Lovely lunch spot! So fresh and tasty, everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. Service was super friendly. Can't wait to try more of the menu!

My mom and I went here on a snow day in December. Most places were closed, but Tostones remained open, and we had both been wanting to try it out. We ate inside, and we were the only people in there. The space is beautiful. It's so welcoming and warm. The staff are all extremely friendly, and they play great music. It's a vibe all around. We ordered a TON of food for two people, and there's nothing I wouldn't recommend. OOB is lucky to have this new option.

Tostones cafe is relatively new here in old Orchard Beach. This particular establishment is located in the Landry's grocery store plaza.. There is plenty of parking in the inside is very clean. They offer bothboth breakfast and lunch. As of right now their hours are 6 AM to 3 PM Monday through Sunday. The service is great. They have a very friendly weight staff. They have a great selection in their menu and if you get their breakfast, I highly suggest their French toast. It is perfect! As an old Orchard Beach local it's nice to have a restaurant like this open all season long. If you stop by.. Tell them Stew sent ya!

We came here for breakfast specifically and my favorite item ended up not being a standard breakfast food. LOL We were greeted when we walked in and were told we could choose our seats. There were a lot of options on a Sunday at 9am suprisingly in July. They give you menus and then you order at the counter and they give you a table flag number for the server to know where to deliver your food. I ordered a La Croix sparkling beverage, the All American breakfast and a side of chicharrones (crunchy pork belly bites). My friend ordered French Toast and churros. I loved my food a lot. Everything was perfectly cooked. The toast was fine...nothin special. The star of the show for me...Chicharrones!!! Wow, they were spectacular and it was a great serving so I could bring some home to my husband. They are very very rich, so a little goes a long way. i was hoping to have a side of rice with it, unfortunately they do not sell the rice separately. Only comes in the burritto. Bummer The French toast was interesting. It was not "sweet" and the little dish of "cream" or topping wasn't overly sweet either. The churros - FANTASTIC! definitely loved those. The prices are super reasonable. Staff checked in on us a few times. Super nice. I will definitely return, even if it's just for the chicharrones. Plenty of parking nearby

Ambiance/atmosphere: really nice and quite inside. The place wasn't too big, but not small enough you couldn't find a secluded spot if you wanted to. Nice music, vibrant color, and a really nice smoothie bar. Food: I ordered the steak and papas and it was delicious. Very well seasoned filet with crispy and fluffy soft potatoes with rice and really good pickles pink onions. I added quac and cheese onto it after mixing things together and when I ordered an extra side of steak they really hooked me up. So delicious. My dad ordered the patacon which has a very large and perfectly friend piece of savory plantain and topped with chicken and added steak with quac, lettuce, tomato, and a side of rice and black beans. For starters we ordered the yuca which was perfectly fried and crispy with a really good garlic aioli and cheese blanket over top. We also ordered the sweet madudo(sweet plantain) which came with cheese and was perfectly sweet and tender. So delicious. The side of tostones(savory plantain) was again perfectly friend and salted and with that garlic aioli dip and quac with pico de gallo it was fantastic. The empanadas came with all types of flavors. The beef was my favorite and had an amazing juicy, salty, and tangy flavor with the crispy casing. I'll say to skip the chicken, it was bland and had no flavor. My mom ordered the dessert empanada with cheese and a fruit inside and she said it was delicious and I'll say I can second that. The smoothies were delicious and had plenty of options to choose from. My mom ordered a Columbian milk coffee and said it was one of the greater ones she's tried, possible the best.

That being Chip, Guacamole, and Salsa. I will say I was a bag fan of the Guacamole. I was very was seasoned and very fresh. So for the mains them Family Style comes with Smoked Prime Brisket, Pork Shoulder (Pulled Pork), and the Rotating Daily BBQ which for us I believe were Burnt Ends which are one of my favorites. For the side we had Mac & Cheese Cornbread w/ Honey Butter, House BBQ Sauce & Spicy Vinegar with Pickles and Salad. To start with the sides that Mac & Cheese was really good but the winner was for the the Cornbread with the Honey Buter. The 2 just paired together so well. For the mains my favorites were the Smoked Prime Brisket and the Burnt Ends. The Brisket was good., probably not in my top 3 all time but for sure a must try. The Burnt Ends were also very good. You can't always get Burnt Ends but when you can it's for sure a must. We really enjoyed Terlingua and can't thank the staff enough for working with us for this event. For sure a must stop in Portland when you have a big party. Just plan ahead because they are so helpful to work with.

We ordered just appetizers. The street corn could have used some chips. I told the server it was delicious but I think they can afford to add a small handful of chips for dipping. The seasoning of the dishes was great. I have no doubt the flavors of other items would be nice, I think we might be used to $18 entrees coming with something else, We saw the tacos and realized that the price only included the taco. Aside from that I see why this place was super busy.
