This review is regarding the Chesterfield, MO location at Kers Mill and Clarkson. I'm on Medicare,…read moreso I can go anywhere I want... I looked at going to St Lukes Urgent Care, because my primary Doctor works at St. Lukes. The reviews were TERRIBLE.. Then TAUC popped up as an option for an Urgent Care, and since they just finished this new location in the last year or less, I read their reviews. All the reviews for TAUC were really good. I called them, and in 30 minutes I was there, filled out my paperwork, and was in a waiting room getting my blood pressure, oxygen levels and had a very very thorough EMT worker asking me lots of questions. The great part is I could call and give them a heads up and reserve a time to be seen. Shout out to JOSH. The receptionist was also very friendly, so shout out to Heather. I didn't have anything life threatening, but it could of possibly lead into that. What I thought was a fever blister, ended up being a very deep tissue skin infection, which, may I add, hurt like crazy in my nose, and my nose was throbbing, and red and very very painful. I saw Dr. Sparks. From the moment she walked in the room, with her assistant, who was taking notes, I felt like I was in very good hands. I was given 3 RXs to fight the infection and also got my flu shot while there. She was very very good and professional and diagnosed the problem.. On top of my rave reviews for the personnel including the half dozen or more people working behind the sceen, the place was spotless... I think you could of eaten off the floor. Also, I thought it was great that the examination rooms had television with a family type movie showing.. What better way to set a childs mind at ease.. Another plus to this location..They have their own Pharmacy, so you can get your RX's filled there if you so choose, but they don't limit you to doing that. It's very easy to get in and out of the parking lot also. One entrance on Kers Mill and one on Clarkson. 5 Stars is the rating I gave but actually, they get 10 stars. To be able to get in and see a DR...,( not that CVS clinic isn't a good place to go, ) was truly benefical. Also, lot of examinating rooms. I was in room 13! The also have the ability to do xrays there also. If anything..I would totally recommend going to this location in place of an ER, unless you were under life threatening conditons and needed a surgery room! Thank you also, because when I got there, my blood pressure was pretty elevated. After 2 shots, and 2 blood pressure checks, the second check came in noticable less! Woohoo! I will absolutely go back even if for just a flu shot again next year.

I secured my spot in line for 8:00 AM when they opened & and had spot #1 per text. I arrived a few…read moreminutes before 8:00, doors still locked but patient in the waiting room already & I received subsequent text that I'm now #2 in line, not a big deal. While waiting, 3 other patients get seen before me. Texts do state that more urgent patients may be seen before me, totally understandable, but nobody was bleeding or crying in pain, so I'm interested in their triage rules. So, after waiting for about 30 minutes they then hand me the forms I need to fill out...guess it was too simple to give me those when I checked in with the surly receptionist. Guy that gave me the forms was pleasant enough & efficient. After waiting in the room for just a few minutes the 1 highlight of my visit, Riley the nurse, came in to check my vitals, etc. That all went well. Then Dr Robert Tague shuffles in, barely speaks for the 90 seconds I saw him and asked where I wanted the scrip sent. He proceeded to send the scrip to the wrong pharmacy, which I caught before I left the urgent care facility. Doc managed to screw up the scrip even more and I've now been waiting at the pharmacy for an hour for them to correct the scrip AGAIN. The pharmacist sent in the request electronically, no response. I called and spoke to someone who'd assured me the corrected scrip would arrive "in a few minutes". 20 minutes later it still wasn't received so the pharmacist called in directly and was told it would be corrected "in a few minutes". Fortunately this all happened on a Saturday when my schedule is more flexible and it's only to address a minor health issue. I usually go to a Mercy Urgent Care near me and get great service but this place opened up an hour earlier so thought I'd give it a try. Won't be making that mistake again. If Dr Tague can't accurately write a scrip perhaps he should consider retirement. Based on his looks & demeanor I'd guess he is eligible for full social security benefits at this point & shouldn't be writing bad scrips that was an inconvenience in my case but could be serious with another type of med. I'd give this dump a 1, but Riley doubled their score...

Today's visit started out great. They saved my spot and when it was my turn, they got me into a…read moreroom right away. An EMT came in to check the concern I had about my right shin. His comments gave me confidence that my concern was minimal. He said one of the providers would come in to confirm his thoughts. Fifty minutes went by and I could hear one loud voice and others laughing. This went on until it became clear that no one was getting close to coming in check me out, so I chose to leave. I was greeted after a few steps by the person who was obviously the doctor and leader of the "party" outside my door. He asked if I was leaving. I said I've waiting an hour with no action, so I was going to leave. He told me 'there are other patients, too'. He wasn't taking care of them either. He was rude and condescending and I couldn't leave fast enough. I have counted on this location many times before with much better treatment. Do Better.

I used to love this place. There is one provider who I still love, but when my kids or I don't get…read moreto see her, it's marginal at best. My last visit, however was horrendous. I have an MRI confirmed labral tear plus impingement in my hip. I also have hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, among other things, which makes my joints unstable and pop out of place, plus puts me at a much greater risk for injury. While trying to step on the leg with the labral tear, the leg collapsed, causing my hip to sublux, my knee collapsed and jerked sideways with my kneecap shifting one way and my femor going the other. It hurt like hell and both joints swelled and became discolored. I tried to nurse it at home because females with pain, especially chronic pain are treated like sh*t at ERs and UCs. Even with taking the Norco I already had at home, the pain got worse so I couldn't sleep or walk and I had a big flare up of migraine and occipital neuralgia. I was in so much pain from all of these things, so I finally decided to go to TAUC because I knew they could do imaging to check for worsened/additional injuries, and knowing I had an MRI confirmed tear in my hip labrum (among other issues) so they couldn't try to tell me there was nothing wrong. I was mistaken. Dr. DeLucia was hostile the minute he walked into the room, asking "Why are you here? What do you expect me to do? I'm not giving you any meds." I calmly explained that I had a tear in my left hip and that I was concerned that I worsened the existing injury and also injured my knee. I explained that I even took the Norco that I had at home, but when it didn't help like it normally did, it made me wondered if I caused further injury. I tried to pull up the MRI report confirming the labral tear and he said, "I don't need to see it, it doesn't matter." He walked over, sharply jerked my hip & knee back and forth and the pain was so severe that I shrieked and tried to jump off the table to get away. He said, "Other than the pain you claim you have, there is nothing that indicates any issue." He ordered zero imaging to back that claim up, didn't even raise my pant leg to see the swelling and discoloration. He asked why I didn't just go to my PCP (It was the weekend) he challenged my allergy to steroids that was diagnosed by my Dr after anaphylactic symptoms, plus they are contraindicated in patients who have my health issues, and told me that "if I thought I really had pain I should see a pain management dr. When I told him that I DID have a pain management Dr, he goes, "Oh yeah? Who?" and after I told him the name, he says, "Hmmm, that's funny that I have never heard of him." He walked out saying there was nothing he could do for me. And the biggest problem was when he flat out lied in my chart and said, "Patient asked for Norco by name." I absolutely did NOT, I told him multiple times that I had it at home and had been taking it at home and only came in because it was less effective than usual, making me wonder if I had worsened my existing hip injury as well as causing new injury to my knee. Dr. DeLucia was hostile, careless, spiteful, and FLAT OUT LIED in my chart. Honestly, he's lucky that a bad review is the only action I decided to take after that visit.
