Over the past few months, I've tried to overlook how my years of loyalty were suddenly unfamiliar, that I had to provide my name/number, that my preferences needed to be restated, that longstanding operating methods had changed. I overlooked the change in service - but appreciated that I could now use a credit card. But then the cleaning chemicals changed; my clothes suddenly had a foul odor. The care in handling of my garments declined, and it was clear that steps were removed from the former Norgetown way. I wasn't ready to let them tailor my clothes as Sue had until they earned my trust again, alas they won't get that chance. Today, after unpacking my recent cleaning, I discovered that my favorite pair of pants that Sue had cleaned for quite some time had suddenly shrunk in length (and nope, I'm not taller or heavier!); they look absurd now - and they simply can't be replaced. Clearly Sue had used a different method, and now my signature pants are no more. They were expensive, but now I know they were priceless. I'm heartbroken and angry. I had also recently requested an attempt be made to remove a spot on my blazer - they marked it, but missed it; I was ultimately able to remove it myself, so that left me disappointed in their service and attention to detail. Other pants were suddenly filled with static in a way that they never were after cleaning previously, and now they all cling to my leg in an unsightly way. Ugh! And my clothes still reek of this new chemical. Disgusting. With kindness I wish this new staff the best of luck as they find their way and build trust with new customers, but I'm never going back. One random day was because I needed my down comforters during winter dry clean so I could put them away until the following winter period. And this was the only dry cleaners in the area that would take the down comforter. I had originally tried some of the smaller Ma and Pa shops and they actually got mad at me for bringing a down comforter. What I do like about this place is the turnaround time on Cleaning the text messages to remind you that your pick up is ready and that there is a no hassle no argument on the fees. In fact, the fees and pricing are totally transparent, which is fantastic. What makes this location special are the ladies who are working here no matter what day and time I show up here. They are a group of super friendly, hard-working women and I don't know if they get enough credit, but I sure hope they do.

Under the original ownership, the service was consistently excellent. After a change in ownership, the quality became inconsistent but somewhat acceptable until more serious issues began to occur. On one occasion, I brought in a men's coat for dry cleaning. It was returned to me in the same condition: not cleaned at all and still visibly wrinkled inside and out, indicating that even basic finishing/pressing had not been performed. I immediately on the spot raised this issue with Mercedes and she did not like that, immediately she's confrontational, lies, changes the story and gets mad when you prove your point. I had also specifically requested that the buttons be covered to prevent damage, and that request was not followed. While she offered to redo the work (and pick up the coat in 2 days), this was not a practical solution at the time, as the coat was needed that same evening and the following morning for travel. This left me paying for a service that was not performed as expected. On a later visits, I brought in several men's shirts; the results were acceptable but not at the level I previously experienced. Most concerning, during my most recent visit with a men's suit, I was told by one of the women, that they would no longer do business with me, without any explanation. At the same time, I continue to receive promotional emails and marketing communications from them, which is confusing and unprofessional given that I was refused service and they closed my account. Overall, this has been a very unpleasant experience, failure to perform contracted services, failure to follow specific customer instructions, inadequate quality control, and inconsistent and arbitrary customer service practices.

There was a worker at the desk to take in laundry and another one was cleaning the lint out of the dryers. It was amazing to see. So much lint. It was like watching Dr Pimple Popper (which I've never done BTW). The high capacity dryers practically dried everything in 10 minutes. It would have been an acceptable level of dryness from my home dryer, but I felt rich and splurged another .25 for another 10 minutes. So easy with the app!
