As soon as we walked in he came up to us to help us out. We went to his desk and talked about what I was looking into. He then got the 2 cars pulled up for me to take a look at. He allowed me to test drive the Tucson and let me bring my husband and newborn along with me. He helped us get the car seat and stroller into the car and told me about some features of the car. I decided I wanted the car and it didn't take long to get everything squared away so that I could leave with my car that same day! It was a very easy and painless process! Overall unhappy with the customer service provided by the used car sales of this Northtown Hyundai. I'm in the military stationed overseas and I began looking for a vehicle for my carless wife as she came back early for house things. Since so much info is available online I was able to pinpoint a few specific vehicles for her to go check out to save her the hassle of figuring out what cars would have all the features she wants etc. Northtown Hyundai had a Palisade that was overall exactly what she was looking for and it was relatively close to where she was currently staying. Everything went smooth initially, though the car's interior was filthy and the center console was damaged when she initially went to see it. That was fine though as they said it would all be fixed and cleaned, so a price was agreed on and a deposit was put down to hold the vehicle. That's about where the good service stopped. They said they would bring someone in to repair the center console that was damaged and get the car cleaned up. A week passed and my wife repeatedly had to call or go in person for an update just to see the vehicle in the same condition. I understand if their repair person was on vacation or unavailable (what they said), however you could at least reach out for a status update and inform her that the vehicle wouldn't be ready as soon as initially said. There was a bit of back and forth, and eventually I told my wife to just request a small discount and we could just get it repaired afterwards because she was without a vehicle. After a bit of back and forth they agreed and still needed to detail the vehicle over the weekend so she agreed to that. Days passed and she goes to finalize paperwork and receive the vehicle, and it's still dirty inside. They said it was cleaned, but it wasn't done very well all over. Tire shine splattered all over the sides of the vehicle. Kyle was the salesman she initially had who regularly took awhile to respond to messages and used the "I tried calling you" excuse whenever she would go in for an update. Dominic the used car manager had to step in to finish the deal though gave my wife a hard time about the communication not being that bad with the sales rep. Long story short. Poor communication and bad customer service once the deposit was taken. If the vehicle wasn't a decent deal and close to where my carless wife was temporarily staying before I came back to the states, I would have canceled the deal based on customer service alone. I specifically went out of my way to find dealerships for her with a high rating to avoid a bad experience, but clearly I was misled. 10/10 wouldn't recommend. read more

He told me it should have only taken 6 weeks at most (it had been 3 months at that point) and that it's clear no one had even attempted to process it for me. I have since received the check and it has cleared so I thought it time to update this review. Since he was nice and upfront about it and even apologized I am updating my review from 1 to 2 stars as I do appreciate him handling everything for me but it still does not make up for the months (heck, years) of headaches this dealership has caused me. read more

2023 Review If anyone is reading this please save yourself the headache. Don't buy a Hyundai vehicle unless you want your car stolen. After my car got stolen and found destroyed I got it fixed from their collision center they took 2-3 months to fix my 2019 Tucson. The reason it took so long is because of the amount of cars being stolen. I had to pay for a rental for all that time and I tried coming back here to see if they could do anything for me after it was fixed. Nothing was done the store manager was rude stating it was only Kia cars being stolen when in reality it was both Hyundai and Kia. The manager there seemed like a good person at first or so I thought. He's an older male I called him on the phone and explained the situation and he told me he had a few options for me but as soon as I got there he sent me to one of his salespeople. As soon as he noticed I wasn't trying to pay upfront for another car things changed. He told me to get another job so I could make more income. Something that always stood with me. What type of humane person says that to someone who had to go through so much? I'm sure there was more he could do for me if he really wanted to but only had one option for me. Didn't seem to care about my situation seemed like he cared more about another sale. His options for me were limited either trade the car for another one and pay the difference or buy another car that's it. Like I had over 10k available after the car they sold me got stolen. Again please don't do it to yourself. Hopefully, the company will make this right. Worse experience ever buying a car. If you don't believe me look at the news of Hyundai vehicles taken in Erie County/ Buffalo NY just imagine everywhere else. Have a great day. While John our sales person is wonderful, the service department is awful. We scheduled an oil change, tire rotation, inspection, and asked them to check the charger since often it becomes stuck and we have to lift the hood and find the release button. When we picked it up, they'd not checked the charger and said we would have to reschedule for another day or leave it there. When we asked the service mgr if we left it, when would it be ready, Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, he say, "yes, Monday or Tuesday or Wednesday." I complained again to the woman who takes payment. Her explanation is that the call center people don''t communicate well. So, while that "explains" it, that is not an excuse. They effectively made their problem my problem. If you wait at their place they have a nice waiting area with coffee, tea and very good chocolate chip cookies! I just purchased a vehicle from Hyundai, this is the second time I've been here. Previously, I leased a car here. I'm a fan of Hyundai vehicles, I think they look pretty sleek. I had a Hyundai Elantra and decided to go with the Hyundai Tucson and I absolutely love the way it handles, it's like driving a car. Anyway, both times I've been to this dealership, staff gave me the right amount of attention and didn't make me feel pressured or unwanted like some other places have. This wasn't my first or second rodeo. I went in knowing what I wanted, did all the research I needed to and felt confident I could handle myself to negotiate. It was still a bit intimidating, as I think that feeling is natural when your purchasing a car but staff here is so easy going, they listen to you, make you feel totally comfortable. Nothing like being able to go shopping for a car, finding what you want and taking it home that night. I'm a happy Hyundai customer and will come here again to service and purchase future vehicles. By the way, I also used their service department to get heated seats and a remote starter. This place is busy but they all take good care of you. We had a great experience at Northtown Hyundai. Our salesman, Jeremy, was exceptional. We went in knowing pretty much exactly what we wanted and had done our research on the website as far as options available and leasing specials. Our leases were ending on the 2 Hyundais that we had and we wanted to replace them with 2 more. First night we went in and walked out an hour later with the deal all done. We went back 2 nights later and again within an hour had our paperwork all set and drove away in our new cars. Everyone we encountered was friendly and courteous. Here I am with out of town plates & having never been to the "shop" desperately seeking a fix because a long journey awaits in two days. PLEASE HELP ME .... My car is stalling and that darn engine light won't disappear, It started when my local lube shop guy said he trusted Northtown (ah trust) after saying my problem was something he would rather not try to figure out (Kudos to MONRO on Main in Williamsville because he could have ripped me off if he was that kind of guy.). My phone call interaction was better than most cold calls and the gentleman said come on in!! So at four in the afternoon my Hyundai limps into a service area parking slot. Engine light shining brightly but no stall outs from the lube shop to the dealer. I walk into a service area where you could just sense happiness. Smiles were everywhere ... Laughter in the air ... Discovered Melissa in the corner appreciates a candy bar but most importantly I watched customers being treated with concern first but then with a caring friendly smile. One of the first things my guy, Michael A., says is that he is not sure if my car can be looked at tonight. Heck it's four in the afternoon I did not expect immediate service from a non-customer's unexpected appearance at the service counter at the end of the day. Out we went to my car as he did that quick computer diagnosis that showed why my engine light was on & why the car was stalling. Sensors! Not one but two. What the heck are sensors going to cost me? Won't a tune up suffice? He explained that most likely it's a bad sensor not a major problem and then he said he would do his best to get the car looked at that evening. It is now 4:30 and I am like really impressed unless he's going to add late hour overtime into my bill. He pointed out I needed some recall work done & then asked if I needed the shuttle. YES! Please! Ed the shuttle guy and I had a great chat as he drove me home where I would await the "what's the damage call." Ed said Northtown would pick me up when the car was repaired. Shortly before 8 this morning my guy, Michael, called me. The car was repaired, recall issues dealt with and it was ready for my long journey. In the work they discovered the sensor issue was related to the recall. My guy had his guys drive my car over 40 miles last night (I did ask if they went out partying.). The engine light did not come back on, the engine ran smoothly, and all was well. Uh .... How much? It was related to a recall ... NO CHARGE. When would you like the shuttle to pick you up? No charge??? A shuttle at my call ... Morning shuttle driver is a "retired" former librarian working 18 hours a week for Northtown. We had a nice chat. Service staff was smiling together and laughing welcoming me ... I am their customer now! They won me over with smiles, care, quality service and a work environment that showed they liked being at work. Melissa checked me out (paperwork folks ... Paperwork). Alex and Austin were extremely helpful- as soon as I walked in I was welcomed and provided with the best service one could ask for at a car dealership. Alex offered coffee and water shortly after I arrived. I decided to go with a lease deal on an Ioniq and was very happy with the price and trade in value for my old car. I purchased a brand new Elantra about two weeks ago from Paul Tronolone, I am blown away at the level of service and attention I received throughout the entire process! This was my first new car purchase and I probably wasn't the easiest customer to deal with but I never felt like an inconvenience. He was extremely knowledgeable and thorough. He took the time on the test drive and delivery date to go over the feature and options in the car. Paul and Bob (the finance manager) were able to help me get financing and even beat the rate my credit union of 8 years gave me! I followed up with Paul a couple times with questions after I drove the car home and got the same great service as the first day I came in. I couldn't have imagine the process going any smoother. AKA Northtown Hyundai Genesis. Selected model of Genesis I wanted, was given price of car + options I wanted. Waited a few weeks for it to come in. After it was in I asked to review deal paperwork and there was an added $1,397 line item for "Zurich Shield". It's an after-market paint / interior "protection" package that I didn't want - the kind Consumer Reports says you generally don't need. It's just there for additional dealer profit regardless of how they pitch it. Researching online the product has poor reviews, particularly when service is needed. I didn't want it added to the car where it could mess up the factory paint or interior leather. Genesis (salesman Vlad) refused to sell car without it. He said he required it on all cars and it wouldn't be fair to others if he didn't require it on my car too (fairness in this case apparently means everyone gets equally scammed buying from Vlad). I called both Northtown and Genesis USA to see if they were aware of and supported this practice and both said they have no problem with it. This answer killed the deal for me now and in the future with both this dealership and the brand. Regardless of how fantastic the dealer tries to pitch this product's features as being, who wants to be forced to pay almost $1.4k for an unneeded addon that has no relationship with the car manufacturer and that has such poor reviews in order to get a car? I have bought 4 cars from this dealer and have always been treated professionally and fairly. Their sales staff is excellent and very knowledgeable. My salesman, Paul Tronolone is excellent. He is friendly and knows his product. He takes his time to explain the various features of the car and is available by phone after I bought the car to answer any questions that I had. I have bought a new Sonata about 2 months ago and a Tucson for my wife about 6 months ago from Paul and would highly recommend him. This is my wife's third Tucson all purchased from Northtown. The service department is also very good. Over the years I have dealt with them on a number of occasions and they treat the customer very well. The work is done right and I have had nothing but good experience with this dealership. Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a car. read more

I just purchased a 2012 Subaru Forrester from nothtown Subaru. When I walked in, I was approached by a nice young salesman named James. My husband told him what we were looking for and James immediately took us for a test drive! Previous to this dealer, I had been to 4 others with no success in even test driving a vehicle because they didnt listen to me at all, or could not find the car on their lot (which their system said they had) for me to drive. At northtown, there was no pushy people. No one tried to sell me anything other than what I was looking for. I told James my max payment I'd be comfortable with and he made it happen! The best part was I got to bring my large dog along to pick up my new vehicle and everyone was amazing with her! She was even allowed inside the dealership! I had a great deal on a new 2018 Hyundai Sonata because of two unique incentives that Northtown Hyundai gave this month. The first was to give $1000.00 loyal incentive to customer with a Hyundai lease already. Second was the military $590.00 incentive to any customer who had ever served in the military no matter when. This was great because my wife served way back in the early 1960's. No other dealer provides such an incentive as far as I know. The deal involved only $560.00 down up front. This payment included All fees , registration, first payment. The monthly amount for the lease I'll keep to myself but it was super duper. Our salesman Chris Troxel whom we have dealt with for past 10 years and was great to deal with again. I can only give accolades for our new phantom black Sonata deal. read more

If I could give the service department ZERO stars I would. My son's Hyundai failed inspection at another place because he needed brake brakes. Since he had a recall, we decided to take the car to the dealer. I handed all of the paperwork to the service guy and he wrote everything down that Delta Sonic said needed to be done...which included calipers. My son drives the car home from Sheridan to NT, and then immediately falls ill and is hospitalized. Weeks later we go to get gas in the vehicle, and we hear this god awful noise. We thought it was the front brakes. We took it to another service place and they tell us that the noise is the back brakes of which we JUST PAID $400!!! It was metal on metal and they said the calipers were shot. Delta Sonic told us that the calipers/brakes were bad and needed to be replaced, and wrote it down. Hyundai gave us new brakes, but left the old calipers and passed the car for inspection. We ended up having to pay for new brakes just three weeks later. Also, Hyundai left our wheel flap just hanging there, half bolted on. We called and they did say that they had a new guy who did the work on the car. However they refuse to give us our money back for really shotty, crappy work!! We paid twice for brakes and they say it is not their fault. They boast about customer service and veterans (which my his Husband is) but they do not stand behind their words. In a time where we are struggling to pay hospital bills the last thing we needed was to pay for brakes twice because they failed to do what they claimed to have done!! STAY Update: That reply was a line of bull. Delta Sonic did recommend calipers and I DID tell your service agent upon arrival. He handed me paperwork back and said, "Let's just see what our guy says because, well, it IS Delta Sonic after all!" Nevertheless, did your guy even notice that the calipers were bad when repairing our brakes? Every mechanic that I have spoken to since has said that any GOOD mechanic would have noticed and I would have been called. But your manager did tell us when we called to complain about the situation that your mechanic was "green" and probably did not know. Wow, that made us feel better! A teenage boy was sent home with an unsafe car and inspection sticker from your service department. Yes, I did say to do the minimum of what I could afford at the time to pass inspection because I am a teacher and was out of work for the summer, but I DID say that we would be back to get the front brakes done (which YOU passed inspection on). Are you saying that the brakes that I purchased from your store were "cheap" that I they wouldn't make it more than 300-500 miles?? Well buyer BEWARE. Instead of paying $$$ for back brakes, I ended up paying $$$$ for them. DOUBLE. And do not tell me that you spoke to my mechanic because they are the ones that suggested I call you in the first place. You could have owned up and reimbursed us minus the inspection fee or even credited us. I would have had more respect for you. And no, I'm not going to talk anymore to your agent, as he was rude to us. You win. We are too tired to fight you and quite honestly not worth the cost of small claims court, but believe me...I will NEVER purchase an automobile from your store and will drive an hour away if I need a Hyundai dealer. We might have gotten my son a new car from you since we do like it, but instead of costing you $$$, this mistake cost you $$$$$ or more because I WILL be telling everyone and anyone that will listen about our experience or is thinking of purchasing a car or servicing one from your business. Obviously they're bad at applying for loans from banks, I was thinking of buying a vehicle from here but chose not to because I found a much better deal somewhere else, and got approved the first try at another dealer for a loan from a bank, anyways, two months later I'm still getting rejection letters from banks after I had called off the deal TWO MONTHS AGO! This is my 9th rejection letter. Very annoyed. They couldn't do anything when I went in to talk about it except really just act like they knew what they were talking about and had to do what they had to do to get me out of there. They did not offer to call banks to stop sending me letters or the credit agencies. Don't go here!
