Special thanks to Schalloca, the nursing director, who supported my mother and our family with compassion throughout her stay. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend Aberdeen Heights due to the way we were treated after my mother passed. Despite her apartment being left clean and well-maintained--with only minimal wear after four years--they attempted to charge her estate over $1,600 for carpet and paint. These are routine turnover expenses, yet the facility has provided no photos, no contractor estimates, and no contractual justification for these charges, even after multiple formal requests. They also initially attempted to bill the estate for the full month of April, despite the fact that my mother passed on April 4. This is not only ethically questionable--it's completely unsupported by the agreement we signed. To make matters worse, we paid a $2,500 nonrefundable community fee when she moved in--presumably to cover administrative and turnover costs. The facility has not explained why that amount wasn't applied to any of these charges. The nursing staff treated my mother with dignity in life. But the business office has treated her estate with avoidance, silence, and a complete lack of transparency in death. I hope they handle the next grieving family with more compassion and accountability than they gave us. Update (April 23, 2025): I have officially opened a case with the Oklahoma State Long-Term Care Ombudsman regarding the charges and handling of my mother's account. The state is now reviewing Aberdeen Heights' billing practices. I will update this review as the investigation progresses.

Stay away from Montereau!…read more If I truly spelled out all of the issues we had with Montereau, this post would be so long that you'd give up half way through. So I will briefly spell out four factual disappointments (not an opinion -- these are things we actually experienced!). One: When my dad was living there, Montereau had troubles with their boiler which resulted in the water faucets (kitchen, bathroom, and shower) getting clogged DAILY. A maintenance person interrupted my dad DAILY to clean out the faucets so he had running water. Two: The food was horrible! Three: The care that was promised was not good, particularly on the weekends. When my dad moved from independent living to assisted living, the care was even worse! Four: Our experience was so bad at Montereau that we finally moved my dad to a different assisted living venue. It took well over a year to get my dad's deposit back. During the entire process, Montereau NEVER communicated a thing. My sister and I had to be deliberate on contacting Montereau regularly, trying to determine the status of his refund. Once his apartment was leased, it took Montereau over 60 days to send a check. Montereau was a miserable experience not only for my dad but also for my sister and me who had to interact with the staff there, including the president. Service was poor and communication was non-existent. If I could give Montereau zero stars, I certainly would!

At the last minute, we were informed that Montereau could no longer accept him because they chose to prioritize an internal patient. This left us scrambling with no placement and created unnecessary stress and risk for our family member. I understand that capacity and priorities can change, but once a patient is accepted and a transfer is scheduled, families rely on that commitment to make critical care decisions. I would strongly encourage better communication and more responsible admission practices to avoid putting other families in this situation. This experience raises serious concerns about reliability and how external patients are prioritized versus internal ones.

They frequently go weeks without an RN on staff (illegal) because they either get fired or quit due to poor working conditions. We had to sit with her around the clock near the end of her time there, and with US ASKING meds weren't given as ordered, she wasn't changed in a timely manner, and she wasn't rotated in bed in a timely manner- causing her to develop a Stage 3 decubitus ulcer on her coccyx. My husband and I learned in December of 2024 that he has a recurring sarcoma that is a nasty s-o-b, and the year 2025 has been a nightmare with chemotherapy sessions and hospital stays involving three weeks in March for treatment of thrush, a colostomy to avoid the tumor, a peg tube to give him nutrition when he has no appetite and blood transfusions, plus two weeks in M D Anderson Hospital in Houston in June to bring him back to life followed by another two weeks in a rehab hospital. Since we moved here in June, we have been enjoying living in a quiet, safe and protecting continuous care community for seniors in midtown Tulsa. The people who are managing the campus are wonderful, and while we didn't want to move here so soon, we know we are the best place for us now that life has gotten more complicated. As long as I am able, I will care for him. When either or both of us need the assistance, we will move into assisted living, and, in time, to their hospital/nursing center. There is also a memory unit now for people needing the services that provides anyone with neurological challenges such as dementia and Alzheimer's. We had been living in an apartment downtown, which we had wanted to do for some time. It was great as long as we were healthy and self-sufficient. We thought we could be there until well into our seventies T least. When I broke my ankle, and when my husband subsequently had the cancer recurrence, we found it more and more difficult to function well. It was then that we de used that we needed to move, but only one more time. Trinity Woods even helped us move-and that was quite a lot of work that they did, moving us from a 16th floor apartment to the patio home. Again, we are so grateful. I The cost is dear, but we are at a point where our lives are everything to us, and we want our children to be able to be with us as family and not as worried care providers. We have talked it over countless times, and feel that when the time came, Trinity Woods was the place for us. We are close to everything we want to do, secure in our home, and supported by a truly caring community. Thanks be to God, I can help my husband to the best of my ability.

Prices kept going up while food and other services got increasingly worse. No one came to fix things wrong at his home including flooding in the house every time it rained. We lost my dad in Jan. of 26 due to illness. After being at St. Francis, Covenant told us they would take my dad for rehab. They even sent me a confirmation and room number. The next day they backed out because a higher up told the social worker they didn't like my dad and voided it all. This was done to my dad as a member of their "community" out of spite. Since there were no other options for rehab, we lost him a few weeks later. Please find another facility for your loved one or yourself, don't be fooled by how this place looks on the outside.
