I have nothing but wonderful things to say about Sam and his team! They do an excellent job, they're extremely reliable and friendly. As a matter of a fact, they even have called me when people have showed up at my house unannounced for deliveries and helped me out. And the real story here is why I switched to Quality Pool and Service Repair in the first place. The former company I worked with showed up on different days of the week, sometimes not at all. I'm pretty forgiving so I moved past that, as long as the job gets done, right? The final straw for me was when I came home at 8 PM after a long day at work and MY DOGS WERE IN THE STREET because the person who serviced the pool did not close my gate. I called, explained why I was upset and was simply told that it probably wasn't all their fault. I decided to end our agreement immediately. Anyway, I thought I could care for my own pool which then turned green and it pretty sad/pathetic. I called Sam, explained what happened and not only did he get my pool all tuned up, he also PROMISED me that they would show up on one day every week so I could lock my dogs in the house. Unprofessional, Sam didn't return calls, or emails, I have been with Sam for a few years, and his professionalism started to decline over the past year. He literally complained about a job that I was paying him for. This company is NO longer about quality or customer service but money. Avoid this company. I was paying $145 for FULL service weekly, and was told my pool take too long to clean (after storms...20min per my video footage). He called me this morning at 7:30am, said my pool was "shit" and he was canceling my services without any notification or conversation as to why, and didn't drop off my key. I didn't have a terrific experience with Quality. Sam Sr, and Sam Jr are nice guys, and I appreciate that, but the service wasn't amazing once I started to take an interest. They came by once a week and skimmed the top and backwashed the pool and filled the chlorine. Per our agreement they were supposed to be testing the water but they were not, and I found out the hard way. One Friday the day after they came to service our pool I put my hand in and the water felt scaly, and like it had WAY too many chemicals. I took out one of my little pool test strips and tested it and everything was WAY off the charts high. To double check I took the water in for testing. Yep, everything was sky high. I confronted Sam Jr and he was just full of excuses. Really all I really wanted to hear was "sorry we didn't check your levels." Clearly they weren't testing our chemicals otherwise they would have known. It would make sense that the chlorine would be high on Friday, the day after testing, but none of the other chemicals should have been that high. The Ph was off, the alkalinity was off, the calcium was off, now we have calcium deposits on the sides of our lining. Irritating. We stopped using them. read more

Our pool pump back flow valve was stuck. Quality Pool fixed it for less and a year later it works as good as new. These back flow valves tend to swell. I just backwashed my sand filter minutes ago and it slid up and down incredibly smooth. I don't know how they did it but it works great. Other pool companies have not been able to keep my back flow rubber valve from swelling and I normally cannot fully close the valve after a few months but it's working incredibly well. I began pool service with Sam at Quality Pool Service over a year ago. Initially, things were very good. A few months ago, I reduced service from weekly to every other week. I thought this entailed a visit by the tech to include a brush down of the pool every other week. I have a kreepy with a large leaf basket. Previously, it seemed that the leaf basket was emptied during the tech visit. NO more apparently.... :-) After being gone for three weeks, I returned to a pool that was a mess. My grandson, who lives at my house, said he had seen no pool service personnel stop by. The leaf catcher was packed and had not been emptied. Leaves were everywhere throughout the pool. The chemical floats were empty. My grandson has offered to empty the leaf catcher & check that all is well with the pool. After many years using Quality the last year (March-Dec 2022) the word Quality no longer exists. I had a new pump put in March 2022 and it did not work right from day one. Sam's cousin put it in and explained it was above his pay grade and Sam would come to fix it. For eight months (this is correct 8 months) Sam kept saying it was under warranty. I kept saying what good is warranty if on one comes to fix it. FINALLY after 8 months the new cleaning girl told me I had to call to have it fixed. It was not Sam's responsibility. Are we kidding? 8 months - no fix - my responsibility!! Not to also mention the fiasco with my creepy crawly thing. I'm not sure when COMMUNICATION became a thing of the past in this company but it sure has not existed for the past year with my pool. In frustration I had the new company throw out the $2300 pump and just get me one that works. The Tucson dump has a almost new pump still under warranty. This is without doubt the best pool service I have had in 27 years in Tucson. Sam came out exactly when he said and has been within minutes every week thereafter. I bought an Angie's list deal for full service once a week. He skims, vacuums, brushes tile line, back washes the filter, provides and maintains all chemicals. My realtor recommended Quality Pools for my vacation home. I used them for a few months with spotty communication. My management company noticed a problem with the auto fill Sam had placed to fill the pool. We reached out to Sam about the problem and he reassured us it was fine. The management company mentioned it again. We tried several texts, emails and telephone calls to reach Quality Pools. The neighbor noticed water pouring out of our backyard. Yikes. I felt like my call was an inconvenience. I would have liked to give them a try because the ratings online looked great. They didn't want to come out and discuss pool service or look at my pool because they prefer working with customers on a yearly basis. While I can understand this rationale, I had also needed evaluation of my equipment, pump, etc. as I will be replacing this equip this year.
