Not my first time in, and won't be my last. This location continues to blow me away. I dislocated my shoulder last night and wanted to avoid the ER, they said come right in and they would take care of it. They weren't kidding. I was in and out in about 45 min. Everyone had top notch bedside manner, I mean, the best most sweetest people. Idk who does the hiring, but it's amazing. This isn't the first time it was like this. I've had nothing but amazing experiences here - swift, kind care, and they handle everything in house. I will never go anywhere else, this place is it. Best urgent care in the city. read more

I am in from Dallas for training and fell ill. I came to this place and from the first moment of making the appointment it was easy. The receptionist helped me understand how the online wait list worked. I just kept checking the app to see when I was going to be next so the timing on getting there was perfect. I was at the mercy of Uber to get there. I wish I could remember everyone's names that walked me through this process but I hope you remember the woman from Dallas and know that I appreciate you and your kindness. I ended up being diagnosed with the flu and as bad as I feel right now I am pushing to write this review. They have a flow of getting you checked in, looked at, and checked out, that was so smooth. Second time around for covid testing and it was much faster. They did not have the rapid tests like they did when my husband came previously. The wait time now is 5-7 days whereas my first test was 3 days. There was a line outside before they opened but once you get checked in, you wait in the car. Total time was about an hour from check in to leaving. read more

I took my 85 yr old father to TAUC on the advice of his doctor.... Because he is a cardiac patient and blood pressure was high with double vision... they would not even see him to assess if he was having an incident or not.... Which I later found out is not legal.... They need to assess you and should not turn you away... I know this because his current internal doctor used to work for TAUC and so did my daughter... they were so shocked that they turned him away instead of assessing and possibly sending him in an ambulance if needed read more

My thumb was cut by a fan blade and I went in to get it cleaned up properly and checked as it was more than a minor injury. The Hampton office was busy and behind schedule and gave me the option to go to the Grand Blvd. site as they could get me in sooner so I said ok. I got in quickly and a tech. came in to clean it up for `the doctor'. He gave it a quick rinse and left. Next came a person that said she was taking me for a x-ray. I said that was not necessary and she left. Next came a nurse practitioner who tried to scare me into getting the x-ray but I declined again. Then when she insisted, I said she was just trying to pad the bill and she got mad. Then she stepped out for a minute or two, then returned and said she was sending an antibiotic prescription to my pharmacy and that she would have closed the wound if I came in sooner but now she did not want to close it and seal in an infection. She left again. Finally a young man came in with 5 pages for me and said the top page was my summary and the rest were `just Junk' and you can go. So essentially I was sent out without having my wound properly cleaned or dressed. Just exposed raw flesh and still dirty skin around it. I was appalled by my experience there and will never return. Also I will not give any other TUAC office a chance to repeat that performance. read more

It's Christmas eve and I have had a respiratory problem going on for the past 5 days. This morning I got out of bed and coughed so hard and long i thought I was going to choke, so I decided it was time to do something other than homeopathetic self care. I usually go to the TAUC on Chippewa, but it was booked out for hours, so I decided to take a chance on the Grand location. I was there for over 2 1/2 hours and at the end they had ruled out a few types of viral infections and were ready to send me home with some mild cough medicene I have taken before to no effect. I asked the main caregiver if she could just write me a prescrip for some cough medicine with codeine and was told she couldn't do that because, as a PA, she isn't allowed to write prescrips with opioids. I asked if there was a doctor there I could see who could write a prescription that had codeine and was told "not at this location" multiple times. Then I remembered that this is why I hate the Grand location. There is NEVER a doctor there. I have ALWAYs been able to see a doctor at the Chippewa location and they have written me prescriptions with codeine. Coughing hard right now and mad that I spent time and money to NOT be treated by a doctor and not get anything that would be strong enough to actually help with my heavy, continual coughing. All TAUC locations do not offer you the same level of treatment. Never going back to Grand location. Waste of time and money. Also, this Anita D is NOT me. $1000 To Remove A Splinter At TAUC!!! "ER skills without the bills." What a joke! A splinter was recently embedded in my hand while I was constructing a wooden fence. I tried to remove it myself, but it was just too difficult because I needed two hands to do so, one to squeeze at the site of the splinter and the other to remove it with tweezers. So, I made my way up the street to Total Access Urgent Care to have it removed, thinking that I wouldn't be charged too much. After all, it's only a splinter; I didn't break my leg...The procedure took a few minutes and I was in and out before too long. I was curious to know what the cost to remove a splinter was, so before leaving, I inquired at the front desk. The lady told me that the cost was roughly $500, which I thought was pretty excessive, but I didn't make a fuss. She told me that I would have to wait for the final bill which I would receive in a month or so. I thanked the lady and walked out the door, lamenting the state of our healthcare system. Fast forward about 5 weeks. I received a bill for close to $1000!!! $500 is way too much, but $1000 is flat out wrong! I called TUAC billing department to see what exactly I was being charged for and if there had been some kind of mistake. Ultimately, billing said there had been no mistake and they stood by their outrageous $1000 charge to remove A SPLINTER! They charged roughly $460 for the procedure and $490 for the room. This should be a crime. But what can I do?...Nothing. If I don't pay they send me to collections and damage my credit. These people are getting away with extortion. TAUC was sued by the federal government last year because of fraudulent claims it made over years to federal health care programs...It make me wonder if they are jacking up their fees to pay for their wrongdoing. read more

BEWARE! Total Access is NOT an EMERGENCY ROOM! If you have an emergency, go to an emergency room DO NOT GO TO TOTAL ACCESS. We called ahead with a potential emergency. They told us to hurry in. First they require payment. Then they took temperature, blood pressure, pulse, etc, etc... When finished, they said they didn't have the skills or equipment to address my problem, and I should rush to the ER at BJC!!!! They took my money, took an hour of my time, and gave NOTHING!!! EDIT: Very PECULIAR We talked to Terry Campbell and expressed our dissatisfaction that Total Access held us at their facility for an hour knowing they lacked the tools to even assess my condition. But she and the billing department were unmovable. They had our money. End of story. So it was a surprise when Ms Campbell called the next day to give me the OWNER, MATT BRUCKEL's personal cell number and told me to follow up with him. But his call was not to patch things up. Apparently he just wanted to get in on the fight and give a few licks of his own. No one on his staff was as rude or arrogant. No one else shouted me down. When he was done delivering his best blows he hung up on me. read more

I suppose this happens occasionally but I sat in a room for nearly an hour waiting to be seen. The receptionist came in twice to check on me and to say they'd had an unusual "crunch." Anyway, once I was finally seen I couldn't have been happier with the staff, especially the PA who saw me. Very nice and thorough. He spent a lot of time diagnosing and treating my mysterious earache. His attentiveness to my problem made the long wait worth it. I've never been a fan of urgent care centers but TAUC will have my business in the future. (Hopefully I won't need it!) :) read more

I woke up yesterday with both of my ears hurting out of the blue. Even with today being a holiday, I felt it had gotten worse, & knew I needed medicine so I decided to give them a chance. Not only were they kind & professional, it was less expensive than I had estimated. Amber, the nurse practitioner was sweet & very knowledgeable, making me feel rest assured I was in great hands. Greg, the EMT was equally as kind & professional. I would definitely recommend anyone feeling under the weather to check out this Urgent Care. I also recommend going the cash route. This urgent care is in a great neighborhood, very friendly staff, fast service, and they have an affordable pharmacy onsite so you can immediately begin treating your condition. I got in a room right away. They have tvs in the lobby and treatment rooms. They were thorough in their treatment. I came in with suspected mastitis which was confirmed. They gave me a flu culture test of which they were able to get results in about ten minutes. I've never been offered that before. read more

They do not communicate what insurance they take. Beware they do not take all insurance. Call before you go. There service is great if insurance will pay for it. I hope they communicate more about what insurance they take on all their doors and digital sites. read more

Billing department sends me an UNITEMIZED receipt for another $180 a few weeks later with no explanation other than "the clinic didn't add all your services before we gave you the balance due" Could have been handled way better - extremely unprofessional. I signed in online, came in 10 minutes before my appointment to fill out paperwork and was in a room within 5 minutes. Providers and techs were prompt, efficient and professional. Clean and updated environment. Surprisingly lab and pharmacy are in house. Will come here again if need be! read more

This was honestly one of the best experiences that I've had in a "doctor's office." It was very clean and updated, with TVs in each treatment room. The staff was great and made me, a nervous college student, feel very comfortable. I also feel like everyone who I saw genuinely listened to me and were not rushing me. They really made sure to explain to me exactly what they believed was going on and what I was going to be treated with and I was very thankful for their thoroughness, as I was very sick and was getting worried. Test results came back very fast and I was thankful for their on-site pharmacy because I didn't have to wait any longer or stop at another pharmacy to start feeling better. Like a lot of people in the neighborhood I wasn't thrilled when Bread Co closed and we found out an urgent care was going in. But after slicing my finger open I'm glad it was there! They got me right in, took one look and said I needed stitches... a first in my 32 years. (Insert sad face here). The room was nice and even had a TV. The intake nurse got me situated with the remote and I got to watch American Pickers while I got a tetanus shot and 5 stitches. I'm a total baby but the staff was so nice and got me taken care of and on my way in about an hour. Not the most fun way to spend an evening, but I was glad to be within walking distance of this place when I needed it! read more

I arrived, filled out new patient paperwork and was brought to a room within approx 7 minutes of my arrival. Love having no wait! I was seen, they were very thorough about getting to the root of the problem. I was sent to another location that had the CT scanner, but my final diagnosis was still delivered from this location. I even received a follow up call-something I've never gotten from another Urgent Care before. I was very impressed. The staff was so friendly and really seemed to care about you! I am from out of town and I am not familiar with any of the urgent care locations in St Louis. However after a quick google search I landed at Total Access. I truly enjoyed my experience at this urgent care. I came in dehydrated, nauseous and extremely dizzy. The staff made sure I was comfortable, gave me lots of fluids and the perfect dose of meds in office and some to take home in case the nausea continued. My only thought is... I wish I would have went in sooner instead of trying to stick my stomach bug out at home. read more

I understand that covid-19 testing is important to individual and community health these days. However, I went to TAUC for a non-covid related medical need. I waited (in my car, of course) for three hours before I was called inside. I was told I was the only non-covid patient who had been seen that day. Each staff person who assisted me assumed I was there for covid testing. I would suggest TAUC make some hours specifically for non-covid patients so they are not waiting so long while others are being covid tested. read more

They have the most common medications on hand already so you don't have to wait at Walgreens/CVS to get your prescription filled. Would highly recommend! read more

Total overkill of services. I brought my toddler in for an asthma attack and they ordered unnecessary tests totaling $1000, like chest x rays. There's a difference between being thorough and just bilking a consumer/insurance company. I would not recommend for pediatric patients. This is my second negative experience with them (first was an allergic reaction to food and they tried and miserably to put an IV into my 3 year old rather than just give her an oral dose). Staff is friendly and just doing their job but don't bring children here. Seek a pediatric urgent care. read more
