    Affogato
    Olivia A.

The staff is very friendly. I tried an Affogato which was delightful. I couldn't pass up the chicken biscuit, and I'm glad I didn't. The chicken was perfectly crispy with juicy meat inside, while the biscuit was buttery, fluffy, and sturdy enough to hold everything together. The sauce added just the right amount of flavor without overpowering it. Simple, satisfying, and definitely something I'd order again.

Took a couple of years sabbatical from here as we thought the quality had begun to dwindle. But we decided today to go back and see if things had improved. I'm happy to say yes they seemed to have everything in order. We purchased a couple of kolaches and they did not disappoint. The service was very pleasant and [[HIGHLIGHT]]always loved the decors simple open plan. It gives off a welcoming vibe and you can even watch everything being prepared behind the counter.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Very good donuts and cinammon rolls. Ordered a delivery box with banana pudding filled, chocolate peanut butter filled and a strawberry shortcake cinnamon roll. The cinnamon roll positively surprised me, as it was moist throughout, had a nice balance of cinnamon and sugar, and stood up well on its own even without the cream and strawberry toppings included on the side. Both donuts featured delicious, non artificial tasting fillings. The banana cream was a bit light but solid and the peanut butter cream in the Chocolate-PB donut hit the mark perfectly. Why no 5 stars? Well, unfortunately, DD's donuts suffer from the same problem of many other donut shops who craft large sized, filled specimens- the unfilled exterior portions dry out and you get too many bites with no filling. Fortunately, the filling quality here is superior to many other spots, but I sure wish that either the size was reduced to 3/4 or 1/2, or more filling was added to make for a perfect dough to filling ratio.

If you came to NOLA for indulgence, if you came for sweet and savory, if you came to busst, if you came unburdened of concerns of cholesterol and fat, searching for flavors that tantalize your palette, then here's where you'll need to stop. First off, that honey butta hot chicken sandwich is so delicious. The spice and sweet and the butta is so rich and leaves a long lasting impression. That is the bite you'll be thinking about and returning for. But don't sleep on the donuts either! Normally I'm not huge on donuts but that lil peanut butta cup donut with the whipped peanut mouse and chocolate ganache...yeah ima need that. It's perfectly balanced with the bitter chocolate ganache, and the light mouse. Obviously, after you're eating all this, you're gonna need something to wash it down. They have an excellent selection of coffee and teas, I enjoyed their chai latte, which wasn't too sweet for my pallet. After I thought I couldn't eat anymore, the chicory ice cream spoke to me so I had to answer. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Stopping here made for a perfect day of indulgence than walking up and down magazine Street and shopping.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The staff here is so nice too! They let us come hang out back here after we were done shopping and needed to rest for a bit. Which was nice because [[HIGHLIGHT]]this place has a decent amount of seating and a little patio in the back and some seats out front.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would absolutely recommend this place to anybody. Who's in town in New Orleans!

We popped over to District donuts for breakfast sandwiches and a donut after seeing how good the food looked on google. We were not expecting to find our meal at district the best we had while in New Orleans. First of all, the brussel sprouts are unreal and something we craved the whole 4 days we spent in New Orleans. Whatever sweetness they add to them, was fantastic! I ordered the ranchero burger and it was cooked to perfection! It was slightly spicy but so savory and filling! My hubby ordered the rooster and cleaned his plate! The Thai tea drink was a bit too sweet, as they make it with condensed milk, so if that's your thing, you'll love it! Lavendar latte impressed me and the shot was not bitter! We ordered donuts to go and they were great! Do not sleep on District!

I'm upset with myself for waiting so long to try this place but better late than never. Employees were very nice and happy to tell me about the food seeing that it was my first visit. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is cozy and open so you can see them get your order together, I like that![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Everything on the menu looks amazing but I had to have the infamous Hot Chicken & Honey Butter Biscuit and I ordered donuts to go. My order came out quickly and she was nice enough to hold my to go order until I got ready to leave. That chicken biscuit is Everything they said, buttery with a bit of sweet heat all soaking and oozing down that delicious biscuit! Good thing I don't live closer because that could be a problem for me! I was afraid that the donuts would not travel well but they were delicious!! I can't believe how good the donuts were!! Now I'm spoiled, I can no longer eat a mediocre donut.

Seated right away, and my server was sweet and funny! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience gives modern hipster with lots of window lighting and blues and grays.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Came for the donuts but got the hot chicken and butter biscuit which was soooo good. The chicken was tender but crunchy, the biscuit was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the flavor was sweet with a hint of spice! We also got the crème brûlée cinnamon roll which was very sweet so I suggest maybe getting that for a sweet treat and not just for breakfast if you aren't too into sweets.

Very impressive and I was so unsure of what to order because it was 11am and I was between wanting breakfast and lunch and the kolache helped me find balance. I also picked out two donuts that I ate later. I ate one later that day and one the next day and they were so fresh a filling.

This was one of my picks thanks to numerous recommendations on TikTok! Plus I love donuts, so it wasn't a hard choice! When you walk in you order and pay at the counter then they'll call your name when your food and or drink is ready. We got here around noon, so the donut selection was slimmer than I'm sure it was earlier in the day! I got a blueberry cheesecake donut. It was really good. We also got one of the hot chicken and honey butter french toast biscuits to share. We all enjoyed that too. I love a fancy donut, so when I get the opportunity I will always be sure to stop at a specialty local shop.

District Donuts Sliders Brew is part of a local chain that serves ice cream, donuts, burgers, and sandwiches. It has a Las Vegas Strip location, too. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The vibe in Garden District branch is super chill, and the staff here were really friendly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ordered: * Double Cheeseburger with extra onion $11.50 * Two Sliders & Waffle Fries with 2 pieces of chicken $11 The food was served quickly. The burger was a little on the smaller side, but it tasted pretty good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Since a lot of restaurants were closed for Memorial Day, we felt lucky to find this cute place open after strolling around the Garden District and it made for a nice and relaxed dinner stop.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] District Donuts Sliders Brew 2209 Magazine St, New Orleans, LA 70130

Large vanilla iced latte, with almond milk & caramel
    Lexi A.

One of the best coffee shops in the Garden District! The crew at this location is phenomenal. Even the one time my order was made incorrectly, they fixed it immediately and offered me free cookies. My go-to order is a vanilla iced latte with caramel and a chocolate chip cookie. They literally have the best chocolate chip cookies in New Orleans--put your money up and argue with someone else! I always stop by on my lunch break, and the service is consistently excellent. Great job, District/Magazine team!

    Jessica M.

We had the Ranch bird chicken sandwich and it was SO good. I can't stop thinking about it. I wish we had a District Donuts in Austin! The crispy Brussels sprouts were so tasty and fresh. We tried the Bananas fosters donut and the lemon raspberry. The Bananas foster was amazing! 10/10. Not too sweet and a perfect balance of flavors. The lemon raspberry was good, if you like a tangy lemon flavor you'll love this one.

She was polite and hospitable, and said she couldn't wait to see me. It was the type of interaction you'd expect from Chick-fil-a. When I arrived, a young lady, perhaps a teenager, took my order and quickly boxed up my two dozen donuts. Again, she was hospitable and patient. I felt valued, and not like I was bothering them for patronizing their business. The donuts were still warm when I got home. The family quickly devoured them. And the icing on the cake? Two dozen mixed donuts were only $22 including tax. Other donut shops and bakeries could take a lesson in customer service from this place. It's simple--either train your staff to interact respectfully and professionally with customers, or if they lack the people skills, consider placing them in roles behind the scenes where they can still contribute without impacting the customer experience. I'm talking to you Buttermilk Drop and Adrian's Bakery. Regarding ambience, it's seen better days, and it's in a sketchy part of town. And, yes, there was a car parked on the grass, almost on the sidewalk, in front of the store. Hehe! That said, it's a great value.

We were a party of 3 adults and 2 children (one being only 2 years old), and because of that they changed our table type from a 4-top to a 5-top and made us wait an additional 30 minutes. Meanwhile, multiple tables became available that easily could have accommodated us, but the hostess was determined to keep telling us we had to wait. To make matters worse, there was open bench seating in the back where customers ordering to-go could sit. I offered to order food to-go so we could at least sit down and get started while waiting, and she told me if I did that they would remove our name from the waitlist because "you have to pick one or the other." No willingness to problem solve whatsoever. She repeatedly said she was "sorry," but her actions showed the opposite. I was simply trying to work together to find some reasonable solution instead of continuing to watch everyone else get seated while our family, including small children, kept waiting. Absolutely horrible customer service experience.
