I've had many cakes from here before and they have mostly been great. However, I had a very disappointing experience this time when I ordered my cake. I found a cake that I liked on their website and chose to ask them if it was available to order. I went in 5 days in advance to give them ample time. I was told that they weren't sure if they would be able to make that cake, so I put down a backup order just in case. I asked the guy who took my order if I should write down which cakes I wanted and he said "no, I'll remember". I called back a few days later and was informed that they weren't able to make the cake after all. When asked for a reason why, I was informed that they didn't have enough time to make it. Already disappointed, I ordered the other cake that I had picked out. Today, I went to pick up the cake and realized that they made the wrong one. They apologized for the mistake and basically blamed it on the employee I spoke with because she's new. Other than that, nothing else was done to rectify the problem. Getting this cake was more of a hassle and I'll probably think twice before ordering another cake from here again. read more

I've come here a less than a handful of times and I cannot tell you why I bother coming back. I'm not at all impressed. These buns are over priced and aren't amazing. Their pastries are reminiscent of the Chinese bakeries that have cream buns and egg tarts. The difference is I can get 3 buns at the Chinese bakery to 1 bun here. If it was 3 times as delicious I wouldn't complain, but they're really not much different. I've had one of their fried buns (curry croquette) which was wayyyyy too oily. I felt my arteries clogging with each bite and gave up because my old lady digestive tract was not having it. Give me my tums. I've not tried the fruit topped pastries, they look pretty but I saw some fruit flies flying in the display which turned me off. Their coffee matcha drink tasted watered down. The last time I went was mid-afternoon and there weren't a whole lot of options. I actually ended up leaving empty handed which was disappointing. I've just not had good experiences here. They have a reputation of not opening and closing store on time. I wanted to stop by and get some cake but they were close at least 10 minutes BEFORE actual closing time. I get it you can't wait to get the hell out, but closing before closing hour is really bad for business. Not trustworthy and a waste of my time. I wouldn't trust lazy people to make a good cake. Great place for a snack and a quick drink. Lots of tables to sit and eat as well as well placed outlets for those who want to study. Their drinks are good and they have a large variety of snacks that you can grab. When you walk in, grab a serving tray and tongs that they have starting at the beginning and you can go around the islands of snacks that are covered by a display case that protects the food and pick and choose which snacks you want. They almost always have some sort of samples for you to try too. After you choose your snacks you bring it up to the front and you can order drinks. Smoothies, bubble tea, shaved ice, icecream, coffee, tea... you name it!! Their cakes displayed by the cash register looks so appetizing!! The only thing that is bugging me right now, is the place they hand out the drinks is blocked by two water dispensers and you have to reach over them to get your order. Tour Les Jours is a Korean cafe complete with culture defining pastry creations. The decor is modern but relaxing allowing you to settle into the unique atmosphere and enjoy your treats. The cafe portion offers your standard Americano and and latte variants as well as the newer craze of bubble tea; tapioca pearls optional. If you're more the type to enjoy something frozen then you'll be delighted to find that they also offer milkshakes. I tried the milk bread, curry bread, and green tea bread respectively. I thoroughly enjoyed each of them. The milk bread was truly reminiscent of fresh cream, and added a luscious nature to the bread in the form of a gooey center. The curry bread had the fixings of a reduced green curry within the confines of its crust, making it seem like a small meal within itself due to its savory flavor and heft. I saved the green tea bread for my dessert like treat, but by this time I had become thirsty, and ordered a chocolate milkshake. The milkshake was sadly more like a slushy than the creamy and decadent version many other ice cream shops have to offer for a lesser price. Finally, the green tea bread was something unexpected. Being an avid fan of green tea in all its forms, this offered a familiar flavor but with the accents of cream cheese and blueberry bringing it to another level. When we walked in and looked at the enormous selection it was difficult not to buy everything !! We purchased an assortment of items spending $60.00. To go. We sat in the car and decided we must try one of the pastrys. OMG !!! Sitting in the car in the parking lot we just had to eat a few more. Couldn't resist !! The food is okay but they really need to re evaluate their employees. I went yesterday and was curious about certain bubble teas and neither of them wanted to tell me about one of them. They were like "ugh, you wanna tell her?" I just wanted to know if it was sweet or just get an idea of what it tasted like but jeeze they acted like I asked them to perform some complex task. It was my first time my husband and I went to here for a dinner. It was amazing. Their food and service are great. My husband ordered a lot of dishes. He said "Wow! the food is awesome!". I went in here today for my first time to check it out. I was greeted at the door and given a tray with tongs for items in the store. The store was very clean and has a relaxing atmosphere. The baked goods looked delicious. They have assorted bread loafs, savory and sweet pastries. I did not buy anything for me (surprising because I just had a horrible lunch down the road) but I purchased a ham and cheese roll for my husband (which looked delicious). Their prices are very reasonable 1.75 + for treats and around 4.00 for breads. They also have smoothies, coffee, tea and cakes and desert rolls ($9-30). It was our first visit to Tous Les Jours. It was too bad that they didn't have soy milk, so we went with the almond milk option for one of our coffee drinks. Then we learned that they could not serve brewed coffee since it was only available in the morning. They also ran out of red bean buns (1 left) in mid-afternoon because they only made them available once a day. As we'd thought by this time, they couldn't just sell us a scoop of ice cream, but we decided against ordering the shaved ice item to just get the ice cream for our nephews. At least the ambiance was nice, and the pastries we were able to get were good. We'd just have to adjust our expectations if we were to ever return for another visit. read more

This place is amazing!! I am drinking a delicious Lychee Boba tea as I type this. Boba tea has large tapioca balls in the bottom of the drink. You use a straw that has a larger than normal hole to be able to have the tapioca with the drink. The drink is sweet and slushie like..which I find to be really good. Now on to the food...it's beautiful. Not only does everything look great..it tastes wonderful. I had a milk bun. They are individually wrapped. It was divine. A true milk flavor filling flecked with vanilla beans was inside. It was light..not too heavy. The bread was not too sweet. I would buy it again. I recommend buying two..as I was sorry I only bought one. The fruit tarts were very tasty. The kimchi "sandwiches" were surprisingly alright. They were somewhat spicy. While they were good, they were my least favorite of all that I ordered. Definitely a savory item..not sweet. read more

Tous les Jour is a South Korean based-bakery/café franchise. It is right next to Han's supermarket and Secret Garden. Today was their grand opening day. They have an assortment of options ranging from traditional croissants to croquettes, an Asian favorite. The inside is beautifully laid out in simple elegance. The baked goods were extremely fresh (samples a plenty) and everyone was very friendly. I got one of their danishs, ham and cheese pastries, and a regular croquette with milk tea latte with syrup. All of which was excellent. I think it will be an especial treat to those whom have never tried Asian pastries. Overall, I would highly recommend this place for everyone who wants to experienced baked Asian goods. PS. Another bakery but with more Chinese flair would be in the Asian supermarket that recently opened up. read more

I love the concept of a place to grab a coffee and pastry to pass the time. The modern bright decor of place feels welcoming, along with the rows of glossy pastries. I had to take a few laps around the pastries to decide what I wanted. We ended up getting a pain au chocolat, crispy almond pastry, and a green tea macaroon. The pastries were airy and light. I also got a ice green tea latte, which I think was the best thing I got there. It is blended, so no green power stuck to the bottom of the cup. It was flavorful and not too sweet. I've seen some advertising and write ups about this new bakery chain, and in particular a certain pastry made with whip cream filling caught my eye. Picked up four different pastries to take home, including the above pastry, a savory donut and two other items. The store was very clean, which is a plus considering it is self serve. The store was also well stocked for a late Sunday morning. I also like you pick up a tray and tongs on the way in to hold your pastries, which they then package at the counter. I like this method, it prevents a line from getting too long as the staff individually serve customers picking out pastries behind glass, and it gives you lots of time to browse, especially since many of the items are not familiar to American bakeries. Everything was delicious in respect to its description and tasted fresh. These are pastries, but they are not super sweet, which I think allows the flavor of the pastry to really shine. Prices ranged from 1.50-3.75 per item, and everything was clearly marked. The only downsides is that they list calories on the items. When I'm shopping for baked goods I'd rather be kept in the dark about what I'm eating! I think the other downside is the location: I hope it's successful enough here they can open in other areas of the city. I think a place liked this would thrive in Fayetteville, downtown, and especially on Marshall Street on the SU Campus. read more

I loved this place, when I visited for the first time last week. The prices for the bread and pastries are fair. If I was a little more wealthy then I would have boughten all of the cake rolls! Green tea bread wasnt what I was expecting either, it was a nice surprise, extra things!! Honestly I dont like how some of the things are cold, I would love to eat them warm, but they are still delicious.
