The combinations of pizza toppings on the seasonal pizzas are unparalleled. The summer menu's Meatball Verde is a wonder- I wait with great anticipation for its return each May. Their weekly specials bring endless opportunities for a "regular order type" like me to branch out and try new things, and feel glad I did. I still recall an Indian curry vibe pizza from last year being the most incredible/ unexpected pizza ever. More than anything, people at Biga are without exception all fantastic humans, and the service is excellent both in the restaurant and for deliveries/takeout. Never once has anyone forgotten one of the 6 sauces/dressings I regularly order with my food. Biga has something for everyone. Go Biga or go home!!

It is an eclectic simple haunt with a diverse clientele. They are in downtown Missoula on a main drag. The restaurant's focal point is a large pizza oven that is cranking out custom pies. They have standard suggestions but encourage you to create your order. The salads are flush with local, in seasonal produce with unique combinations. We ordered a large half pepperoni and half pepperoni with goat cheese along with a great salad. The salad had organic blueberries, apples, pumpkin seed granola, goat cheese, and mixed greens. The dressing was a white wine balsalmic vinegarette. The pizza was good, crust was a bit dry. The flavor was tasty but a bit oily. The salad combination hit the spot, was intriguing with flavors and crunch. The salads here are exceptional and the pizza was ok. Some of the oil may be a result of the pepperoni and goat cheese combination. This is a good pizza shop but not one I must try again.

You'll find live music, food trucks, coffee stands, pastries, meat, salmon, fresh veggies and fruit, beautiful flowers, and even fresh milk. It's the kind of place where you can come hungry and easily spend a couple of hours wandering around. It can be a little overwhelming because a lot of the vendors carry similar items, but I usually rotate through to help support as many as I can. Vendors typically prefer cash, although some do take cards, so it's smart to bring a little of both. Also bring a bag or two because it's very easy to walk away with more than you planned. The vibe is super friendly and local in the best way, and it always feels like a snapshot of what makes Missoula so special. If you're in town on a Saturday, it's definitely worth checking out.

There are various vendors here and you can find so much! They sell fresh, locally grown fruit, vegetables, and flowers. You can also find items such as honey, fresh baked pastries and bread, beauty products, clothing, and much more. Food trucks are also scattered throughout so there are plenty of options. I find that most of the prices are very reasonable, even though I never mind paying more to help support a fellow Montanan. I almost always run into someone I know, and even though the market itself is rather big, it still has a small town feel to it. Make sure to bring a bag or two with you for all the goodies you buy. Parking is free on the weekends so you don't need to rush through.

AMBIANCE // the Ambiance here is quaint, romantic and noisy. There are two seating sections one is elevated, no matter where you sit it can tend to get a little bit noisy but nothing outrageous. FOOD // I've been here numerous times over the years. The food was always consistently good. However this last time the food arrived at our table barely warm. I believe I know what happened. My one colleague ordered pasta with shrimp and a white wine sauce. That came out scalding hot. My manicotti and my other colleagues ravioli came out barely warm. They weren't staged properly. They were waiting to bring them out with the pasta, and they didn't set them under the heat lamp therefore they got cold. The complimentary bread has always been outstanding and still continues to be. The drinks are average, not strong but not weak. SERVICE // this is where this experience becomes interesting and unique. From the beginning the service was subpar at best. It was almost as if we were being ignored or overlooked intentionally. There were no refills on drinks. There was no inquiry how the entrees were. There was little to no follow-up. Very unique dining experience in and of itself. I have never experienced this and I have lived in major cities throughout the world. When it came time to conclude the experience. Ariana did ask if we wanted dessert. Myself and my colleague ordered a tiramisu. My colleague ordered one to go for her husband. She was charged for it, but it didn't come out until she inquired about it and then a young man, the same one who refilled my drink upon my asking is the same one who delivered her to go item. I requested a manager. I was told very directly that there was not any manager on that night that I would have to speak with her. I inquired who the proprietor or the owner was and she told me the name "Matt" stating that, "You will never hear from him and he won't call you back" she asked what the problem was and upon my explaining to her she became very argumentative cutting me off and interrupting me and speaking over me. She became extremely argumentative and unprofessional. She called me a liar. Telling me and my friends that we came in in a bad mood. Astoundingly we all looked at each other, as this was not possible. We were there for a celebration. Ariana continued to argue with us that she did come to the table and ask how things were, none of us recollect that whatsoever. At the conclusion of the evening, her unprofessionalism, unattentiveness and overall poor decorum has resulted in this review, a letter to someone named "Gabby" and a very unpleasant taste in our mouth for this small business. Which is extremely unfortunate because I really did love this place and I really did want to continue to frequent it.

Our server, Stella was fabulous when taking our orders. Friendly and knowledgeable. The lamb was tender and delicious. The savory bread pudding goes very well with it. Chicken Cordon Bleu was tasty with tender chicken. It could have used more sauce. The couscous side was yummy. We appreciated the compostable to-go containers. While the chocolate soufflé was delicious, the Nanaimo thunder cake was a big disappointment. The crust and middle layers were dry and frozen solid. They were inedible. We had to separate the frozen parts from the cream layers to eat part of the cake. Stella was dropping off the check and asked about the desserts. we let her know that the soufflé was delicious, but showed her that we were not able to eat the layers of the cake because they were frozen solid. Her response was that she would let the kitchen know so that it didn't happen again. We didn't say anything, but seriously? We spent $14 on a dessert and can eat less than half of it? In addition, the pour of the dessert wines was pretty short for the price. Finally, we mentioned that our dinner was to celebrate birthdays, and there was no acknowledgment at all of this during our meal. So it seems there are some areas that still need attention.
