She helped me find some of my regular go-to wines, and she poured me a few tastings of some things that were open. I bought the Prosecco that she poured me, I'm enjoying it as I type this review. DO NOT SHOP HERE - I Was Falsely Accused and Humiliated On June 16, 2025, I visited the Total Wine South Beach location around 2:50 PM. Without any reason, the store manager, Charmila, falsely accused me of stealing liquor. After realizing I had nothing on me, she escalated the situation by falsely accusing me of being intoxicated--all in public view. I recorded the entire incident on video. I remained calm and respectful while being treated with absolute disrespect. I submitted a formal complaint to corporate, but they never responded. Today I went in with my sister to make a purchase and I guess since we look young we had the store manager Shamila come in who was extremely rude and she didn't even ask for our id and denied to sell to us since I was "rude back " she even had the audacity to say I wasn't fabulous and I felt singled out and she has terrible costumer service skills moving forward I did speak with corporate and I see that this isn't the first time it happens I even took a picture of her and she clearly isn't looking at me nicely. This may be the smallest Total Wine & More I've gone to. That or perhaps it feels that way given the location. This is placed in a building with multiple stores and linked to a parking garage after all. Parking is in a garage and it costs you depending on hour. If you make a purchase though, they'll validate your ticket for up to two hours, so go and buy something if you'd like to avoid paying for parking. I stopped by this location as it was the closest to Brickell and I wanted to get a birthday gift for my boss. I found they had a good selection of alcohol and trinkets, so I made my purchase and was on my merry way. Perhaps I could say more, but my reaction to this location, in the words of Shania Twain: that don't impress me much. Shrug. It got the job done, but this didn't feel like the typical Candyland of adult drinks I'm used to. read more

The sales associate AND manager came out to tell me that I'd need to purchase the bottle upfront. They then asked me where was I from and who the bottle was for. I should've told them I lobby their boss/the company's owner in DC. But they thought they ate... so ironic that David Trone lost his overhyped campaign to a Black woman. After being a loyal customer of this store for 6 years, for the first time I tried to obtain a refund for a bottle of wine that smelled of mold. The wine was served to my guests at a dinner party where I poured out most of the bottle. After a few sips we all concluded that the wine was corked. Online reviews confirmed that there was an issue with this wine that very surprisingly was awarded 95 points by James Suckling (complete joke). No worries I thought- I would simply bring the wine back to Total Wine Miami Beach and get a refund. I went to the store and explained the issue to Chelsea, the Manager, who arrogantly informed of their policy: if more than half the bottle is empty, no refund. No flexibility whatsoever. So if I poured this disgusting wine back into the bottle I would have received a refund? Where is the logic in this policy? It does not matter that you sold me a moldy wine that supposedly was worthy of 95 points? I have never returned anything at this store in 6+ years and have spent many thousands of dollars on wine. If Chelsea cared about customers she would have issued the $22 refund and I would have remained a happy customer. Unfortunately Chelsea does not understand customer lifetime value and was more concerned with her asserting her little power in this situation. Chelsea made my decision easy: I will never shop at any Total Wine store again. The complete lack of customer service and arrogance displayed by Chelsea was truly shocking. Thankfully there are many options for Miami Beach residents. Actually, one of the best is Empire Wine which I discovered online and is based in Albany, New York. Empire Wine ships many wines for free to Miami via FedEx, their prices are fantastic, and the customer service is top notch. They have a huge selection of producers of all sizes including many natural wines which Total Wine does not care stock. I will definitely be sharing my experience at Total Wine and Chelsea with many Miami Beach residents. read more

Sampling station only open on Fri & Sat from 3pm to 9pm! This location on South Beach has a fair mix of locals and tourists. Two hours free parking. They have a large selection so you can find your favorite item or explore new flavors while staying within your safety zone. Winery Direct prices are great with further discounts when you buy in quantity. They also have limited-time discounts on many others. The best deal is the in-store clearance liquor. Look on the shelves for the purple tags. They are always more than half off the regular price. I picked up a few bottles of craft rum and vodka and was not disappointed. It's worth being a Rewards member. They email you coupons and reminders about their classes and tastings. And of course reward points on purchases add up to free cash you can spend in store. read more

Total Wine is the real deal for a liquor store and the name lives up to itself. They have over 8,000 different wines and 3,000 different spirits! You can literally find just about any type of alcoholic beverage here and they always send me good coupons or deals through email. Parking is on the third floor of the garage with plenty of spaces available. It's very clean on the inside and everything always looks fully stocked. The service is impeccable and anytime I've needed help or finding something there's always been someone close by to take care of me. ***Review Update, 11/01/2018*** I've patronized and reviewed a few Total Wine stores, and I believe I've given all their other locations 4 stars. That said, I revisited this one at 5th and Alton on Miami Beach, and just like my first visit, I can still only give it 2 stars. On this day, I'd ordered in advance and only had to pick up my purchase. Ordering online was simple and fast. However, when I arrived to this store, it wasn't immediately clear where to go to pick up advanced purchases. I stepped up to the service counter, explained why I was there and the woman there just looked at me blankly and said "Your name?" I replied "My name is Pa..." but she rudely cut me off before I could finish. "You got a license?" I gave her my drivers license. "You gonna need a cart". "OK?", I said... "And where do I find said cart?" "You go back outside and they're over there" (she lazily motioned to the front of the building). I came back inside with the cart, she gave me my purchase, had me sign some paperwork acknowledging I'd taken delivery and I was on my way, but this experience epitomized crappy customer service from a staff who obviously didn't give a damn about the patrons of this store and bordered on lethargic. Yes. I love Total Wine. What DSW does for shoes, Total Wine does for Booze. I mean what is that you're possibly looking for that can't be found here? They have all the best, rarest, and exotic liquors cordials and spirits alongside your basic run-of-the-mill go-to's without skipping a beat. I like to come here with my cold yeti and then fill it up with all my hearts desires and stroll around the beach for as long as I want. Once I hit the sand, I'm not leaving unless I'm leaving the beach so I rather enter with a well-equipped cooler with goodies I scored here just to secure my booze situation. Of course, I'm grateful they have parking and it's a quick in and out when you walk in knowing what you're going to buy. This place is so awesome. Absolutely huge with so much stuff. They have all the wines you can possibly imagine, divided by type, varietal, country or region of origin. And all kinds of prices as well, from the cheap stuff (box wine anyone?) to the super expensive ones. You can always find some good deals though. Not to mention any other kind of booze ever conceived by mankind - vodka, rum, scotch, bourbon, tequila, gin, you name it. Total Wine & More is South Beach's Wine, Beer & Spirits Superstore Wonderland!!! The store has over 8,000 wines, over 3,000 spirits and wide selection of craft beer... Oh my! My husband and I love to going to this store because you will find everything and more than what you are looking for... They also have excellent prices hard to find in any other liquor store in South Beach... They also have a very easy and free 2-hour parking garage located in Fifth & Alton. This store has a daily tastings in addition to a Beer Growler Station, Cigar Humidor Room, and Private Tasting Room. The store also offers a good selection of mixers and mixology accessories and snacks. My husband and I also hosted a wine Party for 20 in their private room and it was amazing! The tasting included wines from various regions of Italy and it was very educational and really enjoyable. The class was taught by Patrick which is extremely knowledgeable and very funny. The private class is great for a group celebration. To book a private class you will have to book a few weeks in advance. The other classes are usually posted in the store. I definitely recommend this store to anyone in SOBE looking to stalk up their bar or looking to taking or hosting a wine class. Happy Happy Joy Joy!!! Total Wine for Girls and Boys!!! Today was the day that South Beach got our Toys R Us for adults! The one, the only, GRAND OPENING of Total Wine & More! It was everything I expected from this most amazing purveyor of adult beverages. This location is smaller than many of the others, but they still have a great selection. It is located in the 5th and Alton Shops, so the parking is easy (and free if you are in and out in under 2 hours!). They had advertised a variety of tastings commencing at 4pm, but one of the first things I encountered when I arrived at around 3pm was a wine table with five delicious (and *expensive for me*) wines. The very informative rep from the vineyard was happy to pour and discuss, so that was a really nice way to start the shopping experience! Then it was onward to the aisles! As I browsed the fantastical selections of spirits, wines and beers, every single employee smiled, said hello and asked if he or she could help in any way. Say what?! Am I truly in South Beach?! One other thing special thing to note is that they have a dedicated and high-tech tasting space towards the back of the store. I look forward to future tasting events there! I left with a smile and a cart full of beer, vodka and gin! The only thing that keeps this location from being a 5-star experience is that due to space limitations, the selection, while wonderfully curated, is not as extensive as other locations. Well, I don't live on the beach but I came here as they have so many tastings going on for the grand opening. It's a bit smaller than the other locations, as it's on SoBe, so I was disappointed with their beer singles selection. Overall they just don't have as big a selection as other locations, but definitely still wins hands down compare to other alcohol sellers on SoBe. Also, most products has shelf talkers which help you make your selection, as like all big box stores you may not get someone to help you. They have a wine tasting table, a beer tasting table, and all the way to the back, in what will likely be their classroom, they have five tables of wine tasting for grand opening event. Parking is easy as the building has a garage, and it's free for the first two hours. read more

Also because we bought a bottle of white wine room temp. They have this cool wine chiller. You put the bottle in this container with swirling cold water in it and it chills your wine for you!! From the outside and even once inside, this looks like a much smaller Total Wine than any of the other South Florida locations, which are typically large big-box standalone affairs. There's no discernible difference in the overall selection of beer, spirits and wine, though, so this leads me to believe that the goods are just compressed a bit. That was my biggest concern once I heard that Miami Beach was getting a Total Wine...I wondered where the space for one existed, and if it would be kind of a Total Wine Lite? Thankfully, it's not. It proffers all the same boozy pleasures you've come to expect from even the most giant of suburban T-Wines. Parking is a little annoying, since it's a Dadeland Station-style parking garage that serves several other big box retailers. It's tight and claustrophobic in there, and even if you try to park far away to give yourself some room, guaranteed, when you return to your car, you'll find that some idiot has parked way too close to you. Oh well, at least parking is free for up to 2 hours, which, for the Beach, is saying a lot. In particular, I also like that this location seems to keep a pretty stable selection of Fever Tree mixers in stock. That wasn't always the case with my "old" T-Wines, the Pinecrest and Kendall locations. There's an interesting little selection of cocktail bitters, too. Speaking of which, if you are a fellow Yelper who drew me for Secret Santa at the holiday party, and are reading my reviews to figure out what I might like....a nice bottle of interesting Bittermens cocktail bitters is available at Total Wine for under $20, and would make a fantastic Secret Santa gift......I'm just throwing that out there! read more

So about 2 months ago I started calling various wine stores to stock our wedding bar. I eventually landed on Total Wine & More South Beach and was put in touch with Kai. From our first conversation, I knew we were in good hands. Kai was knowledgeable and genuinely interested in helping my fiancé and I choose the right alcohol for our event. Yesterday, we finally got to meet Kai and he went above and beyond to walk us through finding the right pairings for our wedding menu. His wine knowledge is remarkable. He is a trained sommelier and has a terrific palate. We thoroughly enjoyed each wine he recommended and he kept them all within our price range. The store itself is also huge. We're planning the wedding from NYC, so the store size and selection is massive by comparison sake. There's also a cigar room, a tasting area and a blast chiller for those situations where you'd need to chill a bottle of white quickly. 6 minutes is how long it takes I believe. Overall, Kai could not have made the experience any more enjoyable. My only complaint is that he's ruined all other wine store visits outside of Total Wine & More South Beach due to his level of impeccable service that we'll now be comparing it to. Total Wine is just a few blocks from where I live. I am a wine enthusiast and since the opening of the store in South Beach I frequently come to buy wine and I sometimes do the wine classes too. Since I am always around, some employees even know me. We say hi. I feel welcome. It's been 3 years Total Wine is in Sobe. There is always someone to help me out when I need. Friends coming over? I go to Total Wine. Special dinner? Total Wine. Whenever I have something special I am happy to go. All the drinks from my wedding were total Wine. So here comes what happened today for my Total Disappointment with your customer service: I went to the store around 8pm, I grabbed the wine I wanted for my dinner. I go to the cashier to pay for it. The attendant (which I never saw before at this store Alton Road Miami Beach) asks for my ID and my credit card, I promptly give it to her. I know Total Wine has very strict policies about ID and how seriously they take it, so I make sure I bring my ID as well as my credit card at all times. She checks my ID, my credit card. All good, as usual. I am ready to pay. Then, suddenly I was introduced to a new rule: She then asks my husband's ID too He was not the one buying it. I did not know he did not have it with him, but since we are in a pandemic, he left his wallet at home so he doesn't need to sanitize it on the way back. This was new to us. After 3 years, during a pandemic, a new rule. He always comes with me. THEY NEVER ASKED HIS ID AT TOTAL WINE MIAMI BEACH. They never ASKED THE ID of anyone that accompanied me anywhere in thIs country. I am purchasing it, I am the one showing my ID. Nobody else. What rule is that? I don't really believe this rule exists. It is clear to me this was made up. This time I asked for the manager to clarify what this new rule was. 1 - I DO have my ID 2- the wine is for me 3- my husband happens to be accompanying me, so what? 4- I am 39 years old I work myself with customer service. When there is a new rule, we try our best to be kind and make people understand. This did not happen. Manager was hostile and rude. He was even showing he was not sorry for not letting me buy. Under NO circumstances my husband attempted to purchase anything in the store. Once you might think that's the reason why I left with nothing. I tried to be in touch with Total Wine to report the abuse of this 2 employees that were in charge of that shift, no one ever replied to my email. All they did was an automatic response saying they ID everyone trying to buy wine in their stores. THAT IS NOT WHAT HAPPENED! It was clear for me I was abused by these 2 employees. Maybe because of what we were wearing or how we were looking, I really don't know if there is any dress code to come to visit this place. I miss the time when I was lucky to cross paths with nice people at Total Wine. They are all gone and so am I!
