I initially called and she said the owner would get back to me. He never did so when I called back, she told me I had never called her before. I know I called her? I recognized her voice (which sounds like someone needs to switch to filtered cigarettes), and I have met the owner, Bob. I told her I was sure I had? And she yelled at me that I hadn't because she had looked me up on the call sheet. I looked in my call log on my phone. I had called them. She still insisted I hadn't. It was so weird. At that moment, I realized that I was arguing over the phone with a stranger, so I asked her if she wanted to clean my pool or not and she calmed down and said she did want our business so what did I want? Also they seem to have difficulty getting the bills in the mail. And when I have needed something extra the message is not passed on. So why the four star review? Is this just Yelp inflation? Nope. My pool guy, Trey, is the best. My pool is crystal clear. He takes care of everything and he even shows me what to do if I have any problems when he is not there. Trey is very thorough with the vacuum and skimmer and even showed me the right way to vacuum the pool so that if I needed to vacuum, I would not screw up the pump. He is always on time, except the one time he cane a day early because he had a doctor's appointment. If you can get past whatever is happening at the front desk there, you will be rewarded with a perfect pool.

No problem with 3. but 2. not so good: I was supposed to pay an extra $75 for "Green to Clean" treatment to deal with algae. No show on Friday. Appointment on Saturday. No show on Saturday, Text to ask if Sunday was OK, Yes, but what time? Three texts and phone calls later, no time ever suggested. At 5:48 PM Sunday, text, "I'm here to clean your pool". Yeah, well, the dogs were in the yard and I was having dinner with a friend. NOT OK. I called and texted repeatedly Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday. Finally I got a text on Thursday that they would be there that afternoon. Nope. Then Dave, the pool guy, called and started shouting at me accusing me of making things hard for them (!). I told him the service was no longer required and told him to have a bill sent to me, thanked him and hung up. HE CALLED ME BACK, STILL HOLLERING AT ME! Our daughter who is an architect, drew up a design for us and Sal's designer perfected our vision. Sal was always willing to give to give us his professional suggestions in areas we were not sure about. Everything from beginning to end went very smooth. His crew was very professional, efficient and always communicated with us. Sal's crew also landscaped our backyard with concrete designs and artificial turf. The landscaping turned out great and we have no complaints about with the work Backyard Pools did.
