*Brow correction for my mom* I found Chloe on Yelp. I wanted to set up a consult for my mom while she was visiting California to have her brows corrected. The previous lady made one higher than the other (5 year back). 3/17/24 booked a last minute consult ointment with Chloe at 4pm. She email and texted me appointment details and exact photos of directions to get to her place for the day of. I went with my mom to make sure she felt comfortable expressing her wishes on brow look. Chloe was patient and though some revision she did not advise, she respected my moms desires. They both met in the middle to achieve the best look considering a previous brow tat was already there. I really liked how Chloe does not upsell just to get more money. If you don't need something, she just tells you it's not needed. I really appreciated this. After the brow drawing, she said to text her later if mom decided to proceed for Monday 2/19 @ 12pm. This was also nice that she did not rush us to make an appointment. After we got home, mom and I looked at her brows and decided it was a good look for her. I texted Chloe to confirm mom wanted to proceed. She was booked. Due to me working Monday, I could not come with mom. She was kid sitting for me so she had to bring my daughters with her. Chloe's daughter watched over my girls (per mom) and treated them with such kindness while my mom was getting her brows done. Mom said the entire process took 2 hours. Chloe took her time to numb, then work, then numb, check brows and finish up. Mom did not feel rushed and her end result was very nice. I got my eyebrows and lip blush done recently by Sophia. I was initially referred by a girlfriend to touch by Chloe. Wasn't sure if I wanted to go with Chloe or Sophia. I initially chose Sophia because I thought she's really pretty and probably has good aesthetic sense. I'm so glad I went with my gut. She is amazing! Sophia was also very patient with me. She really explained everything and followed up with me after my treatments. She's sweet too and made sure the discomfort of both procedures were minimized. Honestly, not as painful as Botox imo. I've had my eyebrows tattooed twice elsewhere and so far this was my best experience. She also made my lip stain look super natural. I'm not satisfied with her work. The point of getting my eyebrows done was so that I didn't have to do anything to them. I went five times for touch up in just a few months. I got nano blading and it literally faded within days. Chloe kept telling me it was my oily skin but I expected her to know how to work around that. I got my eyebrows microbladed by Chloe in January-February 2020. I had gotten them microbladed several years ago in Koreatown by Cindy Choe and those lasted a pretty long time. In that experience, they allowed the time in between touch ups to be longer. However, Chloe's touch ups must be done within a month after the first appointment. I decided to go with Chloe because she was closer and much cheaper than what Cindy, but maybe I should have just paid the price for better work. When you make your appointment, don't do it around your time of the month because it might hurt more or your face will be puffier. Making an appointment was easy enough. Chloe had a translator there who was really friendly and helpful. They left me in the room with numbing cream for "30 minutes" but it was much longer than that. It was too long because the numbing cream wore off halfway through the microblading and it started to hurt. I could feel the blade scraping into my skin. There was a mistake made on the bottom of my left brow that really bothered me for a while (see pic). Now it's faded enough to where I don't notice it, but that should never have happened. I noticed that after Chloe did my brows, the lines were not as defined as the first time I had them done with Cindy and the color in one faded much more on one side. I will get microshading done elsewhere since ombre brows seem to be more popular these days and work better if your skin is oilier. read more

I've gotten my brows tattooed 4 different times before (3x in Korea and once in Garden Grove) and Sophia is the first person that really nailed the design I wanted--the specific arch, length, width, color, etc. Sophia is very detailed and precise with the design measurements. They are very COVID safe (tested once a week) I'm still waiting for my touch up to heal, but wanted to post about them. They are very responsive and kind, especially when it comes to aftercare. If you schedule your appointment right before or on your period, be sure to take an Advil beforehand to prevent sensitivity. Otherwise, it was pretty painless. Bring reference photos for what you would like and they will work with you. Looking at my brows now, I might need another touch up and it's fading quickly. Overall, very good service! read more

I walked into the courtyard towards the last door on the left. As I opened the door I was instantly greeted with a warm welcome and found myself comforted by the pretty space. It was very calming. I was anxious because it was my first time ever doing anything to my face and I didn't know what to expect. I didn't have sparse eyebrows to begin with, but I was tired of drawing them in whenever I put makeup on. I texted Chloe a picture of my brows, asking if she thought microblading would be a good idea for me. She assured me they would look pretty and natural. I think Chloe puts in a lot of effort with each of her clients and I really appreciate that. My eyebrows before coming in was faded from a previously bad job. I was hoping for a better shape as well as a darker and more filled-in look. After the first session , I thought the eyebrows looked a little mismatched with one eyebrow larger and thicker than the other. I think there was a misunderstanding in which she thought that I wanted her to do my eyebrows exactly as I had previously drawn them on . But I definitely didn't want that because I'm not that great of making my eyebrows even. When I went in for my touchup, I decided to do the combo microblading and microshading aka the ombre look. One side ended up more curved on top and the other nice and straight. She said it was due to unrelaxed muscles when I opened my eyes and suggested botox to fix it. She did however attempt to erase the curvature after I complained though it left a light brown residual. Unfortunately, my brows did not heal well from the microshading so I asked for a free touch up to fix it since my eyebrows were patchy and the color made it look red and inflammed. She had accidentally overbooked and so I waited for 2 hours with the numbing cream on. When we started on my brows it was extremely painful since the lidocaine was most likely all used up in the 2 hrs (even tho the cream is still there the drug had been used up by the body). But after she put on more cream it was fine. This time, her assistant said Chloe had gotten better quality ink recently and my eyebrow color would most likely be much better. Chloe used just microblading this time and I kept my eyes open the entire time to hopefully ensure even eyebrows. I want bows that are even when I open my eyes rather than even ones one I'm relaxed and sleeping. Now that's it's all healed I quite like it! Next time I would elongate my brows a little since I usually do cat eye liner and it would be a better ratio longer. But Chloe's drawing technique is great with lines drawn very well. I would only suggest to ensure she understands that you want her to measure out your brows to make sure they are even and not just go off on what you draw on. read more

I have returned to Chloe a second time to have her update the color of my eyebrows. The first time, five years ago, I was so nervous, but after doing my research, I settled on Chloe. She took a lot of time to really look at my eyebrows to see how they worked; when my eyes were open and when they were closed (they were different). I also wanted microblading, which seems to be the fad, she instead suggested tattooing. I went with her suggestion and I have been very happy with the results. I have received many compliments for her work from so many people over the years She is very professional and while English is her second language we never had any miscommunication. I'm the biggest chicken you will ever meet. I'm afraid of the flu shot. When I smell the dentist office I shiver. I got microbladed and lived to tell about it. I always thought microblading eyebrows would be similar to the torture of death by a thousand cuts. Boy was I wrong. I had semi permanent eyebrows tattooed before and it was always extremely painful and I would have blood oozing out during the procedure. Here I felt nothing. It was actually sore after when I came home but during the procedure I didn't feel a thing! I had searched YouTube about microblading and saw many videos of the tattoo artist using multiple blades and no anesthesia. Here she uses a single blade and literally draws individual hair lines unto your brows. No blood! She's meticulous and constantly asks you if it's satisfactory. I couldn't be happier. She was completely honest during the consultation. She's informed me due to the grayish color from the previous procedure, I could not go any lighter in color and I would actually have to go darker if I wanted to see distinct lines. Logical sense. Depending on your skin type the color fades differently. Meaning some people show more gray undertones after first fade, some show more brown (I asked for dark brown). Also she mentioned I have oily skin and the color may not stay as long. I appreciated the info and I understand everything these days have outcomes that may not be perfect. TL;DR: I went to Chloe for about two years before switching over to ombré powder. She's definitely one very talented lady. I loved the way my eye brows look; the arches were the right high -- not to tall not to flat. I went to Chloe about two years (1 initial and 1 yearly touch up). All in all -- I deducted one star from my experience dude to lack of transparency to the possibility of scarring post microblading. After about a year post microblading, I noticed redness around my eyebrows which i thought was faded ink. When I went to another artist for ombré powdered, she told me that these redness was actually my scar tissue that never healed. She said these are pretty common in people who had done microblading more than once, where the blade fit was too deep and ended up scarring the tissue. So -- if anyone asked whether i'd go back to chloe? i'd say yes; I got compliments left and right on my eyebrows. I just wish I did my due diligence and make sure that she didn't cut too deep. read more

I give Chole a million stars!!!!!! So I've been to Cindy in LA 3x and her appointments are so ridiculous I wanted to find someone close and who is more accessible. Chole texted me back within an hour with availably & prices. The process: 1) eyebrow shape: I'm super picky and Chole is super patient. She didn't push a particular shape meaning creating an eyebrow shape she is familiar with. Although I was going to a Korean expert, I knew I didn't want the Korea straight eyebrow trend (I was secret hoping she didn't give me a pair of those suckers). I really wanted more of a American meets Thailand kinda eyebrow shape... long and arched. And that's exactly what I got! Love love love. 2) numb: Chole will check in with you to make sure you can tolerate the pain and numb you again if necessary 3) micro blading: Chole will micro-blade you in three separate sessions. Mirco-blade then tint. Repeat. Final thoughts: Since I've gone to both Chole and Cindy, I can honestly tell you Chole's work & care for her customer is far superior to Cindy. In fact, Chole did such a great job and I was Snapchating the final results, three of my girlfriends just called and booked their 3D microblading appointment! This is a one and a half year update review. So I went to chloe beginning of last year (2018) to get microblading done. I went to her because she was cheap and she was also near where I lived. Also, I went based on the reviews. She doesn't speak English, but luckily she had a translator so it was easy for me to let chloe know what I wanted. Both chloe and the translator were super nice. I'm not into the straight eyebrows; I love my brows arched. I feel like she's not as skilled as other microblading techs when it comes to arched brows. When she drew my brows, it looked good. But when she actually went in to microblade OMG my brows were clearly uneven. My left brow was thicker than my right and somehow my right brow had a little bit more of an arch then my left. I mean I get it; bad vision comes with old age but damn ajummah! Are you that blind? Luckily, my ink is finally fading so I'm hoping to "start over" with another tech. I would say for the price I paid her, I can't really complain. But I wont go to her anymore to do my brows because her work is just terrible. You get what you paid for. read more

Just went for my one year touch up and Chloe did not disappoint! She was able to take me 20 minutes earlier than my scheduled appointment and started immediately. She made sure I was comfortable especially because I needed a lot of new strokes put in and took about 30-40 min of actual microblading. Mine faded out after the initial session and touch up due to my lifestyle which is tons of sun in the summer, consistent facial exfoliation, and obviously time passed. I LOVE IT. I found Chloe through yelp. I liked the before/after photos from others. At $250 for the initial 1 hour and 30 minute appointment and $100 for the touch up appointment, she's competitively priced. The photos I've posted are after the initial appointment, and I just booked the touch up since everything I've seen/read about Microblading recommends it (lasts longer, looks better, etc). My eyebrows grew in patchy and asymmetrical before, which is why I wanted to get it done. I mainly wanted them to be symmetrical, and I think she did a great job. I was a tad concerned about them coming out too straight because a lot of the photos were of straight brows, but she was really conscientious of the shape and asked me what I wanted and if the stencil was okay multiple times. She was a bit of a perfectionist too, scrutinizing and redoing anything that wasn't 100% up to her standards, which is EXACTLY what I want when I get things like this done. Her assistant told me that she's spent 10 years doing this, and has had her own practice for four. She also mostly speaks Korean, and her lovely assistant translates anything that needs to be translated to make fully sure that your needs are being met. They use a numbing cream first, and I barely even felt the procedure. I have really sensitive skin too, and a really low pain tolerance. It felt like a close shave more than anything. Apparently I also have somewhat thin skin too, which I didn't know, so she was extra gentle and did three passes instead of two, which was really thoughtful and definitely above and beyond. She asked if anything hurt or stung often as well. I couldn't even really feel it because the numbing cream worked so well, but I thought that was really conscientious. They sent me a very comprehensive aftercare sheet and what to expect along with some aftercare gel packets. There's a Target next door that carries the waterproof bandaids they recommend, so it's in a great location since it's so easy to pick up the band aids. I also got some arnica homeopathic gel for when they start to heal at the Target. Overall, I'm thrilled with the experience and results. I was hesitant going in since it is permanent makeup that lasts around three years, but I'm really happy I chose such a great place. I can not recommend Touch by Chloe highly enough. A tip: Wash your hair/shave etc beforehand. I wash my hair once a week and didn't know You can't get your brows wet for a week after (hence the waterproof bandaids), and now I have to figure all that out. I also didn't know that vitamin e and multivitamins can thin blood and leave skin more prone to bruising and slower healing in some cases, so I'd recommend not taking multi vitamins or using vitamin e for a week before the appointment. read more
