For the first time in four years I stopped in, and boy, I am so glad. The empanada I got, black bean and cheese, was as good as I remembered. Hot and crispy with great beans. The cheese arepa was huge--enough for two, and just as delicious. Plantains were on point and sweet. I will confess that my eyes rolled back in my head, they were so good. Service was with a smile. That says everything.

Tostone's café is such a great find! We came in for a late lunch, service was great and the food was delicious. I highly recommend!

Wow! What a hidden gem, I'm so glad Yelp pointed out this spot featuring Peruvian dishes. I have always wanted to try an Arepa and by golly it was outstanding. (I tried the Arepa de Mi Tierra with steak, I highly recommend.) I also ordered some Gorditas and they were unlike anything I have tried before, so crispy and fresh. I can't wait to go back, next time we'll eat in the restaurant vs takeout as is such a sweet spot. Check it out, you won't regret it!

This is another area restaurant I've been wanting to go to for many years but never went. Wowwww I'm impressed this place exists and in cape no less! Tostones is a CUTE place in Cape Elizabeth on the way to kettle cove and two light. It's got tropical vibes inside and a very extensive menu, lots of fruity drinks, and ample seating. I ordered a guanabana smoothie and a cone .. the drink was fruity and delish and the cone came out on a freaking car. Soooo cute!!! And you'd think they put more thought into the presentation than the food but the food was amazing. I don't eat tostones a lot but this place converted me for sure. Go here!!

First time here and we will be back! This is casual dining and nothing fancy but it's fast, delicious and you get a lot of food for your money. We had 2 sandwiches- the Colombiano and the Chicken and Bacon on fresh baguettes that are grilled to perfection. The aioli on the side is the perfect addition to the sandwiches.

Recommended to go here and it didn't disappoint! Ordered: Tostones crowned: ate like a tostada made of plantain, meat was a little dry and will be asking for extra green sauce next time, queso was out favorite with it's gooey crispy bite Arepa tropical: plantains, pulled pork, pickled onions were delicious in the dry textured arepa, ha gao sauce is just okay but help to moisten up the sandwich Beef burrito: not pictured with habanero and smothered melty cheese was filled with meat and perfectly spiced An affordable friendly delicious place. Will be back when in the cape elizabeth area. Hot tip: pay in cash for a small discount on the overall meal

Ambiance/atmosphere: really nice and quite inside. The place wasn't too big, but not small enough you couldn't find a secluded spot if you wanted to. Nice music, vibrant color, and a really nice smoothie bar. Food: I ordered the steak and papas and it was delicious. Very well seasoned filet with crispy and fluffy soft potatoes with rice and really good pickles pink onions. I added quac and cheese onto it after mixing things together and when I ordered an extra side of steak they really hooked me up. So delicious. My dad ordered the patacon which has a very large and perfectly friend piece of savory plantain and topped with chicken and added steak with quac, lettuce, tomato, and a side of rice and black beans. For starters we ordered the yuca which was perfectly fried and crispy with a really good garlic aioli and cheese blanket over top. We also ordered the sweet madudo(sweet plantain) which came with cheese and was perfectly sweet and tender. So delicious. The side of tostones(savory plantain) was again perfectly friend and salted and with that garlic aioli dip and quac with pico de gallo it was fantastic. The empanadas came with all types of flavors. The beef was my favorite and had an amazing juicy, salty, and tangy flavor with the crispy casing. I'll say to skip the chicken, it was bland and had no flavor. My mom ordered the dessert empanada with cheese and a fruit inside and she said it was delicious and I'll say I can second that. The smoothies were delicious and had plenty of options to choose from. My mom ordered a Columbian milk coffee and said it was one of the greater ones she's tried, possible the best.

This weekend I took my best friend and it was perfect, even in the middle of winter. The deck is still open with plenty of space heaters and even heated seat cushions. We actually got so warm we had to peel off layers, which feels like a small miracle in Maine. The two of us love a marg & taco outing, and make a point to scope out the best of the best. We started with chips and salsa and some queso, which were the perfect kickoff. Then we ordered the street corn succotash, my absolute favorite. It's packed with flavor and topped with the most delicious, salty cotija cheese that pulls everything together. I crave that dish. We split the smoked brisket tacos and the smoked pork carnitas tacos, and both were outstanding. The meat was smoky and tender, the flavors were bold without being overdone, and every bite delivered. And the margaritas? Excellent and refreshing. Exactly what you want alongside that food. On top of all that, the staff is consistently wonderful. Every single time we've gone, our waitstaff has been charming, attentive, and genuinely helpful with recommendations. They strike that perfect balance of checking in without hovering, and they make you feel welcome from start to finish. Terlingua never disappoints. Great atmosphere, incredible food, thoughtful touches that keep you cozy even in winter, and a team that clearly cares about the experience.

That being Chip, Guacamole, and Salsa. I will say I was a bag fan of the Guacamole. I was very was seasoned and very fresh. So for the mains them Family Style comes with Smoked Prime Brisket, Pork Shoulder (Pulled Pork), and the Rotating Daily BBQ which for us I believe were Burnt Ends which are one of my favorites. For the side we had Mac & Cheese Cornbread w/ Honey Butter, House BBQ Sauce & Spicy Vinegar with Pickles and Salad. To start with the sides that Mac & Cheese was really good but the winner was for the the Cornbread with the Honey Buter. The 2 just paired together so well. For the mains my favorites were the Smoked Prime Brisket and the Burnt Ends. The Brisket was good., probably not in my top 3 all time but for sure a must try. The Burnt Ends were also very good. You can't always get Burnt Ends but when you can it's for sure a must. We really enjoyed Terlingua and can't thank the staff enough for working with us for this event. For sure a must stop in Portland when you have a big party. Just plan ahead because they are so helpful to work with.
