Then she told me it had another problem, vehicle front engine cover is leaking oil, cost 4,100.00, I talked to my son in florida who is a mechanic and owns his shop in jacksonville, fla. he's been a mechanic for over 35 years, and said that's ridiculous! So Im taking it to other mechanics here! I will never, ever do business again with Towne, which is a shame, because, I've bought cars there and repair work for 20 years, so you've lost me and anyone that's thinking about going there! Brought my truck in to be fixed. Service rep Jeff told me it would be a one day drop off. They didn't have the parts so they ordered them. After day 2 they never called me to tell me the truck was done after I called them to ask if the work had been complete. They said I'll call you right back and never did. I called them after day 4. They didn't do the work I requested. Avoid at all cost. Place doesn't deserve to have the name Ford on the building. I'd be ashamed if I had a business that ran like this sh*t hole did. I was really hoping to give this place a 5 star review. I brought my car in to have a recalled airbag replaced and thought there would be no issue. When I arrived, the lady at the cashier's desk was nice, and the guy I talked to from the service department seemed nice too. I was offered a rental car for the day on them while my car was being fixed, they said it should be done by 6 pm. Okay, no problem, I thought. They rent their cars through Hertz rent a car, so I waited probably close to an hour to be picked up. Their customer waiting area is clean but small, and offers free coffee and water. My car was done same day as promised. When I picked it up, I noticed it was making a strange noise. I took it to my usual mechanic the next day and found out it needed shocks on the front. Okay, just a coincidence, I thought. The next time I tried to use my automatic starter, it didn't work, as if it was not programmed anymore. When I reached out to Towne Ford, they claimed it was not their fault and I'd have to bring it back in and pay to have it reprogrammed. I was pretty annoyed because I KNOW that it happened because I had the airbag repaired, the same thing happened to someone I know. Instead of having me bring it back and taking 5 minutes to reprogram it for me, they lost a potential future customer. Oh, and Hertz rent a car tried to charge me $83 for the rental car 2 months later. Not sure what issue they had with Towne Ford paying for it but I didn't hear from either Towne nor Hertz, I just called my bank and had them dispute the charge and got my money back. Next time I'll try West Herr Ford if I need to go to the dealer for something. The experience here just left a bad impression overall. read more

I'm really not sure how to do this rating. The work that was done here today was exceptional as usual. We arrived without an appointment but were taken in and work began within 5 minutes. In less than 30 minutes, we were done. It took longer than usual because in addition to the oil change we got the tires rotated and both air filters replaced. The cabin air filter is a bear to put in. My dilemma is the atmosphere in the waiting room. A political speech was on the TV since nothing else was available. That was not the problem but counter staff making political statements and leading a discussion bothered me. It wasn't the discussion as I don't discuss politics in public. It just seems wrong to tell a captive audience your views, especially on company time. I'll return here again because of their great service but the overall atmosphere will determine if there are future visits read more

I have been do business with this dealership for the past 4 years all my purchases and maintenance & service repairs and haven't been anything less than a very loyal customer but today will be the last day that I'll ever step foot in their or deal with any Towne location. Service adviser callie or whatever her name is was vary vary rude and obnoxious. No1 should ever be talked to like that and when I was upset I asked for her manger and she refused and said she was the top one. I regret buying all my and family members vehicles from here and referring my friends but that will end right now! I was on my way to buy a vehicle from here that I saw online, but when I called the salesman was incredibly condescending to me, was being rude for no reason while I was just asking him simple questions. And then I was on the phone with him for some clarifying questions, when I was in the middle of saying "thanks that was helpful I really appreciate it" he hung up on me while I was in the middle of speaking...no "your welcome", "have a nice day", "ok goodbye"...nothing a normal person would say...and when I called back he was even more irritated-sounding and rude....might seem like a little thing to complain about, but I've never been treated so poorly by a "salesman" before...I turned around and went back home, and gave my business to west herr. You don't deserve people's business when you treat them so poorly. The WORST service department!! I consistently have problems with these folks. I will never service my car here and will NEVER buy a car from them. Today, I had an appointment to drop off my car @7:45am. Not a single car was on any of the lifts. I made the mistake of telling them that I wasn't going to wait and I rented a car. NINE hours later they are still not done!! It turns out that they never pulled the car in to start until about noon. They worked on cars that came in after me because people went to the waiting room. HORRIBLE customer service. I try to be a nice guy and not rush them and I get screwed. Don't buy or service here. There are too many choices for you, don't put up with this crappy attitude towards the customer. read more

It was recommended to me by a mechanic in North Carolina that I was due for a brake job. I took my car to towne ford to get.my brakes done and get an oil change. They reminded me that I needed a recalled done and said they would do that also. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call from the mechanics to tell me that there was Nothing wrong with my brakes and no need for them to do anything. I can't believe that a dealership would actually go out of their way to not do work that was not necessary. Wonderful experience with Towne Ford. I highly recommend. read more

At the point of purchase dealer failed to disclose that the vehicle had serious carburetor clogging along with various oil leak issues. Dealer had clearly stated that the vehicle had passed NYS inspection and ready for sale which wasn't correct . Upon request for a copy of the report I was told dealer did not have time to do so and they will have it inspected before car is being shipped out to me in Los Angeles. After receiving the vehicle I have noticed that the car dies out frequently and oil from the main seal is dripping to the exhaust manifold shield causing the vehicle to smoke making the car is unsafe to drive. Per the dealer General Manager Mr Anthony Daily's request I had taken the vehicle to a local Mazda dealer for an inspection and estimate. Upon inspection it was clear that the vehicle did have existing carburetor and other engine issues . I try reaching out to Mr Daily numerous time but had no contact. Dealer never returned my calls or text. Dealer had misrepresented and sold a vehicle without disclosing properly. Dealer is simply ignoring my calls. This is not a good business practice. Now I am stuck with a 3000 repair bill.What a shame. read more

I know I've reviewed before but I like to give positives when it's warranted. In May, I took my 2008 Escape to Towne for oil change and inspection. After about an hour, the service manager brought me into the service area to show me all the items wrong with the car. Ball joint, brace that holds the engine up, and a few other things. The total repair $2200.00. I told him maybe it's not worth having it fixed. Then a friend of a friend suggested I go to his mechanic. Great! All the work was done for $1400.00! I pulled out of the service station and the car was shaking. I was told the drive shaft had warped when he removed it-got another at the junk yard. No charge. Then I made a quick stop and it felt that the wheel was going to fall off! He fixed that by tightening a bolt. Then the car shook at 55mph. I took it right to Towne. They repaired everything for $600.00, labor and parts. Lesson learned-I should have had Towne repair it in the first place. Now my car is safe. read more

Having bought a brand new truck from Towne a couple years ago, we went to the website as we were looking at Ford Escapes. Found a couple we wanted to look at and had some questions on. Called and talked to Paul in new car sales who said he would check for the car we were looking for and get back to us. We never received a return call. We then called and talked to Kevin in used cars sales a couple days later about a 2016 which was on the lot and got a 'can't be bothered attitude' when asking about the after market warranty. We then called the Sales Manager and left a voicemail stating we would like to talk to him and we also never received a return call from him. Then proceeded to ask to talk to Kevin, the General Manager, left a message with the receptionist and never received a return call from him either. They lost a car sale as we were fed up with Towne Ford and went elsewhere where we purchased a new car. This is how they treat a return customer who would have driven over an hour to do business with them again. read more
