Outside food and service! They know how to cook and they don't disappoint!!! Besides my mom's biscuit and gravy, they have no problem making it right up there with my mom's! Made from scratch everything on breakfast items!!!!! We highly recommend y'all make it a priority to make sure that when you get a chance to eat it there! Awesome stuff and staff!

Bacon, egg, and cheese on toast

Need a quick hearty breakfast in Belle Chasse? This spot is it. I work on the Naval Base and there aren't many food options on the way in to work (before 5:30am). I walked in and there was a gentleman ahead of me ordering donuts. After the cashier helped him she took my order and then went to the kitchen to make it. I ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich on toast. Within 6-7 minutes she was walking back out of the kitchen while closing a box as she said "bacon, egg and cheese on toast? That'll be $4 sweetheart!" It was fast! I believe I was In and out the restaurant in 10 minutes! Now the sandwich... the toast was perfectly buttered, the eggs firm but fluffy, the cheese melted perfectly and the bacon had that equal ratio of crunch and tenderness. I've been depriving my body of great food by stopping at State oil or Racetrack for their breakfast sandwiches. I'll be here every morning that time allows! Note: You can't call ahead (as I've tried but no one answers the phone) but the service is fast and efficient. Thanks Town View Café for my amazing food experience, looking forward to having the same sandwich tomorrow!

Quick, simple local & good. Eggs, biscuits, egg sandwiches & waffles. Not "fast food" just good food fast. Fresh donuts. Simple food & simple review on a busy morning.

I love this place. It is super clean. Picture an old school diner, super tiny with a couple booths and a row of genuine stools lining a counter. You sit down, are greeted with the smell of fresh coffee and donuts and a "Good morning or afternoon", and you sit back and relax. You over hear old men tell lies and old ladies reminisce about the good ole days. You can watch middle aged people rush in for coffee looking harried and walk out with a smile and a hot fresh cup in their hands. In the morning, you can see elementary school kids come in and press their little hands on the donut counter choosing their morning treasure with glittery eyes and their little squeaky voices, looking up at parents for approval to add that one more donut hole. If you are expecting a pretentious, overpriced dining experience here, then don't bother. The food here is fresh, simple and fairly priced comfort food. It comes out hot and fresh in a reasonable amount of time. Sure, it is not the most updated and trendy place, but I feel confident in the quality of the food and the cleanliness of the cooking area. The most comforting part is the atmosphere. As soon as you plop down you are included, one of the regulars. If you can't decide what you want there is always someone willing to help with suggestions. Let me say that the steak sandwich is a winner as are all of the donuts and muffins I have had there. My favorite is the sausage egg and cheese biscuit with my eggs over easy....mmmmm. The staff is super sweet. Some of them are more friendly than others, but everyone greets you with a smile, and tries hard to get your order right. I have never had them mess up an order or treat me with anything but kindness. I suppose this is why I stop here no less than 3 times most weeks on my way to work. In the amount of time, I would spend sitting in my car at a drive thru, I can be in and out with hot fresh food and a smile on my face.

great donuts and service but saw something this morning that i didn't think i would ever see! NO DONUTS! so disappointed as i drove 10 miles just for these donuts. guess next time i will just blow the phone up until they answer (because they wouldn't answer this morning either!) if i'm ever in the mood for donuts again.

The food is very cheap and doesn't taste bad at all. The donuts are decent as well. The workers are very sweet and welcoming.

First off, that honey butta hot chicken sandwich is so delicious. The spice and sweet and the butta is so rich and leaves a long lasting impression. That is the bite you'll be thinking about and returning for. But don't sleep on the donuts either! Normally I'm not huge on donuts but that lil peanut butta cup donut with the whipped peanut mouse and chocolate ganache...yeah ima need that. It's perfectly balanced with the bitter chocolate ganache, and the light mouse. Obviously, after you're eating all this, you're gonna need something to wash it down. They have an excellent selection of coffee and teas, I enjoyed their chai latte, which wasn't too sweet for my pallet. After I thought I couldn't eat anymore, the chicory ice cream spoke to me so I had to answer. Stopping here made for a perfect day of indulgence than walking up and down magazine Street and shopping. The staff here is so nice too! They let us come hang out back here after we were done shopping and needed to rest for a bit. Which was nice because this place has a decent amount of seating and a little patio in the back and some seats out front. I would absolutely recommend this place to anybody. Who's in town in New Orleans!

Dough Nguyener's Bakery -- 4…read more Dough Nguyener's really introduced me and my son to the flavors of ube and pandan... and I still can't believe I went my whole life without them. Like where have I been?! We are forever grateful for that alone. As someone who already loves Vietnamese culture through food here in New Orleans, this place just hits. Vietnamese coffee is a staple for me--not even for energy, but for the flavor. If you know, you know... that bold, strong, chicory-meets-condensed-milk moment. It's rich, it's cultural, it's intentional. And when you start adding things like pandan cold foam? Simple, but it speaks volumes about the influence and beauty of the Vietnamese community here. I respect it, deeply. Now let's talk about that Croffle... a croissant-waffle situation. I went with the Chantilly and berries because... you already know, I'm gonna choose what feels like home every time. The cream was smooth, the fruit was fresh, everything worked. My only thing--personally--it was a little heavy on the almonds for me. Still good, just my preference. We also had The American--eggs, bacon, French ham, hand-cut fries, garlic aioli, and a baguette. I shared it with my son and made my own little sandwich moment with it. Used the aioli as a base, layered the eggs, bacon, and ham... and I feel like that's exactly what it was meant for. Solid, simple, and filling. I've tried a few other things too like the bánh mì and donuts. The bánh mì was good, donuts were okay... not my go-to for that. But that frozen cocktail? Listen... it was TOO good. Took it to a festival with me and between that drink and that sun, I slept the whole festival away lol. Overall, I'll definitely be back. I still want to try more from the kitchen--especially that chicken everybody keeps talking about. This is a great spot for early weekend brunch, late evening studying, or weekday coffee runs. Not too small, not too big. Beautiful lighting. A really good addition to Gretna.
