The mansion tour was very interesting and our tour guide was fantastic. I forget her name, but shes a college student and she did a great job! One note: there are several sets of stairs on the tour and no elevators since it is an old building, so skip the mansion tour if unable to do stairs. You can't take pictures inside but it's worth viewing. The grounds and carriage house are worth exploring too. The wine tasting provided at the end of the tour was rushed and underwhelming. It was a quick splash of painfully sweet wine in a gift shop. I wouldn't rush back for the wine.

This focused on the history of enslavement thru emancipation. It lasted 1 hr 30 minutes. Plenty of walking , and climbing stairs ( fyi ). Complimentary wine tasting of four wines . Walking the grounds is great exercise for some but can be challenging for others with disabilities or leg problems. Winery, cafe, and a restaurant is on grounds as well for dining options. Gift shop has plenty of variety from bags , mugs, ornaments, seasonings, home decor items etc. prices vary. I purchase this tour on a site called Get your guide. It's a reserve now pay later option that lets you get your monies in order on a confirmation date but keep your seat for your tours. Check website for days and hours !

We booked our trip with BOF when things seemed to be getting a little better despite the pandemic…read more As seasoned distillery tourists, my friend and I were excited to check out some places in TN while we were in town, but didn't want to have to worry about driving ourselves or ride sharing due to distance between places. When I found BOF I knew we'd be in good hands. We booked the 3 distilleries + winery option (best bang for our buck and best way to see multiple places). But as our trip drew closer, the restrictions on bars and places began to return. About a week prior to our visit, BOF alerted us that we either would have to do just 1 distillery and the winery or we could get a refund completely. Since this experience was part of the whole reason we chose Nashville, we decided to back down to just the 1 distillery option. The company was great about keeping in contact with us up until the day. We met the bus at the designated pick up location, got inside, introduced ourselves and then the door closed and the wheels started moving. We were shocked that they kept our reservation - we were in a party bus and it was just the two of us! We were told we could bring roadies (we opted for coffee because we're old and needed the mid-day pick-me-up) and the bus was stocked with water and snacks. Off we went to our distillery - Corsair. It was a very cool brick building, and our guide (I wish I could remember her name, so sorry) got us checked in. Since we were about 30 minutes early, we had time to explore the rest of the building/shops which was a bonus. After the fantastic tour and tasting, we re-boarded and began our drive to Arrington Winery. Although any $ spent at Arrington is not included in the cost of BOF, it was totally worth it to have them take us there. It is a bit of a hike and I wouldn't feel comfortable driving myself back to downtown after a visit there. We had about 1.5 hours at Arrington which was perfect for some tastings, a glass of frose and some snacks. Our driver was safe, and super nice. Since it was just the two of us, we asked if she could drop us off direct at our hotel (about 2 miles away from the determined location) and she did, which saved us an additional UBER ride, so thank you! I look forward to whenever everything opens back up and we can book another tour with them again to try out some new places!

Such a fun day, driver was super friendly and we met some great girls on the bus. The only thing I would recommend is that we could've maybe stayed a little longer...but it was enough for a bottle of wine! Also, I left my Quay sunglasses on the bus...they were kind enough to send them to MA for me :)

But first, a few household items: - I ate before which is usually a very smart choice, however, in this case I would have eaten lighter. There was SO much food to sample, and by the time I got here I really wasn't that hungry and that is a huge bummer. Anytime drinking is involved I recommend eating, but in this case I'd eat light, or eat a heavy lunch and then nothing until the event. I probably sampled food from 60-70ish% of the vendors and I am not one to pass up free food. - Dress warmly. I was in a sweater dress and tights and not a very heavy coat. It was cold, and I was also. So learn from my mistake and dress warm! - Expect to wait in line for drinks. But you know what's so awesome? The shops with wine have adorable merchandise to browse while you wait. This is freaking GENIUS. I wasn't planning to buy anything. But did I? Of course I did. When you waive affordable costume and daily wear jewelry in my line of vision and I've had about 4 glasses of wine, my shopping defenses go down. Great for the businesses, bad for my wallet! But a fun experience and I never was annoyed waiting. We could chat and look at cute things and it was so much fun. However, be careful with that wine in the furniture stores; it is Franklin after all, and not everything was affordable. - Get a DD or utilize my BFF's Uber and Lyft. WDMS was such a blast and I'd highly highly recommend checking it out. I will be back next year!

It so happens that Erin was our driver/tour guide again as I got a text from her the day before. Unfortunately, the day the trip, Ray turn out to be our guide but Erin was still our driver. It worked out great! We got two for the price of one. Erin mainly drove but did chat here and there on the trip. Ray was very knowledgable on so many topics! He did a great job entertaining us on the ride. Ray was also very thoughtful and considerate of everyone in the van. He made sure we were always hydrated with water and the temperature in the van wasn't too cold. The worst part of the trip was the rain. When we stopped for lunch, Ray and Erin provided us with ponchos just in case. We end up not needing them. When we got to Jack Daniels, both of them were adamant that we should take the ponchos just in case. As it turns out, it down poured right at the start of the tour. I mean as soon as you walk out those doors to take pics and then board the bus, it came down hard!! Thankfully we were able to throw on our ponchos! Thanks again Erin and Ray for making my 2nd trip with Mint Julep fantastic! Hopefully I can tour with you again in the future!
