I have been going to Dr. Su for my eye exams and all my lens needs. She is extremely knowledgeable, patient and detailed. If you're looking for a new optometrist I would definitely recommend Dr. Su, she's amazing. I last went in for an updated eye exam as I was getting headaches from my old prescription. We did the usually eye tests but Dr. Su took the time to explain the results afterwards. It was very insightful to understand how my prescriptions were calculated and cool see my eye balls magnified. Ultimately Dr Su helped me pick out the right prescription for my astigmatism and my headaches disappeared thereafter. Her team also helped explain my insurance plan and pick what was in my budget. This review is long overdue, but in short, Dr. Lin is an excellent optometrist and I visit annually to get my prescription updated. I was Dr. Lin's patient back when they were in the small plaza across from Atlantic Square. The original location and the current location are about the same distance from my house, however I prefer the parking situation at the original location. I understand they moved to expand the office space which is wonderful to see because Dr. Lin is amazing. He is patient, gentle, and personable. His office had the necessary equipment to capture images of the shadow in my vision from a few years ago. Dr. Lin remained calm, examined my images, and gave me recommendations for several ophthalmologists. His knowledge and presence made me feel at ease. For the past few couple of years, I started seeing Dr. Su instead of Dr. Lin. Dr. Su is just as knowledgeable and patient as Dr. Lin. She recommended I keep my current prescription since my vision is stable and I work on computers daily. Things to note: Scheduling appointments are easy to do over the phone. My eye exams come with a $20 copay + $39 for imaging through my insurance. They accept payment through Zelle, cash, or card with a 3% transaction fee. They provide free WiFi because cellphone reception is spotty in this area. Selection of glasses frames are limited, but you're free to take your prescription to Costco or other locations to get your frames. Wonderful experience taking my daughter for her eye exam. The doctor was extremely patient and kind. Scheduling the appointment was a breeze and an appointment was available within the same week. The directions lead you to the back entrance, which isn't open to enter. We parked in the back (very limited parking in the back) and luckily an employee was walking in and unlocked it. I can't say enough about Dr. Lin's practice! I saw Dr. Lin a few years ago, and decided to go back to him for my annual eye exam. I was out of contact lenses, and asked if they could fit me in asap--the office was kind enough to squeeze me in today! I was taken in to the exam room right away, and we reviewed my medications, and I was asked if I was experiencing any symptoms/eye issues, etc. Then I went over to take the Glaucoma test, the Visual Field test, and a few other tests. Then I met with Dr. Lin, who performed the Visual Acuity test, the Slit-Lamp test, and a few other comprehensive tests which were appropriate for my recent symptoms. Dr. Lin was incredibly patient with me--we reviewed the results of the computerized test results, and he explained the results of each test. I was not rushed, and Dr. Lin made sure to answer my questions. I am so impressed by Dr. Lin. His office has state of the art testing equipment, and they also have a nice selection of glasses. I am so happy that I have decided to return to Dr. Lin. I highly recommend his office, and the staff are wonderful! I've been coming to Dr. Lin for over ten years now and It's been a great experience. They always squeeze me in when I need last minute appointments because I suffer from a lot of eye issues due to my allergies. I feel over the years he has heard what I needed and provided positive recommendations ! I appreciate he explains things in detail and he is very patient with any questions I have. If he notices any changes, he gives advice on preventive measures and takes notes on certain areas to pay attention to at the next visit. His entire staff is welcoming and courteous. My husband and I, have never had an issue on our visits. He has been our Optometrist for 5+ years or more. Not even sure. If we have any questions, we can trust the staff to be knowledgeable and precise. No cut corners or mediocre here. He can be quite busy on weekends. Appointments in advance are highly suggested. Made an appointment online, got a confirmation phone call and followed up by an email/text reminder. They are definitely practicing safety awareness during the pandemic. They check your temperature before providing any services and the machines are all disinfected after each patient. I really appreciate Dr. Lin's soft spoken and humorous personality. It was my first time here at Dennis Lin Optometry and I have nothing but absolute praise for this place! The staff were polite and they were careful in guiding me to where I needed to be and if I had any questions they made sure I was answered, even when there were clearly a lot of other duties they had to do multi-tasked. I went to Dr. Lin twice, both times medical: 1) a tiny debris went into my eye during a windstorm with excruciating pain, didn't get out until the next morning, and eye was terribly irritated. Went to Dr. Lin because he was close to work just to have it checked out. He was so detailed and meticulous during the exam, even took pictures of my eyeball to show the numerous scratches the debris made due to me rubbing. Gave me prescription to prevent infections and reassured me that the eyeball heals itself within 72 hours. 2) Woke up with a puffy and red lid and went to Dr. Lin again. When he saw my eye, he knew that it was a plugged duct, but still thoroughly examined my eye. Told me to use warm wash cloth to help losen the duct and that if it doesn't clear up, then he will check again. Luckily, it cleared up. After these 2 positive experiences, we took my 4 year-old to Dr. Lin as a second opinion. Again, Dr. Lin was not only patient and meticulous, he was great with my son! I felt that his diagnosis was so much more thorough than the pediatric ophthalmologist that we went to. It made more sense, and Dr. Lin took the time to talk and explain to us. Three words that describe Dr. Lin: patient, meticulous, thorough. That's what I look for in any doctor. His staff was also terrific! They were kind and patient as well. I didn't even need to print out the new patient forms! Simply completed online, emailed back, and the staff printed the forms out for me! When we got there, everything was ready to go. Highly recommend. Plus, COVID compliant. *Note: only thing that bothered me was the parking... There is a large parking structure, but the parking lot itself near the businesses is usually packed and very busy. A suggestion would be go in the early morning or right after lunch. read more

Very bad experience with their services. I called them for an appointment. The first receptionist asked me some questions and she said she needed to check my insurance; then, she put me on hold. I have been waited for them almost 30 minutes, but nobody took care of my phone anymore. I had to hand up the phone and called them back again. Another receptionist picked up my call and asked me the same questions again. I told her another receptionist was taking care of me and asked her if she could help to ask the previous receptionist about my case. She said their 5 receptionists were busy and she could help me. I said if she could find the first receptionist and asked if the first receptionist already verified my insurance; then, I didn't need to wait for another 30 minus. She just ignored my request and continued to ask my information. I don't want to repeat my information again, again (who knows if she put me on hold and never get me back again). I told her I disappointed with their service and I would leave. She said "Sounds good". Hahaa..., they are happy their patient is leaving!!! (Are they such busy? Don't like to keep their patients.). This is probably the best optometrist that I have ever been to. They have a very affordable selection of glasses; they have glasses in three prices ranges. Very nice and friendly staff, they educate you through out the while process. Meaning, they'll tell you what each machine does and what its for. Oh and Dr. Lin!? Mann, really nice guy same thing, explains the whole process. The really cool thing about Dr. Lin is that he pretty much explains the whole process in Layman's terms. Why didn't I switch to this doctor earlier? I'd been going to Linden Optometry for more than 10 years but recently I switched because of yelp. Thank you yelp for helping me find this doctor. I called this place to make an appointment for my eye exam. I got in on that day without waiting. I asked over the phone for contact lenses pricing. They called me back with the pricing and patiently gave me the breakdown. My eye exam was fast. Filling out the paperwork was fast too. Christine helped me with some of the eye exams then the doctor took over. Doctor Lin gave me free contact samples so I could compare and decide which one was good for me. He gave me time to call back and ordered the contacts over the phone. The office followed up with me and told me that my contacts are not in stock and to stop by their office if I needed more contacts right now.
