I greeted the cashier girl & she barely acknowledged me & just started scanning my items. The problem came when one of my items didn't have a bar code. (The particular item doesn't come in a box). The cashier girl opened my jar of moisturizer & lifted the inner lid.. smh!. Then she went to ask the employee managing the checkout area to find the price. Throughout the whole transaction I felt she was being very dismissive & I could feel the underlying attitude she had. She clicked thru all the screens (past the pay with your Ulta CC screen- apparently if you don't have the physical card or anything it's required for you to show physical govt ID). I don't know what her rush was (the store was pretty empty & no one was waiting to checkout) but I also didn't want to be in the store any longer than possible so I used my card & paid. Then I looked at my total & I noticed my total didn't account for the member savings event % off. She immediately got mad at me & defensive. Meanwhile all this time I had my Ulta app open to my savings barcode.. she had not looked at it once! It was all sorted out by the cashier lead but man I'm NEVER going to this Ulta again. My hair was really dry and tangled because I didn't wash it in a month. Danny took her time and detangled my hair and was very very gentle with it.
