I'm a huge fan of Total Wine and have been to several locations in SoCal. Even though this one isn't near me, I came on a Saturday to attend a wine class. The store is spacious and well stocked. Everything is categorized, which makes it easy to find what you are looking for. However, the staff are all friendly and happy to assist if necessary. They also have a temperature controlled cigar room as well as accessories for your bar. The classroom was clean & spacious. Our teacher, Freddy, was fantastic! He was welcoming, entertaining, and provided a wealth of knowledge. We sampled several quality wines, and I picked up a few bottles for home. I'll definitely sign up for more classes and will stop in next time I'm in the area to pick up some essentials. *Private parking lot. read more

Good wine and everything feels like it will be just fine :) An instant favorite off my usually path, but ironically the same distance from my local LA Valley locations. Total Wine & More - Hollywood meets West Hollywood is on the cusp of WeHo off LA Brea Avenue & Santa Monica Blvd. It's got a great spacious shared parking lot with businesses like Chase Bank, AT&T and a couple others. Open from 9am to 10pm daily this Wine & More emporium has it all. And everything is super well laid out, fun spacious isles, good lighting, fun finds and tons of TWAM staff picks and favorites throughout. I got asked by a few great people on the floor if I need assistance and I'm beyond grateful for the warm customer service. Being my first time in, I wanted to explore every crevice from Sparkling to Spirits, Craft Brew to the Cold Stuff, Mixers to Minis, Cigars to Chocolates. And I did! And so should you, but know they have great staff to guide and support you. Planning an event? Need a keg (big game day coming up)? Cigar gift for bae? Rosé all day? T.W. know the way! Nearly 2 years later and this store is clearly still thriving in a really good way. Best deals in town in my honest opinion. Everyone I interacted with including Julissa in wine, was great. We went for the Marcado 28 tequila tasting and had a fabulous time. We would do this type of event with no hesitation. We did purchase the tequila. The staff here was extremely kind, customer focused and courteous. Located just north of La Brea & Santa Monica Blvd. The store has it own parking lot, which is a huge plus in this area of WeHo/Hollywood. This store is large and has a great selection across all varieties of liquor. The employees are very helpful and even provide suggestions on what will go with your tastes or would make a great gift. Everything is organized by type of liquor so you can see all the options in one section if you know what you want. This is a cavernous place with wall to wall liquor from all over the world. It's such a great pleasure that they opened in West Hollywood Los Angeles. The staff is well versed in anything liquor of course. They have wine tastings on certain days (though the schedule was confusing, they are still working out the kinks of establishing their new home) I even found Franciacorta which is the best sparkling wine from Italy. I feel like most stores that specialize in alcohol don't have much you can criticize it on besides cleanliness and customer service, because regardless of that type of alcohol head you are, there is something for just about everyone. To begin, parking is easy. Security at the front greeted. Establishment well stocked and clean. When it came to asking someone for help locating something, she had the most horrible attitude. It truly astounds me why people would chose to work in retail if they don't like customer service. Interacting with customers and providing assistance is the epitome of retail. Maybe she had an off day, but after the second question I had, I just preferred to use google to see where I can locate what I was looking for. At least google is nice. The girl at the cashier tho was incredible. She was kind, made a joke, kept the line moving. She was truly the saving grace to what I thought was horrible and miserable staffing. read more

I am 28 years old. My little sister is 18, lives with me. I walked in, filled my cart of items for myself who is well over drinking age. They refused to sell to me even though their website says I can purchase with her with me. Manager was rude and argumentative, saying the door policy was the issue. The door says I can make the purchase. He asked am I her guardian, to which I said she lives with me and I look after her but legally I cannot be a guardian to an 18 year old. The policy says if she is with me she can come inside. She only came in to use the restroom anyways, this was ridiculous and I will not be returning. read more

I was waiting very patiently for this location to open. I live in the area, and this is super close to me. I happened to receive one of their coupons in the mail which offered $40.00 off a total of $100.00 a great deal I thought. When I walked in, I was very impressed with the layout and selection. Seeing the classroom and tasting areas were especially exciting. I would love to take classes here. The selection of alcohol is the best that I've seen anywhere. I took my time and explored and picked out the $100.00 and was very happy to have $40.00 off. I have been back several times and each time the staff has been helpful, everyone from the floor staff to the registers. I will continue waiting patiently for their class schedule and look forward to that. Parking is plentiful and convenient as well. read more

This brand has been expanding in the LA area recently including one in Glendale and now this one in West Hollywood. Total Wine has become my favorite place to stock up on spirits due to their great prices and selection. The store on La Brea is enormous, and although I haven't explored it all, their selections of what I drink (vodka, tequila, mezcal, and Champagne) are excellent and well-priced. The staff is unfailingly polite and helpful, especially my guy Adrian who always takes care of me. And there's plenty of parking, a rarity in this neighborhood. read more

Total bait and switch. They sent multiple $40 off $100 coupons to my house so I was baited into trying their store. They don't tell you (except in the fine print) that you have to buy something ending in a 7. Such bait n switch nonsense. After spending thirty minutes picking out what I wanted I was told, "oh no, look at the fine print". A company that sends out fliers to locals that has $40 off $100 in large red big letters to get you through the door only to "fine print" you at the register will not earn my business, but repel it. Also, I just left this place. There was an employee on every isle, yet no one offered help. The prices at K and L are way better with much better customer service. Also, I've never been bamboozled by them either. read more

My least favorite Total Wines location. This location is fairly new, but it seems so cold to me. I just happened to be in the area after a hike, so thought I would stop by. No one greeted me when I walked in, and I had to flag someone down for help. I'm rarely in West Hollywood, but would avoid this location. The Culver City and Redondo locations are much better with great customer service. read more

I went into the store today to ask for something. Not only do the managers walk extremely slow to get the locked up bottles, they don't help the associates with customers which then makes the line long. Today the store manager Norka told me they didn't have an item. I went to the car and searched for the item locally and it showed this store was in stock. I went back in and had to insist that she search and she gave me some terrible excuse about morning stock checks. After i insisted several times she finally goes "let me check my computer". The same handheld computer device which sat in her hand the whole time. Guess what?!? Not only did they have the item .... They had a whole case. This is unacceptable for a store manager. Her job is to make sure numbers are good and customers are happy. I do not like laziness and incompetence. My biggest pet peeve as a business owner is people who sign up for jobs, they know the job description, and then they come to you peoples businesses and do lackluster work because they really carry no liability in someone else's business.
