I love this spot! I came for Wednesday night run club and met some awesome people. Such a welcoming community and a great spot to hang out. The 2 mile looop was all residential so I didn't have to wait for any streetlights or traffic. The brewery is on the smaller side but has great outdoor seating and a back room for rental as well. Good selection of beers plus a nice offering of reasonably priced bottles of wine that you can purchase for there or to go. I got Pen Dragon Sauv Blanc and was tempted by the B Cooks food truck but able to resist (this time!) I would absolutely return, especially if I can make it for the run club again. I decided to look for a new brewery experience that was dog friendly and Edge City came up. We loaded up our 2 mutts and headed out. It's a little difficult to spot from the parking lot, since it's in the back corner, but well worth seeking out. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. The beer was tasty. The atmosphere was very nice. There's inside seating at tables and lounge chairs. There's outside seating at tables and benches. Overall, it was an A+ experience. We were looking for a place to wait and my wife could get some work done, we fell upon Edge City. What a find!! When you first walk in the decor is great. A lot of soft colors and light enters from the big glass windows. Also a lot of plants that my wife loved. The bartenders Will and Anna were the best. They took time to explain the beers and talk about what you like along with giving you samples. I had a flight with Thanks Ma, City Lights, For The Homies and Old Post. I enjoyed them all. Great spot! We came late on a Sat night and sat outside on the patio. It's a decent sized space both inside and outside. Super clean, bright and new. I had a hazy IPA called Scratchy Records.....it was solid. In fact, I took a crowler home :) Lots of people grabbed pizza's from the place nearby. What an easy going atmosphere with TV if you are someone who is looking for a place to sit and watch TV or Catch your fav team. The outdoor area is where we ended up and a sculpture graces the area with a nice sitting area (Do not take your beer to it) the outdoor seating is just in a perfect spot to catch the sun but with options if you do not want full sun. I am not the beer drinker but the wife is and she loved their IPA's and they have options for us non-beer drinkers. It is clean and modern feel and Hawthornes Pizza right across the lot, so get a pizza and come back and enjoy your beer, took about 12 mins for the pizza to be cooked. The employee's are very friendly, sort of got that Cheer's feel when you walk in. The wife liked it and so did I, Happy Wife, Happy Life! read more

Once again I found myself visiting a Charlotte brewery I have not yet tried! Naysayers will say there are too many but the residents of the up and coming MoRa neighborhood I'm sure are quite happy to have local options now. The brewery itself is a bit hidden at first glance. It is located at the back of a shopping center. Inside you will find bright lights some comfortable places to sit and friendly enthusiastic service happy to let you try and sample any of their beers or make personal recommendations. I sampled their west coast Pilsner which was quite hoppy for a Pilsner but I enjoyed it and I also tried their blueberry muffin sour which was a great treat on a nice Friday evening. Outside there is an outdoor area with plenty of picnic benches. The vibe is laid back and suburban, the beer is solid, overall this is a great neighborhood brewery and if you are in the area or just looking to try a new brewery I would recommend stopping in here. read more

Super cute brewery near the Oakhurst area! A friend and I checked out this brewery on a Thursday afternoon (right when they opened). Parking was shared with the other spaces in the plaza, but we didn't have any issue parking. The inside and outside spaces were large and plenty of seating options were available. They had a decent selection of beers and a cooler for non-alcoholic options (mostly sodas). The place started to fill up around 5pm, but was still comfortable. I need to get back for a pop up market or 3rd Thursdays live music! Would love to see this place open earlier on certain days during the week to hang out during lunch time! read more

Great place if you are local. They have space for kids to run around and parents to relax and have a drink. They don't have their own food from what I could tell but they do host food trucks frequently plus if you wanted dinner you could go to Hawthorne's either sit down or takeout and then grab a drink at edge. This brewery was probably the closest one to me, plus it's one of the newer ones I have yet to try. Inside the brewery was aesthetically pleasing. Reminded me of a greenhouse with all the plants and the color scheme really gave the interior a vibrant pop. The beer list was pretty decent. Good selection to go around. The #SquadGoals is the only sour aside of what they may have on their guest tap list. The taste was a hint of tart and easy to drink. A pretty good sour. The Day by Day was a Belgian Wheat style brew. It's different than your regular Belgian Wheat style beers. This definitely had a citrus zest added to it but a little hint of sour too. Overall it was delicious Nice brewery with some room inside and plenty of room outside. They do host some events there so check them out on Facebook. Also they don't serve food, but do have menus from Hawthorne's Pizza which is a minute walk to the building next door. Would recommend! read more

The opening of this brewery brought a little more light into the world... a little more happiness... a little more excitement...and a little more hope!! This brewery opened in the middle of a pandemic... Pushing back there soft/grand opening, but opening for growler and merchandise sales! The brewery is beautiful... small, quaint and chic inside! There is also a patio area outside That comes along with a mural and art sculpture that is pleasing to the eyes. The music/ambience they had going was spot on. I can't wait to come back with others and not have to be 6 feet apart from people and just enjoy the space. As far as the beer it was delicious, from what I tried. I went with two extremes and did the hazy IPA and the sour. They were both palatable and we're gone within 24 hours! I will definitely be going back next week to grab some other brews on the menu, so stay tuned! In addition they were selling gift cards and merchandise... All of the merchandise I saw from hats two glasses were awesome! Love their branding -- very sleek modern aged. The staff was very friendly and seemed very energetic and happy to see everyone in their space. With it being a difficult time right now, it's always nice to see the extra smiles and kindness. I don't think it's a front and feel like it will be on going even after the pandemic when we are all gathered in their space regularly! There was so much excitement and happiness from the city around this new brewery opening despite all the circumstances that they had unexpected crowds the first 3 days! They ran out of growlers and quickly had to improvise to keep slinging beers (they went with large mason jars). They are a true story of success in a not so great time in society. However the underdog prevailed and shined through during a dark time. They have truly given me hope that we will see our small businesses survive and thrive after the pandemic is over! First time visiting ECB with a bestie and literally raining outside. What an awesome spot and the decor I absolutely loved. It felt so earthly, clean, eclectic and artsy. Unfortunately it was raining outside so we were only able to enjoy the patio area for about 5 mins so my excuse to comeback. The rain actually did me a favor since it gave me a chance to appreciate the inside mural and decor. I'm not a huge beer drinker but exceptions are made during football season. However I tend to like hefeweizen's so I ordered 2 flavors so my bestie and I could sample them. Both were good however I enjoyed his better sorry I don't recall the name.
