Due to the pandemic, we've been able to transition our child from full-time daycare to preschool…read moresince we both work from home. I did a lot of research regarding local preschools, and Child's Play was the clear winner for us! The cost is very affordable (and listed on their website, I believe). Hours are 9am-1pm with some additional before and after care options (offered separately not by the school). Drop-off and pick-up lines are very quick and smooth, especially compared to the stressful situations that I observe at other local preschools. The director is very warm and friendly. The school is faith-based with weekly chapel. COVID policies are either in line or slightly more laidback than other preschools / childcare locally. Children are not required to wear masks at any age. Teachers do not wear masks in the classroom, but some choose to wear masks when aiding the children in and out of cars in the drop-off and pick-up line. I have not personally heard of any COVID cases at the school this school year (2020-2021). I believe children can start as young as 18-24 months and stay until kindergarten. If you choose to hold back your child from K5, note that there is not a K5 transitional program but they can repeat the K4 curriculum. We have been very pleased with Child's Play and would recommend the program to anyone!

Love sending my child here. The teachers are great, and the kids come home with lots of projects.read more

My husband and I scheduled to do a tour last week. We were so excited because we heard great things…read moreabout this school through the reviews. We thought it would be a great fit for our 10-month-old son. From the moment we got there, the Director did not greet us very welcomingly. She seemed very rushed and anxious by having us there. It was a very awkward and uncomfortable tour. When we finished, we mentioned that we would like to get on the waitlist, as many daycares are stating that their availability is full. Her direct response was, "I would visit other daycares before making the decision or choice to enrolling at Goddard." I have never felt so rejected and disrespected of my time. This is not the way a first-time parent should feel about providing their child the best education/care. I honestly can say that this is an inclusion school, not diverse at all. Very disappointed!

Beware! The owner believes herself to be above the state laws for Pre-K programs!…read more Charges $165 per MONTH for lunch ($8 per day - do you spend that much on YOUR lunch? Can you say "profit center"? State guidelines are a MAX of $120 per month) Refuses to allow lunch to be provided by the parent for Pre-K programs, although state law says it is required to be allowed if any other class in school can bring food from home. Now she says that yes, you can bring lunch from home, but must STILL pay $80 per month, to NOT be provided any food! Yeah, profit center. She does not care at all about the laws of the state. She was asked about other options for low income families and lied to each and every person in Georgia Pre-k. State law says the state must approve any disenrollment, but Farah threw my son out today, while calling me names (possibly homophobic or maybe just because I am a young struggling veteran). What did I do? Explained the law to her that said she could not charge for lunch if the student was a "Category 1" student. She told me I still owed her money. That she could kick out my son because it is her school. If you ask for an accounting, don't think you will get something from a computer. No - handwritten scribbles. I have asked MULTIPLE times for a bill. Dont expect her organization to improve We have used other Goddard Schools - this one is horrible. The teachers here are amazing but the second you say anything about the ridiculous prices or the owner breaking the law *and yes, there is now an open investigation and this school may be on probation* she will kick you out and embarrass you. The owner does not care about your children. Only your wallet.

They have a ProCare app and share pictures of my boys doing their work and playing almost daily. For Thanksgiving and Christmas, they invite parents to share special holiday meals with the kids, and the kids sing a chorus for them. I would give it a 5, except my boys have had some trouble being bullied by other boys in their class. And if the Georgia red clay could be covered up in the playground area, that would be helpful. We've had some new, lighter-colored pants stained beyond repair. They get a 4 because the teachers have always been quick to respond to any issues and make it right. I want to shout out to my boys' teachers, Mrs. Amy and Mrs. Gigi, they are phenomenal.

The worst learning center for your children. My husband and I enrolled our son in this school and…read morehe has developed and adapted terrible behaviors because of lack of supervision from his teachers (who looks overwhelmed every single day), lack of support from the administration and lack of communication from the admin. The first red flag was when Tabitha told me, in the main lobby, as I was coming in, infront of parents, that my son was being "aggressive". That took me by surprise. My son is 1 years old, that verbiage is ridiculous. Then, the director Amanda Meadows said that my son "busted" a child's lip and he "clawed" a child. How do I know all of this to be true? I tried to set up meeting with Amanda and Dalis to confirm this and speak through this because my husband and I do not believe our son clawed or busted anyone! In which they DO NOT respond back. All I hear from the administration, including Amanda is that they are understaffed so she is consistently running in circles with no purpose except handing out papers to me stating that my son Is suspended. My son has only been enrolled for 2 months and he has been disenrolled as of today because this administration and teachers do not know how to do their job correctly! My son has NEVER had a behavior issue. The final straw was Amanda handing me a paper AGAIN infront of parents, saying that he is suspended and I told her that I would appreciate if we spoke in private and not infront of other people and she said "this space here was an office" and continued to talk about my sons behavior. The Tabitha lady was rude and I witnessed her talking too firm to a child that bit and when she saw me look at her she stopped. Another teacher who is dark skinned and younger had my son on her hip after changing him and I walked into his classroom and this other toddler was crying so instead of consoling this toddler who's visibly upset, she was staring at her and did nothing! I had to console the toddler myself! The facility is dirty. They high level clean, but don't sanitize thoroughly. Our previous academy for our son was 1000 times better! They are called MT. Elizabeth academy and I recommend everyone there! This has to be the worst learning center. Today was my sons last day and whoever packed his bag put his craft papers at the bottom of the bag all crumbled up!!! M No consideration. They are so quick to suspend and slow for everything else! This admin only responds to email in LENGTH about child's behavior and state they are doing EVERYTHING. Which is untrue. It was 2 weeks since enrollment and this Tabitha lady said "what do you guys do, we have exhausted all our resources" like really? In 2 weeks time?! How much can you exhaust in 2 weeks time and see results over night?! Makes no sense! I tried to meet with Amanda the director this last time and asked if we could meet on the coming Friday and she said no because she would be out of office (which you NEVER SEE her or the assistant director in the mornings or past 5pm - so if you need to talk to them, good luck) so she mentioned she was ONLY available the next day in the middle of the day and if we couldn't meet the next day then she would schedule something the following week! Which is ridiculous. I told her that I needed to speak with her or a superior asap about my son and didn't want my son to get disenrolled. Instead of giving me someone's contact information so that we could meet I contacted Dalis, the enrollment director. I emailed her, I texted her and the next day I called her at 12pm, she answered and said "oh I was going to call you. Can I call you at 4-5?" And never did! Why even say you were going to call me and then reschedule your call to me?! So UNPROFESSIONAL. All the teachers that we made contact are rude. They won't look at you in the eyes and say good morning or good bye or nothing. Especially the dark skinned young lady. She was farthest from being nice. The assistant director Kaley was rude and unprofessional and made our son situation hostile. I wish I could write more. All this happened in 2 months.

The best thing this center has going for it is the new Director, Stephanie. Unfortunately, our experience with Executive Director Simmie (who also happens to be the daughter of the owners) was consistently disappointing. When we raised concerns, we often felt dismissed, and communication was poor. Instead of feeling like our concerns were heard or addressed, we left many conversations feeling frustrated. Another ongoing frustration was there was rarely anyone available at the front of the building during morning drop-off. When we first started attending, there was someone at the desk but toward the end there was never administration present in the morning. The teachers were tucked away in their rooms but no one in the front of the building - raising safety concerns. If parents had a question, concern, or needed to communicate something important about their child, there often wasn't anyone there to speak with. It gave the impression that parent communication was simply not a priority. One of our concerns was that the primary afternoon teacher had difficulty communicating with us in English. We found this challenging, especially when discussing our son's day and developmental progress. When we raised this concern, we did not feel it was taken seriously by Simmie. In contrast, Stephanie acknowledged that this communication barrier was a significant issue and recognized the impact it had on families. We appreciated that she listened and understood why it mattered. We also repeatedly asked for support with potty training and were told it would be addressed, but we never saw a consistent plan implemented. The classroom itself appeared to have a limited selection of older toys, and we saw very little evidence of structured educational activities or curriculum. Our son frequently came home with reports of scratches, hitting, and other incidents involving classmates. While occasional incidents happen in any daycare, the frequency became concerning to us and ultimately contributed to our decision to leave. The difference since changing schools has been remarkable. In just two weeks at his new center, our son has been happier, more engaged, and thriving. Every family's experience may be different, but based on ours, I encourage parents to thoroughly explore all of their childcare options before making a decision.

My child has been in these angels care for two years. I am a single father, work a blue collar job as a plumber and my child gets more than just "adequate care". She receives nurturing, love, attention and education. Quite frankly, i need a dose of that nurturing and love every now and then. I can come in dressed for a meeting or grizzled and unshaven from a rough week in the field(leave muddy boots in the car) and i am treated with the same level of care. Its not "mr wood", its mike and i prefer it that way. This is child CARE, not boot camp. I previously had her at another AMAZING facility@ the Goddard School, but the price was nearly double and she receives the sane small class size, they do homework with her and play with nifty tech, cant imagine better care. Chris is awesome- every month we have cool activities at night, game night, a Sadie hawkins dance, the fall festival, trunk or treat(complete with haunted house) and most recently the holiday show(teachers had a bit in it too!) Im grateful she was much more concerned with the children in her care than impressing a potential employee...if you cant wait five minutes at the door as a security measure, you don't have the patience for kiddos.

They are very involved with their students, and have all kinds of activities! A few weeks back they had a fall festival and a drive in movie where they even made little box cars for the kids to sit in. They just had Trunk or treat and that was a blast and my kids loved it! They are even having a thanksgiving feast! Mrs. Jennifer is my sons Infant teacher, she is so awesome! River is always a happy boy when I pick him up and they always have something to write on his daily sheet, letting you know what he did that day and how he was acting and how he ate. I love being able to keep up with that! My Step son has also just started Crimson and Mrs. Ruby is his teacher. After 2 days of him being at Crimson, he came home saying yes mam! Which of course I try to remind him to say but he likes to tune us out like any 2 year old! He gets so excited when we walk into the school and the first thing he asks in the morning is if he gets to see Ruby today. When I pick him up he is always so excited, he loves to show me around his class room and show me what he did that day. So I would day Jaxx also gives Crimson a thumbs up!!! The school also has themes that every class participates in this month is medieval times, and they have already started decorating with the kids crafts and pictures around the school and halls. I love it! I honestly can not say enough good things about this school/ teachers/ and management! This is a wonderful place to be!
