Tous Les Jours is the best! I cannot miss it when I am in Syracuse. It has the cutest little pastries and cakes, as well as delightful drinks and mouth-watering bingsoo. I recommend their strawberry bingsoo, and strawberry cream soboro. Their sausage pastries are very good as well! I have always had a lovely experience with staff and the interior is always clean and maintained. The food always tastes fresh and delicious. Two words: TRY EVERYTHING! I barely left and already planning a second and third trip back for milk bread loaves. If you love Korean baked goods with a little French influence this Shoppe won't disappoint. Yes, it's a chain bakery Shoppe but I don't feel as though that takes away from the quality at all. All items are now individually wrapped and sealed for a sanitary and safer shopping experience. Tongs and trays are available as soon as you enter for convenience. It's been years since I've visited a Tous Les Jours, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a location in Syracuse. I know it's a chain, but I've never been able to browse inside one of the locations in the bigger cities, i.e., NYC, LA, without it being a fight or flight inducing experience. So when I entered this bakery, I was amazed at how cute it and everything inside it is. It was clean, bright, well-displayed, and well-organized. Each baked good was individually packaged and cute. At $4.50, it's probably one of the most expensive bubble teas that exist in Syracuse. Also, when I saw them make it, I didn't actually see any "tea" go into it. One word of advice... GO!!! It is so refreshing to finally have a place like this in Syracuse - this is a French bakery with Asian flair... you can find traditional French pastries like croissants and fruit tarts, or get a little more adventurous and try something like a sweet pumpkin donut or curry bun with potatoes (and other stuff) inside. This place is very inexpensive, considering all the pastries are freshly baked, and the staff is very sweet and helpful. You can ask them to make the bubble teas "slushy", so they are more like a Frappucino. I can't get enough of this place and wish it much success! Friends We went on the 30th to pick up a cake. The lady that was working the till was extremely rude and had a very bad attitude. We chose the chestnut cake.. and ooh boy. The cake was easy 1 week old. The sponge was stale and the cream on top hard as nails - it reminded me of wood glue. The nuts around it were mushy and stale as well. It had no flavor. It was absolutely disgusting. It reminded me of the 5 bucks sheet cakes you can buy from Walmart. Oh did I mention that the cake was 32 bucks? Which is an OK price for a really good and fresh cake.. but for a cake of the quality that this specific Tour Les Jours location sells? LOL no. All in all, yeh I wouldn't buy cakes from there. Flaky, buttery pastries. Rich, delectable cakes. And oh, their boba tea is delightful! I highly recommend their kimchi croquette, their cream cheese pastry, and their fluffy, sugary pastry doughnut. The sweet pumpkin doughnut is not your typical doughtnut- it has a very satisfying, intense chew to it. I was a little unsure with the first bite, but by the end, I found I had enjoyed it immensely. The staff have been universally friendly and kind. Tous Les Jours is always nice and clean, as well. Another happy accident. I've never known of this place but I was doing a U turn on Erie Blvd and saw it. What a fabulous place. Although I've seen places with larger selections, I haven't seen quality like this anywhere in Syracuse. They have sweet and savoury snacks. Exotic breads. Probably the place I always go to for macaroons in Syracuse. My absolute favorite is the pistachio. While I have tried the caramel, coffee, lemon and green tea, I always keep going back for the pistachio. In addition I do love their wide variety of Korean pastries. It is the only bakery in the area to serve them. Mind you Korean pastries tend to be on the non-sweet side so beware if you're thinking of trying them. I have had some of my American friend complain about how they aren't as savory as others. I have also tried their croquettes and their apple pastries. Sometimes if you're lucky, they do give out samples of their pastries. Everything has been fresh and delicious so far. They also offer bubble tea and patbingsu. While I haven't tried either of them I do hope to return and try them out. The lay out of the bakery is interesting. As you enter you have to pick a tray and a wax paper tray cover and metal tongs (to help you gather your loot of baked goods). You can peruse the shelves and gather your baked good. Some are individually wrapped while others they will wrap in separate baggies at the counter for you. The location is convenient to the Korean restaurant, store, and karaoke place so you can conveniently do your Asian food grocery shopping, eat a meal, sing some songs and hop on over for dessert. The parking lot has tons of space! So you won't be fighting over spaces with other patrons. Hours are great too for a bakery! read more

I've tried to give this location multiple chances but each time I go, I feel like I'm paying for overpriced mediocre pastries and most of the pastries just don't hit the mark for me. I've been to other TLJ chain locations and it seems like they have better baked goods - I don't get sick or get an odd after-taste like I do with this chain. I like the melon cake and the morning bread with cream. I've tried the curry croquette and kimchi croquette and it didn't sit well with me. The Cinnabon bread was meh. The macarons and the cake slices they sell up front are mediocre at best. I really am trying to like this place because it's one of the few Asian bakeries in town but I don't think I'll ever come back after this last trip. Indeed, there are pastries, cakes and breads galore presented very attractively in a self serve environment. What is the primary difference between this Korean bakery and the French, Italian, German etc...style bakeries that Americans are most accustomed and comfortable?The products are generally lighter, less sweet and use some ingredients which one may not associate with your morning donut and coffee routine. It's time to break your routine ! Explore light flaky pastries with bean curd or curry or kimchi or eggs or hot dogs !! Want something more familiar yet still prepared in a different fashion, then try their cheese or cream or fruit filled delights. I have only touched the tip of the iceberg regarding their offerings. They have coffee cappuccino, espresso, bubble tea, macaroons, shaved ice with fruit. Everything is smartly displayed, clean and well illuminated. Their tasteful use of wooden accented shelves and display cases is warm and gives the customer a great view of all the baked goods. Generally, each display has a small identification cad which elucidates the name, ingredients, and calories of each tempting item. As mentioned, it is self service. After entering, grab a tray, line it with the accompanying wax paper, grab a metal tong and select your items at your leisure. To pay,or to get coffee or other beverage, proceed to the counter and then decide whether you want to eat in at one of their tables in the dining area or take it to go. This afternoon, there were plenty of customers seated at the tables. There was a nice, lively atmosphere filled with pleasant sounding conversation and laughter. Wi-Fi is free and a private parking lot offers plenty of space. If you don't like this Korean bakery, try some in nearby Queens, NY, Ft. Lee, NJ or Toronto, Canada. Never even knew this place existed. Happend to find it by suprise while heading to breuggers bagels. Having been to France, this bakery caught my eye and I stopped inside. The pastries are authentically French and some have an Asian twist to them like the croquettes I ate which were amaaaazing! So delicious! So if you want an authentic French patisserie with an Asian twist this is your spot! The food was very delicious, the vibe is chill and relaxed, yet is family friendly with children here as well and college students. The prices are great too. I only paid $12.34 for 3 pastries and a drink. Most pastries were between $2-3, so definitely not overpriced. Only downside is there are not many places to sit. Second: prices are actually decent for this area and be quality of baked goods third: it's not your typical bakery- they have a variety of goods filled with kim Chee, curry, red bean etc. step out of your comfort zone and try it!! I give this place a 4 ONLY because the lack of outlets are a deterrent for me to come here (I usually come to coffee shops and places like this to get work done). Should really be a 4.5 or 4.9. The pastries are incredible. I've never seen a combination work so well like the Asian/French that's here. Especially in terms of bread! BREAD! I've actually been putting of this review for sometime because sometimes I get lazy like that (don't judge!) but I've been coming here literally since opening weekend and the only time I've walked in and just left is cause of not having a place to charge my laptop. I haven't had much here coffee-wise, but I like the bubble tea a lot and is usually my drink of choice when I come here!
