I simply can't say enough amazing things about Gene and his partner Marry. Gene and Marry are far exceeded me and my husband's expectations. Was very organized, professional, and knew how to transform our 1pm wedding lunch into an epic dance party. From day 1, we had a great feeling about Gene. He was meticulous about knowing the exact pronunciations of everyone's names in Korean to prevent any gaffes and made sure we gave him our vision for the big day. Our original plan was to play primarily CCM plus hip hop/pop from the 80s to current day. I sent him a list of songs I liked and artists/songs that shouldn't played. From there, Gene was able to ascertain our taste and did some really amazing mash-ups of high school favorites with current day hits. While most wedding DJ's just play top 40 and Motown, he was able to layer in amazing beats and seamlessly transition out of songs that didn't get the crowd pumping right away. It felt like being at a really great club and not at a wedding, which is totally the vibe we were looking for, though it was a under the day light. Gene was an amazing MC that wasn't at all cheesy and you could tell how experienced he was. He was very smooth and flexible when lunch got a bit delayed and played movie for the audience and say a prayer while setting up the screen! The party really got started after lunch and everyone was having so much fun dancing! Gene also randomly played our Korean popular song "Kangnam Style" which everyone loved :) Several guests have raved about Gene and told me how much they loved his performance. Looking back, our favorite memories of the day were dancing and having a great time with our friends and family. Gene and Mary were the DJs for the wedding of good friends of my wife and myself and we remembered them being awesome, so we asked to get their information from our friends.
