua tacos. I don't know if I'd say they are the best but they're generally consistent with their tacos and accept cards. I do like that they give grilled onions and peppers with their tacos. It adds a nice kick and crunch to them. They don't really speak English but that's on me, not them. I can generally still get by with ordering and usually no issues. I'm always on the hunt for some tasty tongue tacos since a lot of places will have it on the menu and not have any. I'm glad this place isn't one of them. Also when they have their choco flan? *chef's kiss* Do yourself a favor and grab some tacos from here and the other food trucks in the plot. read more

This is one of the original food trucks located in Dessau and Howard Ln. I personally think that they overprice their food for what you get. I have ordered them on site and tried them on the delivery apps. Not happy with what I get. Today there's better choices on location. Food is like music and comedy, it can be subjective? This particular food truck has been here for quite some time. It is located at the intersection of Howard and Dessau Rd and it is set back from the roadway. It does have several tables in a roofed enclosure. The menus are primarily in Spanish which is an indication of their primary customer base. However there is some English translation in parentheses. Their menus are quite extensive and have quite a number of offerings. I got the beef burrito and I was impressed with both the size and weight along with the freshly cut vegetables and tasty shredded beef. I opted for the spicy red sauce, but they do offer Verde sauce. The young polite lady who took my order had my order ready in less than five minutes. I was glad I made this my lunch stop of the day. read more

Terrible experience today. I got my order wrong and the lady was extremely stubborn to not correct my order or take responsibility. She kept saying "te repetí mi order" or "I repeated the order to you". I ordered a sope and she gave me a gordita. I asked her for a plastic fork so I can eat the meat only but she said that she didn't have a fork for me. The gordita contains ingredients especially of the melted cheese that I am allergic to. I tried eating it because I was hungry and ended up throwing up back when I got home. I've been coming here for two years and never experienced what happened tonight. My wife and I were very disappointed and ashamed of the customer service. Definitely not going back any time soon. If many of you know me, I am a pretty active food reviewer of many restaurants in Austin. It sad that I had to write this one for this place. They need to do better for their customer service and truly listen as people have legitimate health reasons of why they can't eat certain plates. Que experiencia tan mala tuve hoy. Let me start off by saying that I am a Houstonian with taste buds that are hard to please. I am also Indian so I have high standards of what flavor should be. THIS. IS. IT! My husband and I basically went on a drive to test out a bunch of different taco trucks. After many failed attempts WE FINALLY FOUND IT. I ordered the pollo tacos on corn tortilla and my husband got bistek and pastor on flour. He mentioned that he didn't like the flour tortillas as much bc they were too thick and he ONLY orders his tacos with flour. He loved the corn tortillas when he tried my taco. Their corn tortilla isn't a basic corn tortilla, it just hits different. And the meat, that shit was bomb! I've noticed many of Austin's tacos lack salt and spices, it's usually just pepper. Their chicken was a reddish hue with SALT (another thing that is usually lacking), pepper, cayenne, a hint of garlic, maybe some paprika and I don't know what else but it was good. Wish I took pictures but I pretty much devoured my food lol. Salsa could have been spicier (again I'm Indian) but overall the way it paired with the tacos was spectacular! read more

Extremely disappointed in my visit this weekend.. I told the lady taking orders I didn't need extra salsa because she wanted to charge me a dollar for a dime size amount. As they had complementary salsa on the table that even the family before me has used. When I reached for the salsa she asked a random gentlemen to remove it off the table. How nasty and rude. It's not about the condiment but more so the principle if you have complimentary salsa and you are aware I am a paying customer why not treat me the same as everyone else? Please look into your staff as I can see for her hospitally and equality was not a hiring factor. read more

The shredded beef tacos are absolutely delicious; however, I probably will not be going back. The little woman who was running the food truck was very nice, and she prepared the food quickly. My son had been there a couple of days before and he was charged a different price than I was. Also, the ground around the truck is filthy, littered with bottle caps, cigarette butts, and other small trash. It was not worth $35 for five tacos. On the up side, this little woman can cook. Very consistently the best source for a pleasant variety of tasty authentic Mexican food at prices working men can afford. The tortas are a delightful overload of flavor and you'd better not intend to do much after finishing one other than rest a bit and let it settle.
