The portions seemed on the smaller size for a platter that supposedly can feed 2-3 people but with our extra entrees, it was the perfect amount for us. The hummus was great with the warm pita, the meat was all flavorful, and the baklava was a great way to end the meal. The "salad" that comes with the Sultan Feast isn't really a salad but just a few cut up veggies. Overall, I felt bad for the 2 ladies running the front alone because they were very busy and they kept apologizing for the wait times. The food was great though and we would definitely order it again.

I experimented outside my usual comfort zone and ordered a sausage quesadilla which was delicious and almost more than I could eat. My friend said the men's room was "a complete mess" and needed a good cleaning. I never noticed any mention of a service charge for credit cards on the menu or any posting of this on the door and was shocked to find a 3.5% "cust. ser." charge on my bill after submitting my card for payment. It's easy to give this place a five star rating. It's clean and smells good, and the food was amazingly fresh and delicious. It's right in downtown Punta Gorda. But I am so pleased with was the generous portion. It's nice to get a turkey wrap with more than two slices of turkey. And having lived in Detroit where they have a great town in New York New Jersey where there's quick diners everywhere, I can tell you this place deserves it's five star rating. They recommended sitting at the bar which I did and I told the barmaid that I would be in a hurry. She said no problem and I had the yellow tail With some type of hollandaise sauce. Came here for an authentic Gyro since well it's a Greek place. Well dissatisfied is an understatement. The gas station down the street run by Indians has better Gyros. These ppl can barely make hot dogs. Save your money. Go next door to Italia or River City grill or even the dumpy Blue turtle is better. read more

On her way I'm going inside, a woman approached him rudely in a way that made him feel like he didn't belong there. She didn't greet him or anything. After he had already ordered his food and paid for it, he was sitting outside waiting , she approached him with an attitude and said "Do you need a menu or something, or are you just hanging out?" As if he wasn't supposed to be there. This was completely unnecessary and made him feel disrespected. I later called to speak with a manager about the situation. The woman who answered was unhelpful and unprofessional. She questioned who I was, refused to clearly identify herself at first, and would not let me speak to a manager. She even told me to come so she could meet me and I didn't understand that at all. She then hung up on me. When I called back, she ignored my call, but answered when I used a different phone. At that point, she said she would put me on hold so she could tell her side of the story to the manager first before letting me speak, which is not how customer concerns should be handled. Overall, while the food may be decent, the customer service was extremely poor and needs serious improvement. No customer should be made to feel uncomfortable or dismissed like this.
