Amazing costumer service! I've never encountered such an amazing group of individuals like I did at total vision optometry! Everybody greeted us as we walked in and made us feel welcomed. Once I told them what I needed, one of the workers with the name of Jessica helped me right away and found a so lotion for me. She showed me options and also made sure that I was comfortable with what I was going to choose. It was an overall great experience which I didn't expect considering it was my first time there but I honestly felt like this was the right place to go. Definitely going to be coming here from now and i encourage everybody else to go here. I'm not sure where these people get the lenses done but it's very cheap. For some reason I kept having a blurry spot on the corner of the lens. They sent it back and the problem was still there. They suggested I try and choose smaller frames but this time I can't send them back even if the problem is still there. Sure enough I recieved the new ones with the blurry spot still there! The manager was a bit rude and told me that there was nothing else they can do.. seriously? How I'm I supposed to use them? I've worn glasses every day since I was small and I've never had an issue with this. I was better off ordering $30 dollar ones from the internet. Went here for contacts after going to another optometrist office with horrible customer service. The staff here is professional and extremely nice. From the time I arrived, my exam and my contact tutorial were excellent. They were very accommodating. I'd recommend this place to anyone that needed eyeglasses or contacts. read more

A little recap of my awesome experience with Total Vision Optometry: Called on Friday and scheduled my appointment for a Sunday at 12:30pm at the Downey location. Came in and was attended to promptly. They had me do a few tests for my eyes and when those were done, Dr. Sanchez greeted me and helped me find my measurement. I can never tell which one of the measurement options look best but Dr. Sanchez was really patient with me. We finally chose the right one for me. Dr. Sanchez and his staff are all very friendly and professional. I was needing to get my glasses quickly as I was changing jobs so I told the staff member who helped me choose my eyeglass frames and he put in a request to get them expedited. By Thursday, my glasses were ready. Went to pick them up and now I can see great again. I definitely recommend Total Vision Optometry for anyone needing glasses. They have some pretty cool frames too so if you like something stylish, you should stop by and check it out. read more

0 stars for this place. I've been here twice. The first time was an ok experience, the second time was a terrible experience. I will absolutely never come back here. At my next exam, I will be choosing another place. I waited for 30 mins despite having an appointment. I was ok letting this pass. The dr was fine. She asked me if i wore contacts and I said yes, sometimes. I complained about dry eyes and she recommended a different type of contacts. She asked if I would like to try a different type and I said yes. She informed me that she would send me home with a trial pair and with instructions on how to wear them for a week. All this was fine. What pissed me off was that they don't inform you that a trial pair of contacts is $42. The girl that charged me just told me my total was $52. Who in the hell charges $42 for a 7 day pair of contact lenses. I had to inquire on why my total was $52. My first visit in 2015 was the first time I had a contact fitting and I had no idea that they charged $42 for that. They offered to have someone help me try on the contacts in the office since it was my first time and i obviously said yes to my surprise it cost $42 to have someone watch you try to put on the contacts. I was not informed of this beforehand. I was told after I had already been helped and the lady opened the box to help Me with the contacts. Had I known before hand about these charges I would've declined the service. I don't understand how it's legal for a business to function this way. read more

Super friendly staff, Nancy was very helpful and made the process very fast & comfortable. If you come here ask for Nancy she goes through the cases with you and makes looking for glasses easy, they have a wide selection of high end to more affordable grames. She also was very helpful with the lenes and recommend I pay a-little more for tech-shield/anti-glare which was never recommended to me in the past. The Doctor was very friendly and advised i wait a-little longer for Lasik i really appreciated his advice on my contacts too. Overall it was a great experience i would highly recommended it. I've been coming with Dr Sanchez since 2001. I've always been happy with his level of service and always recommend him to family and friends. His receptionist are always very helpful and willing to go the extra mile to ensure that you the customer are happy. I started out with glasses and moved on to contacts. This is probably the cleanest place in the whole mall and it helps satisfy my OCD when I go to all the nasty department stores with clothes on the floor and the dusty shelves. Anyway, Brandon is very polite and recommended I get lasik which I got and now I can see so crystal clear. He hired a new doctor which is cool. I recommend you come here instead of other optometrists where their selection is boring and the doctors want to get you out asap. BY THE WAY, STUPID lens crafters did not want to give me a glasses case the first time I went to go get glasses there, they said I would have to pay extra, I got mad so they gave me a complimentary pouch...another reason I went to Sanchez. read more

Don't let them waste your time with the "follow up" appointment! Initial exam for contacts was fine - the doctor I saw was pretty pleasant, although I did feel he was upselling the Lasik. Thought customer service was pretty good up to this pont, until... I came to the so called follow-up appointment - just for them to ask me if the contacts were working out ok and if I wanted them to order them for me? Are you freakin" kidding me?! I asked why they had me come in for that, when we could've done it over the phone? All the girl could say is sorry and who helped me with the follow up appointment - which doesn't solve anything. They should be more considerate and think about what people have to go through, specially if they have a baby at home, just to make it to their stupid "follow up appointment". If you do go here, don't waste your time with the "follow-up appointment", just give them a call and tell them to "proceed with the order" unless of course there is something wrong with the contacts. read more

My first visit was to be fitted for contacts. After 5 different samples, I thought maybe they just hadn't measured my eyes correctly so I decided to just settle for glasses instead since I had a credit with this place and there was no way for them to give me my money back. I finally ordered my glasses and a month later, I'm still waiting to pick them up. Each time I call they tell me they'll call me when they're ready, and each time I ask them what number they have on file and they repeat my OLD number after I've asked them to update it at least 5 times. There seems to be a major lack of urgency on their end, as well as little to no communication. I will not be returning to this office after I get my glasses. If that ever happens. read more

I have been going to Total Vision Optometry for about 3 years now and services have always been great. Dr. Sanchez is always courteous and answers all of my questions. He also speaks Spanish, which is a huge plus (my Spanish speaking parents come in for their appointments and yearly check-ups). There is a great variety of frames from low to high end. Very unhappy with this place. They stack on prices and then pretend that you approved it. I had clearly mentioned that I didn't want an added feature on my lens and of course, I see it on me receipt. They will not remove the charge for some unknown reason. I don't recommend this place. I know it's all about making money but this is too much. read more

The optometrist was very kind and helpful. I ended up getting some Oakley frames with anti-scratch, anti-glare coating on my lenses for under $200. The lenscrafters next door wanted $600 for the exact same thing. They were done in about 5 days too. Awesome place. read more

Dr Sanchez is SO nice. Much more personable than most doctors. Everyone was very nice and prompt and made sure I was satisfied. One of the ladies took a ton of glasses out of the cases so that I could try them all on since I couldn't decide which of them I wanted. The service was great. The Doctor took her time to explain the results and she seemed caring and professional and I liked that a lot. What I didnt not like was that the young lady that helped me select my glasses said the frames were 20% off. The frames I got were $207. I only got $2.00 off at the end. I would recommend you don't say there is a 20% discount when there is not. read more

I had to call them numerous times before they gave me this answer. Now I still have to wait for them to receive my frame and have them sent in to get my prescription made. I've had other eye doctors and I can say that Dr. Sanchez is the best. He's never been late for an appointment and he's never rescheduled. His staff is always courteous and my visits are always quick. He's honest and he's a good listener. He's there on the weekends which is great for me as I work 50+ hours during the week. When i get my 2nd pair of glasses i probably won't be returning here. The exam was fine but all the doctor said to me was my eyes seemed to look "healthy" and then he wrote me a new perscription. That's it. I ordered glasses and went to go pick them up about 2 weeks later. When i arrived the glasses seemed off and everything looked 3D and painfully exteme. I asked why because my contacts which were the same perscription do NOT look that way. The girl explained "oh because we put the astigmatism lenses on your glasses". This made me pissed off, because it is one thing to need something then fine, but to just do it and not let me know or have no one explain it to me really beforehand was not cool. My previous eye doctor Yanna Yu at walmart was better than this place. She explained everything was genuinely concerned. I was so annoyed that they messed with my lenses unknowingly that i asked her to take the lenses off and put the regular perscription on them. She refused and said i had to try them. Finally i saw this was going nowhere and left with the glasses displeased. She told me to give them a try and make a follow up a ppointment to "ask" the doctor if he could take them off. Pfft. The place looks great and the glasses are displayed beautifully and they are all name brand and designer, but i believe customer service and actually explaining whats going to happen to your eyes/materials that you paid for trumps a pretty store. I did try out the glasses after doing some reading on my own and the vision did even out for the most part, but that still doesnt excuse the lack of explanation on the doctors or the techs part that they was going to order them that way. read more

My whole family goes to Dr. Sanchez. They usually schedule you within the same week for an eye exam. You can walk in if you are just choosing another pair of glasses or shades. The doctor is very professional and has good bed side manners. The staff is very nice and friendly at helping you choose the glasses you need. They are open late and on the weekends as well which makes it easier for those that need an appointment and work. I would recommend making an appointment and not to walk in if you need your vision checked because they do get busy. Overall I love coming here and would recommend to everyone.
