Finished chair and footstool

I have a vintage 1960s Herman Miller office chair that belonged to my grandfather. The original vinyl was cracked and very dirty. I also had a few tiger pieces in need of a makeover. This shop is in my neighborhood and I wanted to keep it local. I met Dave at his shop and he showed me some great vinyl samples. I picked out a great vinyl that Dave felt would really compliment the chairs design and he was 100% spot on. I had a 1950 footstool that I had him upholster to match the chair. I am so thrilled with the quality of work. He even oiled the wood on the chair and it looks amazing!! All three pieces I brought to him were in rough shape and they all look like they are ready for a designer home. Highly recommend this shop!! Dave is warm and friendly ands genuinely seems to love what he does. I wish I had more pieces to have made over! Thank you, Dave!!!

Beautiful work! I had 5 dining chairs reupholstered and they look better than new. Also more comfortable. Incredible workmanship! Good deal on a remnant since I did not need much fabric. Will use again.

The chair, when refinished, a new seat built, and re-upholstered.

Over the years I've worked with many good upholsterers, but few have the natural eye and taste as the Estrada Brothers. I brought in a 30 year old wooden bridge table with a green leather top, along with the 2 chairs. The set was badly in need of renovation. With upholstery, it's the details that count. So often lesser workshops take shortcuts, and believe me, I've had a nightmare with one! But not here. The Estrada brothers are into structure. I specifically told the brothers I wanted the chair seats rebuilt the old school way (a lesser upholsterer had just slapped a piece of plywood in, and topped it off with a thin layer of foam). The brothers built new seat frames, installed Pirelli webbing, high density foam, and a layer of batting over it. The seats are now done correctly, and are comfortable. This is workmanship! The entire set was repainted, and the leather top redyed. The Estradas have some great small pieces of leather perfect for a small job like this. We chose cowhide, and the looks is elegant western. They were courteous, and warm, picked up and delivered the pieces. It was so well done, that I have no hesitation giving them 5 stars, which is pretty rare for me. This is a small workshop, and it's easy to miss, tucked away in a shopping center surrounded by churches and a restaurant. It's best to call before you go in. And remember --it's the workmanship that will have you coming back!

He was kind enough to retouch the wood and that detail really made them POP.

Highly recommend West Coast Seating and Upholstery! I had a Cal king headboard and bench that…read moreneeded to be reupholstered. The headboard's material was peeling and there were tears in the bench. I delivered both to the company's shop in Santa Ana. Both pieces were reupholstered as I waited. They have a variety of materials. I used an industrial vinyl for the headboard and leather (they had a scrap piece which fit perfectly!) for the bench. Each choice and reason for using one material vs another type was thoroughly explained so I felt comfortable with my choice. I also saw and understood why the original material on the headboard peeled, thus guiding my choice to the industrial vinyl (which is beautiful). I had the bench reupholstered a few years back. Upon removal of the original materials, it was found that two different colors of vinyl were used. There were also two different pieces of foam which were not glued properly and caused a dip to be created over time in the middle of the bench. Craftsmanship and materials were important for me on this project because I plan on keeping these pieces. I'm very happy with my experience, the value and price paid.

It looks like a sofa you would buy at Restoration Hardware. Very high end. Acram was very professional, has a great sense of design & did exactly what he promised me. Including pick up & delivery on time. In addition the price was very reasonable.
