He creates something out of the pile of ideas I send him and never disappoints. He curates a welcoming and relaxing environment and doesn't fail to keep his hand relatively light and the experience short. It's all your own preference, but I never feel as though I am alone through the process, he has the ability to make conversation with a wall or just be the wall. I have first-hand seen him interact with unexpected costumers and been touched by how he can kindly answer questions that might seem obvious to others. I can't wait to work with him again. I got both of my tragus pierced today but after the first one, I got very light headed and nauseous. We took a break and he made sure I had plenty of water and gummy lobsters to get my blood sugar back up. He explained to me exactly what was going on with my body and why I felt that way which in itself made me feel 10 times better. He didn't continue with the other ear until he knew for sure the unused adrenaline my body had produced and left over had passed. All the while people gathered at the door--but he didn't mind. He took his time, finished both ears, and made sure that I had enough time to recover. He showed me all the equipment he was using and took them straight out of the bag which was clearly labeled 'STERILIZED'. He's very skilled with the whole 'bedside manners' thing and will make you feel very prioritized and well-looked after. My procedure took 30 minutes (only because I was being such a big baby), but he is very quick and took care of the people before me within 15-20. Wait time isn't that bad if you get in early afternoon. But even if you do have to wait, it's totally worth it. No other piercing/tattoo place IMO is as educated, professional, and kind as this place or this man specifically. Totally worth the 40 minute drive :)

It's the second floor of a house, and you genuinely feel like you've been welcomed into a home. And then the artists...are spectacular in really every way. Everyone I have met has been so nice, so cool, and of course so skilled and talented. They take their work tremendously seriously and produce amazing results. However, going to Fortune Teller, it is clear that everyone there loves what they do. Upon walking in, I was greeted by one of the artists who was incredibly nice and checked me in while I waited for Doug to finish up. The establishment is incredibly clean and spacious. If you are looking for a new tattoo, I highly suggest Doug. He cares about the work that he does, and his artistry is amazing. He also is personable and makes the experience of getting a tattoo enjoyable and eases your mind. I would definitely come back to Fortune Teller in the future.
