Went for a bday date night. Had a great time and will definitely go back. Learned a lot about red wine and how to find a blend that I liked.

A really nice date experience! I came on a Sunday at 1 pm and there were 4 other people there so it was almost like a private class. Michael was super knowledgeable on blending so it was fun to just learn about wine basics as someone who's not knowledgeable at all. They are super generous with the amount of wine you get - it's way too much for me personally but a memorable time!

It was a happy accident finding this place and I'm mad I didn't know about it earlier! This place is super cute and well themed! Great date night spot wink wink gentlemen!!! We did the self guided which was a lot of fun acting like we knew wine but in reality, guessed all the wine wrong! We came on a trivia night which was a lot of fun and Devon (I believe that was his name) was such a funny and great host!

First - their wine blending classes are AMAZING. Their wine is great. Membership is totally worth the price. They plan community events and it's not far from our place which is a bonus! Definitely recommend hitting them up in LA and, if you're in Paso, they have a tasting room there too!

Just when you think you know something...BAM you learn more and realize you didn't as much as you thought. My friend gifted me with a red wine blending class and it's now etched in our favorite friendship activities. We arrived close to class time and were taken to the back teaching room. The class looks like it holds 10-12 people and there were 8 of us which was a perfect amount. We had such a good time with the group. We were given mini workbooks that provided details about the process and left room to make notes. We learned about a few varietals and how to blend the perfect red for you! We were even able to blend our own bottles. Even if you don't want to take the class, there's a small bar and a few tables in the front. Looked like a cute place to grab some glasses before dinner. We loved it and would go back in a heartbeat.

I signed up for the wine blending class as a gift for my sister ($55 per person + $45 for a wine bottle of your own blend to go). The class was awesome - taught by Jenna - who was funny, informative and super nice. There were about 15 people in the class, which was about 2 hours long. You first learn about some of the basics of wine, terminology, etc. You then get three single varietals and go through some exercises to learn about them (acidity, body, smell, etc). Then it's off to blending! They give up is couple suggestions and you can also try your own combinations. If you purchase the bottle to-go, you tell them your combination and that's what gets bottled foe you to take. You also can skip that part, the class on its own is still really fun. Overall, it was super fun! A lot of pairs were there that had received this class as a gift. A really fun activity for all wine lovers, whether you know nothing or everything about wine! Everyone was having a great time.

The experience was so much fun, and really informative. It felt like a great introduction to the world of wine making! Beyond that I left my sunglasses and they were incredible and mailed them to me since I live in Orange County. I am definitely going back and bringing friends!!!

My friend took my here for my birthday and we had so much fun learning about blending wines. We got to try several blends, and this is such a fun idea for a party. It was funny because this was a public class and all but four of us were from a birthday party and they were getting lit which was pretty funny. I could see this as a fun date night too.

Ask the Community - The Blending Lab Winery

Good morning.! I saw that you offered a chocolate and wine pairing event. I was wondering if you had a cheese or charcuterie with wine type of event available?

Hi Maurice, we do have some Charcuterie and Cheese Snack Packs available for purchase in the Tasting Room. We also host dedicated Cheese Events monthly with fresh cheeses, spreads and crackers. Check out our website or Instagram for upcoming events… Read more

Are there any options in the class to make white wine or rose or is it all reds?

At this time it is Reds but it may change in the future. We do offer a white wine on our tasting room menu with more wines to follow very soon.

The charcuterie boards here are perfection, do not sleep on it and be sure to savor the onion jam. The location has a spacious area filled with a variety of wine options. I picked a Bourgogne Chardonnay from France ($36). We came on a late Monday afternoon and, lucky for us, they have a bar special on Mondays: No corkage fee! They also have Happy Hour-- Monday to Friday from 3-6pm. The Chardonnay was divine! I would totally return and purchase another bottle. We also ordered a charcuterie board and took advantage of their happy hour special for $20 (pick two-- one cheese and one meat). We opted for the 'Humboldt Fog' Chèvre as our cheese option and the Bresaola for our meat option. Both were delicious, but the chèvre was truly exquisite. We shared one charcuterie board with five people and it was enough; however if you're on the hungry side, I suggest two charcuterie boards for five or six people. In addition to meat and cheese, it comes with crackers, some pickled veggies, onion jam, candied nuts, whole grain Dijon, and apple slices. On the left side of the venue you have your variety of wine options; on the right side, there's the bar and some tables, plus a small area with other snacks for purchase that pair nicely with wine or beer. They even sell the Torres truffle chips! My only complaint is the service, unfortunately. The lady at the cashier was super friendly, however the bar tender was not so welcoming. When he came over to our table to open our wine bottle, he didn't greet us, smile, or say anything. He took our bottle and opened it and then asked who was going to taste. Not sure if he thought we didn't speak English since we were speaking another language when he came to our table, but overall, we all noticed his attitude and thought it was rather unwelcoming. Because of this experience, I rate this place a 4/5, however, everything else was great!

Unfortunately, I think the vibe is completely off with this type of food, and I think it's hurting their customer base (I.e, there's a sports watching day, and live DJ?, but the food is definitely more for upscale vibes). I also didn't know they have a rotating menu with different chefs, so when I came in craving for something like steak frites and find out the don't have it even though their sample menu lists it on their website, it kind of throws my mood a little. Moreover, their wine list is not extensive considering it's a wine bar, and wine mentioned in their name :) Anyways I've digressed. With this special menu, I ordered the scallop tostada and maitake taco. The scallops were very fresh, and it was a very well balanced dish. I would totally order this again! The maitake mushroom was exploding with flavors, though I find the sauce a little too salty for my taste. If I came here just for food, I'd come back and try new things!

The menu is inviting with plenty of great options without being overwhelming. Less is more. But let's talk art (culinary, that is). The dishes certainly deserve main features. To start "the best Caesar salad in LA" and I quote which was certainly true. Grilled octopus charred on the inside and juicy at the center. Spicy pomodoro is perfectly al dente and a well-balanced sauce. But, my favorite-- the agnolotti! Wow, melt in your mouth! The flavor profiles of corn, crème fraiche, and old bay were delicious. My only wish -- larger serving of this (smallest pasta serving on the menu). To complete it, banana pudding tiramisu -- delicious too with a firm center and oozy outside. Atala was wonderful and very sweet. Recommendation: come with a group of at least 4 to try more on the menu -- the large plates (branzino and ribeye) looked excellent! Definitely a worthwhile visit.

We came on a Thursday night as a group of four and the place was pretty busy. From everything I've heard, Cento is one of the more popular pasta spots in LA right now, so I was excited to finally try it. We started with the radicchio salad which was delicious. Light, refreshing, and tangy, a great way to start the meal. For pasta, we ordered the Spicy Pomodoro, Sweet Corn Agnolotti, Broccoli Bucatini, and the Cavatelli Finocchio. Honestly, it was hard to pick a favorite because every single one was excellent. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, the sauces were flavorful, and each dish felt unique. My only complaint is that the portions are a little small. I understand they're meant for sharing, but to be honest I probably could have eaten all four by myself. At around $30 per plate, this definitely isn't a cheap meal. One thing that was a little disappointing was that it was my fiancée's birthday and I had noted it on the reservation. We noticed another table receiving what looked like a special birthday dessert, but nothing was mentioned for us. My fiancée didn't want me to ask about it, so we just let it go and ended up getting dessert elsewhere. Not a huge deal, but it was a bit of a letdown. That said, the food itself was absolutely outstanding. If you're a pasta lover, this place is definitely worth checking out.

I do feel slightly bad for the forty doctors who took over half of the patio for some kind of formal residency graduation party, only to sit next to four loud women who hadn't seen each other in months. Not sure how they ended up renting half of the patio of a popular restaurant (seems possible that Farmhouse Kitchen is at fault here), but they should probably have booked the whole space or gone somewhere else with their speeches and slideshow. Anyway, the restaurant was cute, a trendy West Adams Thai spot with Instagram-friendly decor (a lot of pink and fake flowers, a white horse statue and a neon sign saying, "Hello Gorgeous"). The patio felt like the place to be, charming and pleasant on a cool June night. Service was friendly and fast, maybe even too fast. I liked that our drinks came out quickly, but our food didn't have to hit the table all at once. The cocktails were fun, even if they leaned a little sweet and corny (there was one drink that came out in a giant light-up toy crown for no discernible reason). I liked the Trouble in Thailand, a spicy margarita with Smirnoff Spicy Tamarindo, Sabe Blanco tequila, tamarind shrub, citrus, agave, and fire tincture. One Night in Thailand was nice, too, a negroni variation with juniper berry-infused sake, Carpano Antica, Grassotti aperitif, aromatic bitters, orange, and rosemary. The food was solid, a definite A in most parts of the country, an A- just a few miles from Thai Town. The best thing was actually the pad Thai with shrimp, delicious and classic with thin rice noodles, egg, tamarind, bean sprouts, onion, crispy shallots, chives, peanuts, and good plump shrimp. The crispy branzino was another winner, a whole fried fish served with vegetables, cilantro, onion, tamarind sauce, and crispy shallot and garlic lime vinaigrette. Hat yai fried chicken was tasty, juicy Southern-style fried chicken thigh with turmeric, herbs, fried shallot, and cucumber salad, with sides of yellow potato curry, roti, and blue jasmine rice. The one thing we might have skipped was the crab fried rice, with jumbo lump crab meat, egg, onion, tomato, and cilantro, and a side of bone broth. Not bad, but nothing special, maybe a bit bland. We shared both the mango sticky rice and the Thai vacation for dessert, doubling up on sticky rice. I'd highly recommend this course of action, as both were delicious and pretty distinct from one another. The mango sticky rice was familiar and fantastic, with superbly sweet, ripe mango. The Thai vacation was a sundae of warm coconut sticky rice and ice cream, served in half a young coconut and sprinkled with peanuts and sesame seeds. Decadent without being heavy. If you're craving Thai food in or around West Adams, Farmhouse Kitchen has got the goods. Get the pad Thai and don't skip dessert.

Juliet is a French inspired Michelin new discovery restaurant in Culver City. Gorgeous interior with professional, courteous service. We shared oysters that were mostly Washington, but since we took the last ones they threw on some Baja ones too. Both types were excellent with a lovely salmon roe sauce. Entrees were shared and the lamb was excellent albeit the olive tapenade was too noticeable. The duck cigars (taquitos?) were the star and I could have happily devoured more of these. The risotto was excellent too. Wished there was a bread service but maybe there was a paid option that I missed. Wished the lamb had some accompaniments too.
