    Pain au chocolat

Voted one of the top 10 croissants in 2023 so we had to try it out since we were already in the area! My bf tried the pain au chocolat and I had their croissant - it had flakey layers on the outside and was very light and airy, but personally it felt like something was missing. It's worth trying and I enjoyed the croissant, but I wouldn't make a special trip to come here.

    Smoked salmon sandwich and croissant.

Arrived in Paris late in the afternoon and grabbed some sandwiches and a salad from this local Boulangerie based on a recommendation. Not a lot to pick from since it was the end of the day. We also didn't know to ask to heat up the sandwiches which probably would have made it much better but the sandwiches were still pretty good.

    - Gluttony Expedition - Croissant: mmm. It's good, but not too crazy about it. Cheese tart: light in texture and sweetness. Not bad! - Conqueror's Deduction - The best croissant? I had better ones in Italy.. Croissants in Paris tend to be airy, soft, not too flaky unlike ones in US and other countries. It was ok.

Apparently the pain d'épices is what they're known for, but I didn't pick up a slice this time around!

I was in the area shopping and popped in for a takeaway croissant, tartelette au citron and a café express. The tartelette was fab, but the croissant was the star of the show! Crisp exterior and beautiful, beautiful folds. So delicious and I received excellent service, too! A gem of a bakery in a sea of many!

I was on the hunt for the best tasting Croissant in Paris, and on my last day I found it. Their placements in croissant competitions thru the last years are proudly displayed in the window. This place has been in co to up's operation since 1857 and I can tell you from my tasting Tout Autour is la meilluere. The flaking, stretch of inside when pulling off a piece, moist inside and the butter, oh the butter flavor comes thru so good. Perfection.

We stopped in based on a YouTube video by Devour Tours, and we're glad we went! We got an almond croissant and it was amazing! The almond version had this wonderful crispy crust and had the most natural almond flavor. My mom bought a raspberry tart and she adored it. The crust was perfect and the freshness of the raspberries were at its peak. Would return!

4.1 the stars is ridiculous! This place is it five stars all the way, how do I know? I just finished "The Great Croissant Hunt"! The French Bastards Cédric Grolet Opera La Maison d'Isabelle Le Boulanger de la Tour Stohrer Angelina's LAURENT DUCHÊNE Sain Boulangerie Boris Lumé Boulangerie & Mamiche. I can say without a doubt Tout Autour du Pain IS THE BEST CROISSANT IN ALL OF PARIS! Also, try the almond croissant!

THE BEST CROISSANT!!!! It has won numerous awards and rightfully so. The visible layers have the perfect crispness on the outside and once you bite into it you can feel the buttery fluffy airiness that occupies the interior. I'm in heaven.

We made a trek from our hotel to try this bakery out. There were two people ahead of us and the staff moved quickly. We ordered a regular croissant and an almond croissant. Were they delicious? Yes. Were they worth the 40 minutes total of travel time? No. The regular croissant was buttery and flaky but we've had equally delicious ones. I would recommend trying this place if you're in the neighborhood but perhaps skip it if you have to travel a long way.

Tiny and cramped inside, but wait your turn. It's worth it!

I am a bread monster. I love bread so much. I can polish off a baguette (or even two) in one sitting, especially in the bread capital that is Paris. I stopped at this picturesque little boulangerie while exploring the Marais district. It was among the best decisions of my life! This is a very small bakery but they have a ton of tasty options. Absolutely zero English is spoken, so pull out those translation books or get ready to point. I got a traditional baguette (only buy those, they are the best you can get in France) and it changed my life. I'm a foodie and I've consumed all manner of foodstuffs all over the world. This baguette was in my Top 5 best things I have ever eaten. Go here. Get bread. Your tummy will forever thank you.

One of my favorite boulangeries in Paris. Located in Le Marais, it's a couple of blocks away from Rue des Francs-Bourgeois. The shop is small and the pastries are of amazing quality. The texture of the croissant is exactly how I liked it. Will definitely go back!

We walked 25 mins from our hotel to this bakery to try their infamous croissant. As we walked in, the smell of butter and pastries just rose from the kitchen. We ordered one croissant to try and that was it. Their croissant is so worth the try. It's not flaky like most croissants; they're soft, moist, and buttery. It dissolves in your mouth after each bite. For about 1 euro, these are the best morning pastries in Paris.

Another great boulangerie. This place is slightly larger than the one down the street with a…read moreslightly wider selection. It gets a cheaper rating but I thought the prices were very comparable to the other boulangeries in the neighborhood.Again they had great croissants (I tried them at every boulangerie we visited) and their large macaron "sandwiches" were also delicious (although not my MOST favorite of the ones we tried in Paris). This place was also just a few steps from our apartment so we visited it a lot as well. None of the women that served us during the week spoke English but again, you don't need much in a boulangerie. The service was always friendly and efficient. Often this place was busy but service was quick. No outdoor seating, and they were open until 8pm which was awesome. Later in the day you'll find that pastries and bread are not as fresh but even though we got macaron "sandwiches" at 7pm and they seemed a little damp from the fresh fruit in them, the taste was delicious. The outer shells of the macarons were slightly tough but the overall texture wasn't bad. the berries (we tried frambriose and fraise, or raspberry and strawberry) were incredibly fresh and tasty. I'm sure if we had purchased them earlier in the day they would have been even better. We also had the coffee eclairs and they were amazing!!! I don't care that much for eclairs as I do no like the type of bread used for them, but these were good enough that I'd get them again. The filling was rich and the coffee taste was outstanding.
