Fields are surrounded by fencing. Restrooms did not seem to be maintained throughout the day so as the day wore on, and more people were using it, it was a mess - no toilet paper, dirty messy floors, a couple of toilets needing maintenance. Not pleasant at all. There's only one restroom building and for our tournament, there was always a line at the women's restroom. Parking was horrendous. For any other regular event, there's probably enough parking but for this tournament it filled up quickly by 8am and people were starting to park in the grass. The Park officials announced during the tournament that anyone parking on the grass will be towed. They did suggest other parking areas on a gravel path that were still pretty limited. If you're there for a big event, just get there early enough to park.

(Just play with your settings; I found TV mode to be best-adjust white balance and ISO) I am by no means a professional, but I love taking sports photos. And these were some of my best! I love rooting on the team and hear the moms and dads cheering on their kids. This park isn't in the best shape but community of players, coaches, and parents definitely makes up the atmosphere! The Steel Creek Athletic Association (SCCA), has been an outstanding environment for both of my…read moresons. Soccer, flag football, tackle football, baseball, they have leagues for all. While the kids practice you can walk or run around the facility (~1 mile completely around the park). The only minor knock on the facilities is the limited bathrooms/dependence on porta-potties. However the people and the parents we've encountered at Steele Creek are all top notch and know what family/community is about. This is a great association for families. We really lucked up by moving to this area of Charlotte.
