The food continues to impress every time. We started with the Banana Republic cocktail -- a creative mix of rye, sweet vermouth, plantain oleo, allspice, Banane du Bresil, and walnut bitters -- before sharing the Fruit Guacamole with mixed chips, Yucca Fritas, Mixto Ceviche with sea bass, and the outstanding Scallop Aguachile. Wanted to love it, especially with all the rave reviews, but my experience wasn't great. The restaurant itself is so cute! I love the decor and how spacious it is. We had reservations at 6:30 on a Saturday. We walked in and stood by the hostess desk/entrance. We probably were there for a solid 10 minutes before someone came to the front. There were probably 4 tables with guests. Not a single waiter or even bartender acknowledged us to even say they'll be with us in a minute. We get seated and order drinks. Our group waited about 30 minutes just for our drinks. We were told the bartender was chilling the glasses. Not sure if they ran out of glasses or if they forgot our order. We were able to order our food at that point. We decided on Yucas Fritas and Tostada de Camarones. The Camarones were fresh but the flavor profile wasn't anything out of this world. The Yucas Fritas were interesting as they gave a whipped cheese. We never had yucca fries that way. For mains, the table got Arroz Frito for two and the Picada. The rice was HUGE. I will say the portion could probably feed 4, easily. The only issue was the rice was so dry and salty. We had a few bites and couldn't eat it. The Picada was overall pretty good except the carne asada was overcooked. Not sure if I'd come back for the food but would definitely come for drinks. read more

The good- the decor is beautiful! They did an amazing job with the interior design. The drinks are delicious. Order the fruit guacamole! The bad- my daughter has a shellfish allergy, and when our $65 chicken and beef fried rice dish arrived, I took a bite. Thankfully, my daughter didn't because they had given us shrimp. It could've been fatal. We were lucky. The original waitress never came back, but we flagged another one and she took the dish back to the cook, who fired a new one. This one was inedible -so salty we couldn't eat it. It had tiny pieces of meat, very little vegetable and a lot of egg for $65. It consisted mostly of rice, and soy sauce. No one ever apologized for giving us a shellfish meal that could've been disastrous, We won't return. read more

As a vegan, I had to accommodate. But, that salsa is amazing, and worth it. A tofu dish that was sheer perfection. As I said, I did accommodate. My friends had the oysters and some sort of steak. This was a tough night for Pacifico... and for our table. They were understaffed, perhaps? It happens, I know. It took 45 minutes for our drinks to arrive and more than an hour and half for the food, half of which arrived cold. Timing aside, my husband and I have eaten at many upscale restaurants in the States and abroad, yet our shared dish at Pacifico that came with a $65 price tag looked like a Chinese restaurant's rice dish that would have cost $23 there. Great service, really good cocktails, beautiful space, tables not too close together so you never feel crowded and the noise level is just buzzy enough to feel comfortable but not too loud that it drowns out conversation. People *love* Pacifico! Just not me. And that's okay; I recognize I'm the odd one out here as most of the reviews before (and probably after) mine are five-stars. So come here! You'll probably love it! What I'm a fan of: + The atmosphere! It's got such an immersive, trendy, tropical vibe. + The cocktail program! The drinks are delicious - you won't go wrong with any option. + The fruit guacamole and chips! This is an absolute must every time; the avocado is refreshing, and the fruits they top it with offer such bright tasting notes (the plating has changed a bit from when they first opened; it seems like a more generous portion! but there's far less fruit mixed in/sprinkled on top then before). Expect a few plantain, some sweet potato, but mostly blue corn tortilla chips for dipping. What I'm very much not a fan of: - The service. In such a vibrant place, (in my experience) how is the service *so* listless and *so* aloof? - The food for the price. I appreciate that their menu features - and clearly labels - vegan and vegetarian options, but spending nearly $30 for a small skillet of flavorless, greasy rice topped with a fistful of scallions? I see another reviewer has also mentioned this exact dish, so I know it's not just me. Also, the "Atun" Vegano is a single fried rice paper topped with five or six strips of marinated watermelon for (currently) $16. It's tasty, but not for what's essentially two bites. Well this past Saturday we went on a date night. Had reservations and got right at at 515pm.noticed they redone the entrance and bar area makes it look more appealing!! Menu changed for the special cocktail and the rum pina , both drinks were amazing!! Taylor was our server very good, knew menu and drinks!! Had Fruit guacamole and provoleta for apps so so great!! This restaurant has excellent food but is pricey for the portion sizes. There were language barriers as our server could not seem to understand that we wanted ice for the water (that may have been sitting there since the beginning of the dinner shift). Another server ignored our request for the check, I'm guessing because it wasn't her job. Perhaps the worst thing was handicap accessibility. What a super cute and delicious restaurant right in the Mills! It's completely different than any other restaurant than I've been to in the Biddeford/Saco area -- but is a great addition! This is like something I'd have in a big city and should do well here. The drinks we're all delicious and you can tell the bartender took her time and took pride in making each one. I had the Latin Mojito and it was delicious. My daughter had a coconut margarita and it was amazing! We had almost every appetizer and they were really good! The guac was perfect, the shrimp ceviche was just ok and the tostones were good. The fried fish deserves 10 stars itself. I am not a big seafood person, at all, but this fish, holy crap!!! Do not skip it!!! The mussels were ok according to my dad, he said they were definitely not PEI because they were huge and he doesn't like big muscles. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the pork belly was just ok, a bit over cooked. We arrived 10 minutes before open. Were the only table for 30 minutes. Ordered 1 starter, 1 small plate and 1 entre and asked for them to come out together. The small plate came out first, the starter 10 minutes later and the entree never arrived after 1 hour. When we told the waitress, she said "oh yes, it's coming" although we could see others who came in after us had been served their entre 30 minutes earlier. No apology, no discount, just the bill, which we still tipped on since we'd each had 2 drinks. You really need to do better and own your mistakes Pacifico... read more

BEAUTIFUL meal!! Every single dish was executed well in terms of flavor, freshness and presentation. Our favorites were the halibut ceviche, scallop ceviche, fruit guacamole and the lava cake! The ceviches were extremely fresh and the scallops melted in our mouth! The fruit guac was perfect with the pineapple sweetness. The chocolate lava cake was the best I have ever tried because it wasn't too sweet and I loved the dulce de leche drizzle. I think their brunch is just okay but have higher hopes for their dinner. We had a reservation at 11:45am and the interior design was what really caught our attention - high ceilings and very spacious. While scrolling through their Instagram, we were excited to order. However, the waitress informed us that more than half of the menu was unavailable. It's understandable for some dishes to be unavailable but more than half is a bit disappointing. She also mentioned home fries which is what I thought I was ordering but instead got regular fries, which were not crunchy. The fries were a 2 out of 5. The garlic aoli was delicious though. The breakfast sandwich was also a 2 out of 5 - it was kind of soggy but the outside layer of tortilla was crispy. Overall, the experience was underwhelming. It was delightful to have some interesting and unusual foods from places in Latin America other than Mexico. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, as are the wonderful staff. We really liked the open kitchen concept. The menu is quite small, but has some interesting twists. First off, you MUST try the fruit guacamole. Both the guac and the chips are different and amazingly delicious. The vegetarian rice was excellent. The pork belly was good, but not fantastic. The lava cake was excellent. Once again, Pacifico did not disappoint. Atmosphere is unique and a welcomed addition to the Bidd-Saco area. We were dressed up, as were others, which was great to see, but some people went causal. Drinks were on point: my wife got the special Witch's Brew. She said it was the best cocktail she's ever had. It had a crisp, refreshing start with complex tart finish. Presentation was amazing. We got the cheese balls and scallop ceviche as appetizers; both were good. Dinner was the heavy hitter: I got the steak and my wife got the vegan rice. Steak was well cooked and seasoned with just the right amount of Latin flavors. The vegan rice was the star of the show for food. Flavors were out of this world, tons of veggies, and plantains. I was very excited to try Pacifico and very much let down. We parked in the general parking area for the mill and could not figure out how to get to the entrance. Turns out, we were more on the backside of the building and ended up entering through the back door of Pacifico. When we entered we felt unwelcomed. 1 of the 2 bartenders asked if they could help us from afar and ultimately told us to see the hostess. We were immediately asked if we had a reservation to which we replied no, we'd like to sit at the bar. Interestingly, the restaurant remained pretty empty during our entire stay. The bar looks pretty sad. It's along a big empty wall and looks temporary. Actually, everything about Pacifico looks temporary. The photos online make it look a lot better than it is. We got cocktails which were okay and shared 2 appetizers which were actually delicious and unique. Ultimately the food does not outweigh the experience so we have no intentions of returning. read more

Really terrible experience here. Despite having been there several times before, my friends and I were ignored and spoken to rudely. We made reservations in advance, but upon arrival, we waited at the hostess stand for 10 minutes without any acknowledgment from the staff. Once seated, we waited 20 minutes without being served, not even a glass of water or a greeting from a waitress. Meanwhile, a group that arrived after us was promptly attended to. When we decided to leave, a waitress scolded us for not waiting longer. While I understand that restaurants can get busy and understaffed, a little communication could have salvaged our special night out. We won't be returning. read more

To start off, we made a reservation ahead of time and we were glad that we did! Pacifico is already off to a great start within the Saco-Biddo community and was steadily busy all night while we were there. The decoration and vibe of the restaurant was out of this world- the owners did an excellent job making the atmosphere inviting and sexy. We were greeted and sat promptly at a cozy little table facing the bar. We loved watching the cocktails being made by the bartenders. Our server had a personality that was slightly off-putting but we let the food and drinks speak for themselves. My partner and I split Croquetas (we chose the ones they had on special that were made with cod), Queso Dorado, Ceviche de Mariscos, and NY Strip Churrasco. The Croquetas were delicious and we loved the sauce that was served with it. The Queso was not exactly what we expected but was still perfectly good! In hindsight, the Queso would be the plate that we could have done without. The Ceviche was excellent- fresh and well-seasoned. The Churrasco was a game changer- it was perfectly cooked and the chimichurri on top was awesome. The fries and aioli served on the side were tasty as well. Throughout our dining experience, my partner and I sampled many of their inventive cocktails including: Soneto 22, Remedios the Beauty, Boy from Ipanema, Rickey Martin, Killing Me Softly, and a glass of vino verde. The cocktails were what made this experience shine- they were beautifully served and every single one of them was delicious. Truly exceptional! For dessert, we shared Panna Cotta Maracuya and Chocolate Lava Cake. The Panna Cotta had a bitter drizzle over top of it that made it very unpleasant to eat- if ordering this, I would ask for no drizzle or for it on the side. Dessert was just okay but we did not let that ruin our otherwise-great experience! Overall, my partner and I agreed that this was the best dining experience that we have had since moving to the area! Set in a beautiful restored brick building filled with large windows, lots of green leafy plants and high ceilings this restaurant was unexpectedly stunning. Although, I really shouldn't be surprised as they put out some of the most instagramable cocktails around. Those cocktails by the way are just as tasty as they are beautiful. Our waiter helpfully told us which ones favored the sweet side, bs the more tart like my wonder boy from Ipanema/caipirinha which was nicely boozy with a little bit of tart. In fact all the staff were wonderful and service was very quick. Next time, I would hold off ordering it all at once to have a bit more leisurely meal, but that could be just me. Small plates were very good! We loved the grilled cheese, perfectly crisped up on the outside, warm beautiful cheese in the middle l, topped by the perfect guava to cut the richness. Yum! The shrimp with Avocado and salsa also deeply satisfied as did the tuna. I loved Pacifico's use of citrus and spices. My favorite was the octopus with plantains. Again a situation of beautiful perfectly tender grilled octopus with golden fried plantains and a avocado smear so tasty savory good! Pacifico has made a beautiful space in the Mill buildings of Biddeford/Saco area. It gives you a welcoming feeling and has a great ambiance. We were first to arrive upon opening and were seated at a small two person table. Coffee is strong, but that's how I like it! My friend asked for hot tea and they had a nice selection. We wanted to try the Canasta de Pan con Mermilada, a Latin bread sampler . However, we were disappointed, the breads are made in-house and did not turn out to be served (I guess they didn't bake up right). So, we moved on and ordered the Vegtable Breafast Burrito and Huevos Pericos. Both were very delicious and filling, yet I would have expected potatoes for their "Patatas," but they turned out to be seasoned shoestring French fries like you buy in the frozen food aisle in the local supermarket. As well, we waited for what felt like 30 or more minutes for our food, and it was on the cool side. There was also another couple that came in and ordered well after us and got their food at the same time. There were two pleasant servers, yet while waiting for food, we were not approached in regards to refills of coffee ,hot water for tea, or our water pitcher. Celebrating my birthday (we four were decades older than the other diners) - great service, yummy cocktails and delicious foods I would expect to find in my home of San Francisco rather than in Maine.
