1 Star -- Extremely Unprofessional and Disorganized I had an appointment scheduled for 11:30 AM and was told my car would be done by 6 PM at the absolute latest. This was a simple job -- new tires and rims. There was zero communication all day. I called four times, and no one answered the phone. When I showed up at 5:50 PM, ten minutes before closing, my car wasn't even touched. They told me they would "stay until it was done." At 7:30 PM I finally got a text saying it was ready. I drove back over -- only to be told it actually wasn't done and would be another 30-45 minutes. I said absolutely not, especially because I had my child waiting in the car. Magically, they were suddenly able to finish it in five minutes. The manager was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. No apology, no solution, no attempt to make it right until I pushed back. It was clear they were taking walk-ins over scheduled appointments, which is why nothing was done on time. If you value your time, communication, or basic customer service, I would look elsewhere. This experience was unacceptable from start to finish. read more

Even with a scheduled appointment they want my car for the day to rotate my tires and to check a tire for a leak! First, everyone is very friendly and willing to help and to suggest tires that suit your vehicle and budget. They are a five star organization. Second, Heather, the store manager, is extremely customer service oriented. Recently, she has assisted me with snow tires and all weather tires for 2 vehicles. She is empathic to budgets, service requirements and appointments. The only comment that I have is that is best to call the store directly (rather than the call center) because the store staff are much more aligned (no pun) to the activity in the store and more willing to provide excellent customer service. read more

Caveat Emptor! My wife stopped in to get her right rear tire checked for a possible slow leak (she purchased four new tires for her Ford Edge at this location about 3 months ago). So they put the spare on and checked the tire and told her it couldn't be fixed because a nail was in the tire. She called me (I was at home) and I asked where the nail was. She said she did t know. I asked to speak to the tech and the tech told me the mail was 'too close to the sidewall to fix.' Not having seen it, but being a tad suspicious, I said ok. Andre the tech told me they didn't have the tire in stock and they had to order it. So I told my wife on the way home to stop at a local shop and show them the tire and ask if it could be fixed. Sure enough, Tue guys at the local shop asked her who had told her it couldn't be fixed. The tire is now fixed and no new tire was required. So my advice is to have some kind of idea what can and can't be fixed on a tire issue or seek out a second opinion if someone tells you you need a new tire. Normally, unless a puncture is on the sidewalk, a puncture can easily be plugged. Caveat Emptor! read more

I purchased a new car that came with all season tires and living in northern New England I use studded tires in the Winter. The tire store where I used to buy my tires closed when the owner retired. Because of their advertised promises I made an appointment for the following week to purchase 4 studded winters. When I arrived I was told there would be a 2 hour wait and the tires hadn't been studded yet wasting my whole morning. Then although my car had less than 900 miles on it they charged me for "sensor reconditioning" on the tire valves and when I questioned it I was told it was policy every time they changed the tires. If they needed replacing or reconditioning Toyota would have done it on the warranty. A Town Fair employee remarked "We still dealing with that when I complained about a 2 hour wait after making an appointment. I will not deal with a shop like this twice. read more

Terrible. I went to rotate my tires today from four new tires being put on by this shop. They over torqued AND cross-treaded all the bolt on my Lexus. They broke a wheel lock, that now will not come off. When purchasing the tires the manager was ranting around the shop angry and yelling at all the employees and making an unnecessary and uncomfortable scene. They tried to charge me for valve stems they never replaced. That was bad enough. Now knowing I need new studs and nuts on my car, I had to write this. I would avoid this Town Fair Tire at at all costs. Go to a professional tire shop. read more

So I recently made the mistake of a private purchase for a boat. I decided I wanted to get new tires for the trailer as they had looked worn. TFT has held the set of tires for me for about three weeks. The weather was bad today so I decided to get the tires done on the trailer for the boat. They were able to get me in the same day. This was a challenging job as the boat was still on the trailer. The guys took extreme care and caution. Upon removing the lug nuts it was quickly discovered that the previous owner hadn't done any maintenance or really took care of the trailer. In fact, the previous owner cut the brake lines and removed the brakes from the system! The studs for the wheels were in very bad shape! As they removed the wheels many of the studs were so worn they are either stripping out or snapping. Fortunately this location is next to an auto parts store that had the studs in stock! I didn't get the technicians name that did the work - they spent a lot of time fixing many of the bad or broken studs. Which I don't think they normally do. This tech used one of his friends tools to get the job done. They also gave me a few references of trailer dealers I could call to see about getting the breaks fixed. I ended up tipping the one tech that did the work as they didn't charge me anything for the work. I only paid for the tires. They turned a negative situation into such a positive! Very impressed - this team is a perfect example of what customer service should be. They went over and above to take care of my situation and did everything they possibly could to help. What was impressive was to see them truly try and help me. These days this type of service is more the exception than the rule. Thank you ~ read more

Not a fan of places with senselessly stupid policies. I damaged my tire and had to have it replaced. They refused to change the tire because I didnt buy it there. Companies with such retarded policies shouldnt be in business. Delight the customer, change the tire and explain you carry that tire as well and maybe next time the customer will get the tire from you as you did such a good job. Go next door to the Midas and have them do the job instead. .... you can even bring your own tire! read more

I bought tires and the front end alignment on 12/14. The tires shake at low and high speeds. The car now pulls to the right which it did not do before I went. I have been buying tires at this location since 2011. Twice a year I coordinate visits with my travels to NH just to stop here. Each time, the service has been nothing but exceptional. No one has ever tried to oversell me a product. Every interaction is not only professional, but the people here really care. Whenever I spend a few minutes in the store, I overhear some employee trying to help out a customer and work within their budget. Yes, tire service takes time (really not sure what some of these reviewers expect lol--"but I made an appointment!" lol). There is shopping and food options in the area and I've never waited more than two hours or so. read more

I got new tires here. They tried to charge me for an alignment they did not do, and when I got my bill back, there was a $30 charge for TPMS sensor reconditioning, despite the fact that my car is 20 years old and does not have TPMS sensors. When I asked about this, I was told it was actually a charge for new valve stems and told me this was necessary to change tires over (simply not true) but when I looked at the valve stems, they were the same mismatched valve stems I had when I dropped my car off. Their price on snow tires for my 2002 Ford 150 beat competitors by about $30, but I what sold me were the free extras, especially a free front wheel alignment which I suspected my truck needed. If only they'd delivered on their promised service, but they didn't. I got an appointment for three days later, was told over the phone it would take about an hour and a half. I arrived ten minutes early for my appointment, but waited in line for 20 minutes before I was seen, they only had one person at the front desk doing intake so the line moved quite slowly. He told me it would take about ninety minutes, maybe a bit longer, which is what I expected, so that was fine. In fact it eventually took over two and a half hours from checking in, so a total time spent there of three hours. I finally got my car thirty minutes after their closing time. I asked the mechanic how the alignment had been in my truck, and he looked surprised, checked the slip and told me they hadn't done the alignment. I was assured by the guy at the desk I could return for my free alignment. I live 45 minutes away, and don't look forward to spending another afternoon waiting for them to finally get to my truck to do the work which should have been done when they mounted my new tires. Their tire price is good, but they're clearly understaffed and overwhelmed by work. If you've got all the time in the world and have nothing better to do they're a good place to get tires, but otherwise I would recommend somewhere else. read more

Good people, prompt and they always work with you. I have gone here a bunch of times and never had and issue. They have a bathroom and Wifi although i feel like about 5 minutes you having tire breathe for the rest of the day. Some of the younger guys seem a little snarky but they are young and work in a tire warehouse. Set of lug nuts will cost you $50, if you get a flat on a tire that you bought from Townfair Tire and they cant fix it they will replace it. If they can fix it its free, without paying for the warranty like the other tire places in town. My best advice would be if you can, wait some where else while your car is being worked on . Almost instant headache in their waiting area, as much as i do enjoy getting some work done and not bothering other people to give me a ride. Dr Phil seems to be playing on the TV all day to calm your nerves or get you really upset. Mornings and lunch times are more busy, drive in around 2-3 PM and there is no one there sometimes. read more

I usually use a local tire shop but they don't carry the ones my husband wanted for my vehicle. So I decided to use town fair. I'm highly dissatisfied. They said that my car would be ready by 545. So I arranged a ride there and it hadn't even been taken into the garage yet. Mind you it's a Friday night and They close at 6. Just very unprofessional in my opinion and I will never use them again. Install was smooth and the hard working employees in the garage worked overtime to get my car done after hours! Ive always gone to TFT. I went back because two tires I had put on was losing air and they said it was due to rust on the rim when they put it on originally and didn't clean off properly. After they cleaned it and put the tire on I experienced shaking, so had to come all the way back so they could balance the tires. I told them I was interested in getting two new tires on the back and I purchased and they put them on. I was experiencing shaking once again, so I had to come all the way back just for to balance my tires which should have already been done. I wasted so much gas and time with this ordeal makes me not want to come back to this location. read more

At 7:42 we received a text informing us that work had just begun on our car. And we are still waiting... Seriously this is the worst service I have ever received! I am a repeat customer as I purchased a complete set of tires within the last year, I needed winter tires so I made an appointment to get a complete set of winter tires. I went to drop my car off the night before as like many people I work during the day. Upon arrival at the store : I did not see a drop off box for after hours. The bays were open and technicians were still working. so I asked for help. They brought me to the front of the store where they stated Jason was working. I asked Jason if I could drop off my keys as I had an appointment in the morning. Was told no I would have to return. First reason was there was no place to store car inside ; it would have to be outside which I understood before my arrival at the store. Then he stated that the store closed at 6 and since it was 7 ; he couldn't help me and finally he said he would not have a paper trail so that was it. I was in disbelief that he would not let me drop off my keys and instructed me I would have to come back.. how hard is it to write my name on a piece of paper. I felt that I was treated very rudely and I will take my business elsewhere.
